Well, I came for Zumba since the flood of 12/23 kept me from teaching my own Senior classes. Got a pass, and walked in sheeply (many of you know the previous gym/owners banned me because of my review of their attitude and lack of any decorum when it came to cleanliness...), not knowing what to expect. Nicky D was teaching, and OH WAS THE NAME FAMILIAR. In the Metrowest Gold Circles Nicky is known to be THE BEST alongside my bestie Martha Convers instructors. (I'm one of the "shake it til you make it" ok instructors with great students). WELL! WELLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1. Clean as a whistle. The cleanliness and decor had me at hello. What a relief from the previous pig sty. This place is ALMOST as clean as my beloved Hudson F45. Whistle clean.
2. Staff. WHAT AN IMPROVEMENT. Not hauty or 'tudy. Just plain old good old fashioned people-forward people. Love it.
And Nicky? Well! The one hour xmas delight was easy to follow, sweat and happiness breaking steps and music. A workout with LUUUUVVVV. A must try for people shy to "dance" (its not dance people, its a fitness class that happens to have some shaky shaky and lots of HIIT!).
Well DONE Crunch. You fixed it. I hope to come back when I'm vitamin Z deprived. As for Nicky? YOU ROCK IT WOMAN!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Extremely disappointing experience. This is the first gym I've ever been a member of and I've gone every week for the last 8 months. What an amazing learning experience. I had no idea how deceptive the business's practice actually was.
I was having a great experience and when they had a personal training session sale I decided to do the 3 month. I was not told that I could not cancel any time and I was not told that it would continue after the 3 months unless I went out of my way to cancel. I signed the contract but I was misled into thinking that was just a formality for liability purposes ( like if I got hurt at the gym )
I had an amazing trainer, but I actually found out she was leaving the gym. When she told me this I decided to cancel my PT because I didn't want a new trainer, but since I didn't cancel 30 days before my next billing period, they charged me another $144 for 4 more training sessions. I told them I didn't want this because I didn't want a new trainer and I didn't know 30 days in advance that she would be leaving. When I canceled my training sessions I was told that I was all set, but this was a lie because I was charged again.
I tried to talk to the GM and he gaslit me the entire conversation. I planned on continuing to be a member indefinitely and now I am taking them to small claims court and reporting them to the BBB. I wish I had read the yelp reviews before signing up.
I'm grateful for the experience because I'll never be in this situation again, and I'm disgusted at how a local business treats someone who happily uses their service every week.
****Do yourself a favor, go on the BBB website and search for crunch in Worcester and look at all the complaints. They aren't even accredited****Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Business owner information

I joined and the following week hurt my back and needed surgery. I told them to pause my Paul my membership until I healed. They were all yes yes. And then I get a collection notice. Scum. Don't care about anything but their monthly 20 bucks.

Clean, gym goers are chill, staff isn't too talkative but neither am I. Can get super packed at times and cramped, but I've been going early and tbh the early group of people is great, usually no wait for equipment/more of a willingness from people to let you work in with them. I haven't run into any billing issues or surprises that weren't listed in the contract/terms of service. I don't use PTs, but from what I've seen they are all very nice, competent, and care about their clients. Only complaint would be a few of the machines ALWAYS seem to be down, but I'm sure the repair guy is swamped, and if you can't learn to adapt and change up your workout on the fly, I've heard weeny hut jr. is looking for members.

My experience was fine until I signed a personal training agreement. Take my advice: DO NOT SIGN UP FOR PERSONAL TRAINING! I signed up and paid for 3 months of personal training. I then provided a 30-day cancellation notice so I would no longer be charged. I was told my cancellation would be taken care of but I was still charged for an additional month. I fulfilled my contract and followed the necessary steps to cancel...now the manager will not respond to my requests for a refund. Crunch Fitness lost me as a member permanently. I am disgusted by the horrible customer service and bad business practices.

Gym used to be good but lately all the seem to know how to do is raise everyone's prices (With no communication of doing so) while simultaneously decreasing club hours, not fix broken equipment and not get replacements for broken accessories (in specific, handles to attach to cable machines which at the current point there are only 1.5 pairs in the entire gym which have snapped and are tied together ). Gym is terrible at this point. Management is horrible.

The people leaving bad reviews either don't know how to lift, or have lots of trouble processing what agreements are. I love this gym and am only writing this as I came across the negativity surrounding it. I have come here for multiple years- since the place was originally Boost Fitness- and the establishment has only gotten better as time moves forward. The environment and atmosphere is great for people who like to socialize, but no one will bother you either if you like to keep your head down. The equipment stays clean, the gym etiquette is above average, and is overall a great community. Of course the place has its busy hours like any other place, but it is not at all impossible to navigate. Just had to shed light toward this place- it only keeps on improving!

worst gym ever
my boyfriend was at this gym for a little bit moved to a new gym so he canceled his membership, he's tried to cancel it multiple times before it was confirmed and even after was charged 79 bucks a YEAR later. DO NOT go to this gym if you want your money to be yours he was charged way more too i just don't know exact expenses this place is disgusting and should be shut downHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jun 10, 2019
Just joined a month ago.
PROS:
+ Huge Place
+ Lots of varied equipment
+ Open all the time
+ Reasonable Monthly Fees
+ Good amount of treadmills and bikes
+ A few bench press benches
CONS:
- Super crowded
- Only a handful of benches (generally all in use)
- Lots of Bros dropping weights
- Lots of people incorrectly using equipment - I feel they are doing more harm than good wrenching their joints on things.
- Almost no one wipes down equipment after use.
- The wi-fi, while included, is shockingly terrible and slow. I don't even use it - my phone is faster.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - JayeMarie H.Clinton, MA318Jun 14, 2021
I signed up for personal training after a lengthy sales pitch and being told there's no price tag on health. I was told it was for 4 visits.
I gave my credit card and then was told I'd be mailed a copy.
I was mailed a copy, I put in the folder for receipts.
I was unaware that I had been tricked into signing a contract for 3 months.
Called them up and explained, was told nobody could help me on Sunday even though they managed to take my money. I was told the manager would call me first thing. At 10 am I called them. Explained the situation and they said they would look into it. 10:31 I get a copy of the contract. Go down there and they tell me how as a courtesy they won't take money I didn't authorize next month. Stay away from this place!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1
