Review only for wings - I havent tried the other menu items.
Hands down best wing spot in the city. We were looking for the tastiest, crispiest, most flavorful wings to order for our super bowl party this year. We ended up ordering Badabing wings, Jake melnicks, aberdeen, and even great seas - crisp beat them all out.
The wings are perfectly saturated with the delicious flavors (hot bbq, and hot buffalo is the way to go). There is a ton of meat on the bone, they travel well, reheat perfectly (broil).... but the best part... THEIR BLUE CHEESE HAS REAL CHUNKS OF BLUE CHEESE.
Needless to say it was a hit at the party. The staff (shoutout to Jesse) is super nice, organized, and provide a great experience. Will be back again, and again, and again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Nate C.Kansas City, MO034Mar 10, 2024
Walked away full ... but not satisfied. Chicken Burrito left a lot to be desired...it is not the same chicken/coating that they seem to use for their wings.
The wings are Diamond (like my rank in league ). Come here for the wings, not anything else.
They had an anime show on TV tho...very niceHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 5, 2024
We loved Crisp! It's very affordable for the large portions you're given, and it's well-located not too far from a L stop. My biggest complaint really is that there isn't a ton of seating inside, so you may have to wait if you have a group and want to eat in the restaurant. I felt like there was opportunity for patio tables on the street, but I also went in the middle of December so I understand why they might not want to put tables out there in the cold.
The chicken is pretty tender and the sauce is great. I kind of wish there was an intermediate heat level; it seems like they only had mild or hot.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 5, 2024
A friend recommended Crisp a while back when we first moved here but it took us a while to finally pay a visit. We were craving wings and from what I knew, this would be the place to visit. We ordered a set of the wings, half spicy buffalo and half Seoul Sassy. These wing were so juicy, crisp and saucy and some of the best Korean fried chicken I've had in a while. We also got a Seoul Sensation Steak Burrito which was just ok in my opinion. The meat was really well marinated but the rest of the burrito lacked a little. It could have been an off night or the wings could have just overshadowed it that much. I also ordered a side of the people's choice bon chon to up my veggie game and they were all delicious. It was so much food I didn't think I'd finish but I somehow did!
Service was quick, friendly and helpful though the space for sitting inside is a little small. We can't wait to go back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 14, 2024Updated review
Crisp's sauces and flavor combos for bowls and sandwiches are still top-notch, but from my experience the quality of the chicken has gone down. Lately it has been quite dry and tough, especially when ordering the tenders. As such, I love this spot but will probably try different protein options with the sassy Seoul sauce!
I also ordered fries with their "extra crispy" option, and they were not crispy lol. They weren't soggy from the moisture of take out or anything, but the cooking of them were obviously not changed for the crispy option. I understand that may not be feasible with many orders being filled, but it seems silly to offer that option then.
Service is still great, regardless!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Oct 30, 2022Previous reviewSo. Much. Yum.
Came here based on the recommendation of friends, and Crisp did not disappoint!!
It is counter service, but very efficient and helpful!
We ordered the foodies choice sandwich with sassy Seoul sauce. The sassy Seoul sauce is so good!! Sweet and tangy and just everything I'm looking for with chicken. The foodies choice sandwich was also super impressive - The addition of salty bacon and dry blue cheese paired with the sauce and juicy chicken SO perfectly.
I will 100% be back to try a bowl and a burrito - Everything looked amazing!! - Mar 24, 2024Updated review
Still as good as ever! Spicy bbq flavor is the best. The chicken holds up well even after a couple of days in the fridge.
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jun 11, 2023Previous reviewSeriously good chicken. Skin stays crispy underneath all that sauce, and that sauce is AMAZING. May not be the cheapest chicken, but it's worth every dollar. Don't eat in; there's not much space inside, and it's too hectic. The chicken will stay crispy until you get home so don't worry. Order ahead to skip the line.

This place rocks. Super small so lots of takeout here. We were able to get a table which was big since chicken doesn't travel well imo.
Got the wings (Seoul sassy and bbq). Entire wing so it was messy but tasted pretty good. Nice crisp and amount of meat. BBQ flavor clears the sassy sauce.
Also, we got the drumsticks. Much easier to eat than the wings and these were massive. Ended up eating two wings and two drumsticks before calling it a night.
Ended up eating the Seoul steak bowl the next day. Insane amount of food (container shocked me when I initially lifted it). Bulgogi had a sweet marinade that gave lots of flavor. Rice soaked up the sauce and the green onions gave a little crunch. Finally, the atomic sauce was super tasty with a little bit of a kick.
Ultimate value spot. Great food and lots of it.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jan 24, 2024
I visited this restaurant after watching a video from Mike Chen. It looked really good so I decided to tried it out.
Not much to comment on the service because you just ordered the food at the counter and picked it up when it's ready. The restaurant is smallish so not much seating. It was a little noisy when I got there (either because it was crowded or the building just doesn't handle sounds well).
I liked the breading and the crunch of the fried chicken. At first I thought the sauce on the chicken was pretty good but then the more I ate it, the more it felt too salty so I didn't like it much anymore.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 13, 2024Updated review
It's been 15 years since I reviewed this place and I only gave it 3 stars. That blows my mind because we go here now constantly and it's an easy 5 stars. We love it. Our typical order is mixed boneless wings (sassy and bbq), steak burrito, and fried mushrooms.
A couple oddities and things to be aware of. If you're getting takeout, I'd just go ahead and get the pint of Allison's Atomic sauce because they don't give you hardly enough in your order and you're going to want a lot more. But it is like $12. Seems like an odd thing to need more of since it's such a critical part of the experience. It's like not getting any salsa at a taco place and needing to spend 12 just on that.
Also it's an awkward place to do carry out too. There's often a single line and a single person taking orders. It doesn't feel like you're supposed to go up to the counter to get your order or anyone to even tell that you're there for a pickup. Sure wish they had some signage of a place to go for "pickup" instead of "order"
And it's not a huge place for the business it gets. You could struggle to get a seat without needing to sit elbow to elbow with a stranger. We just get takeout.
But gripes aside this place is amazing. I'm so proud of how great it is and the business it does. It's often packed. One of this families favorite joints.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0May 18, 2008Previous reviewI've been here twice and I'll probably go back, but I'm not in love yet with the things I've gotten. They try and have a pretty traditional bulgogi and rice dish, and some other things made with bulgogi (e.g. a burrito) but I haven't fallen in love with any of it, and I heart bulgogi. It's not bad, just not something too exciting.
Maybe I'll try the fried chicken next. - Dec 7, 2023Updated review
Just good juicy chicken. So good I'm back again even though I don't even live here.
Our take out order took less than 10 minutes for 10 wings. 20ish aint bad and it can almost fill up 3 people so it's a pretty friggen good deal all things considered.
Sassy sauce: Get!
Compared to the crisp bbq this one was better in our opinion. Perfect amount of flavor, tanginess, and savoriness.
Onion rings: Get
Also great as it was amazingly... CRISPY. They put a good bunch in the bag too.
It's always just a good pick me up if you're craving solid wings. Again, the only bad thing about this is that it's for sure not that healthy.... but it's so worth lol.
