When they saw my puppy's big belly, 8 weeks old, 2.6 lbs, and saw he was lethargic and fever 103+, they wanted to admit him when they hadn't preformed any tests yet. They thought he had parvo even though no throwing up or fever. I had just bought him at a puppy mill in Lillington, NC. I said go ahead and do the parvo test and it was negative. I said just give him a general dewormer because I did see a tape worm standing up in his stool, so they did. They was also worried about his big belly but I thought it might just be worms so they gave the dewormer and antibiotics. They got some dirt out of his ears but not a lot yet I got charged for that and they didn't even say their would be a charge for that either. They cut his toe nails in the front for free but didn't bother to do the back ones, maybe to get me to come back and spend more.
They also saw my 1 1/2 dog, 7.4 lbs for constipation. I for sure see severe constipation at home and then regular stool. They did x-ray and fecal exam and blood work and said he's fine and I asked her if she thought this constipation was in my mind and her answer sounded to me like she definitely thought it was in my mind! She offered tummy meds and pain meds just to cover up the problem and only then offered me a vial to take home to collect the hard stool when this should have been first. I paid and walked out and made a bad review and they sent me a letter saying I couldn't come back and that's great with me! And they also took my bad review down on google.com.
Altogether in one week I paid approx $700 for both of the dog's visits and I still haven't taken my 7.4 dog to another vet yet but he is going soon! I took the baby in to a new doctor and he had an ear infection and he got meds but Cross Creek never looked for an infection under the microscope. And this vet said nothing was wrong with his big belly at all and she has been a vet for 25 years and seen lots of big bellys. She did do a fecal and found no parasites.
Watch out for Cross Creek, a lot of money for nothing and they treated me horrible, not just one but a few of them.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

It's unfortunate to hear about your experience. We take feedback seriously and aim to provide the best services possible to all of our furry family members. However, after careful consideration, we've decided to part ways. We wish you the best in finding a practice that better suits your needs.

Always had good experiences until I brought my dog in for a nail trim. They denied all responsibility and said it was due to her walking on concrete after her nail trim. They basically cut her nail in half severing the quick. Do not let the tech named Samantha near your dog!

I can't thank Dr.Small and the staff enough for the outstanding compassion and care they showed to our "Baby Girl "Jemma .We came to the office from out of state and Jemma was in later years of life. They loved and care for her only in a short period of time but it felt like they knew her forever. They helped us say goodbye and Dr.Small held her paw until the end.Thank you and there is no other place I will bring my next one when the time comes.

I only provided the one star because it's mandatory. This is the utmost unprofessional staff we've ever encountered. Our 18 year old senior shih tzu required shots in order to visit Cross Creek's grooming facilities who specialized grooming older dogs with anxieties. On Dec 12th, my fiance took the dog in on my behalf to acquire these shots. A tech by the name of Lauren came out and tried to take the dog to the back room, without him. He quickly let her know that he didn't feel comfortable--he wanted to be present while the dog was serviced. She stormed off in a huff whilst telling him she needed to get a room ready and then proceeded to make him wait an abnormal amount of time. After awhile, he had no choice but to check in with the receptionist who actually had to leave her station to get a room ready.
Once they were in the room, Lauren was assisting another tech, Sidney who was providing the shot. The dog was to receive the shot in his shoulder. He is a snippy dog, but he's 18 and fragile, so my fiance wanted to hold him under control while the shot was administered. Lauren proceeds to take out a muzzle, which my fiance promptly told her he didn't want her to use. He said that he would control the dog; there was no need for her to go by his face; the shot was being administered from behind. Well, Lauren takes it upon herself to manhandle our dog and try to FORCE the muzzle on our poor dog's face, and that's when my fiance grabbed her arm and says "No! I told you not to muzzle him!" She proceeds to scream and cause a scene and tell him not to touch her. She claims he assaulted her when he was merely stopping her from assaulting our dog. Now, she has a police report drummed up, and we've received notice from Cross Creek via a letter that we are to seek veterinary services elsewhere.
Here's the problem: my fiance immediately spoke to the office manager, Dawn, who stated that Lauren was WRONG to try to force the muzzle on the dog. The proper action would have been for her to exit the room and find another tech if she did not want to service an unmuzzled dog. Instead, she took it upon herself to go against client's wishes and manhandle an 18 year old dog. The office manager asked my fiance if he still wanted the shot and he said yes. Sidney, the tech providing the shot, was able to administer the shot with no issue. She offered to do it on his hind side, which could've avoided this ENTIRE altercation had that been suggested from the beginning. So I find it rather disturbing that Dr. Shannon Poole would send US a letter telling us our services were terminated without further investigating the incident. We will be fighting whatever charges Lauren filed and reporting these unprofessional people to the Veterinary Medical Board of NC.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Ericka P.Gold Hill, NC79211Jun 12, 2023

The staff there is so helpful and caring. They treated my puppy so good. They also gave me so many tips and advice on how to handle my puppy. This is my first puppy so I had a lot of questions. They were patient and supportive.

My kitty had a cold and I am new-ish to this area, so I had yet to establish care at any vets office. What I didn't realize was that it would be near impossible to get in anywhere due to the shortage of staff on a nation wide level. These guys came through for my Nugget and I loved the staff as well as the doctor. Yall get a 5 star from me, thank you for all that you do!

Thank you all so much for being so kind and patient when I lost my baby girl. Dr. Short was so pleasant during the hardest day of my life. I would trust her with my babies everyday if needed. Thank you all for doing everything you could.
