Service was great and food was awesome!!! We will definitely go again!! Ribs fell off the bone and brisket was moist and delicious.

Nancy R.Smithfield, NC198Jul 30, 2023First time visit. Great chopped pork BBQ. Very smoky. Also enjoyed the yummy sides we tried...baked beans, French fries and fried okra. Since the AC was not working that day, we changed our order to take-out. Our server was apologetic and accommodating.

The barbecue is delicious, the portions large enough for take home meals, the staff members are friendly and the booths are comfortable. Ensure that you note their open hours so that you are not geared up for barbecue and arrive on one of the days that they are closed.

Really good BBQ. The place is interesting, it's inside a building that looks to have almost burned down. I like what they have done with it. It's got some character. Nice atmosphere.
The BBQ is excellent. Not fatty. No gristle. Nice smoke ring. Good smoke flavor. Moist. Perfectly cooked. That's good enough for me right there. Good sized servings...
I had Brunswick stew and baked beans with my pulled pork. Bothe were just fine.
The iced tea was great. Gotta have good tea with BBQ.
We shop at Publix nearby and I have to admit that the smell of that BBQ hits you in the parking lot of Publix... it's almost irresistible.

I stepped out of my car a quarter of a mile away and realized that I "needed" to go taste the BBQ that I smelled.... Grocery shopping was postponed and we got back in the car.
I really like meat that has a good smoke flavor. Out behind the restaurant there is a large smoker with a lot of Pecan and Hickory logs being chopped and burned. They smoke overnight to give their meats a really nice red smoke ring. If that appeals to you then this is a good place to try.
I had the brisket sandwich and as I expected, the meat with no sauce was smoked to perfection. They have several sauces as expected and I preferred the sweet sauce that our waitress brought out in a bowl. Their Carolina sauce has too much vinegar for me.
The hash was unique. Excellent flavor. Not typical. Really good though. You should try it.
My wife ordered a small salad which was big enough that she shared it with me, It was made with fresh ingredients, and was a perfectly fine salad...
They brought out three large slices of Texas toast for us.
The waitress was very friendly and helpful. The menu said that the sandwich came with fries... that would be a waste given the hash that I was allowed to exchange for.
The owner stopped by and checked on us. We got into a great discussion of how to properly smoke brisket and it was apparent that he knew what he was doing. I smoke on my Green Egg on occasion and may succeed with brisket now that he has explained a few things...

Great food and awesome service. I love coming here and we keep coming back. It has a wonderful dining area that makes you feel like home. Magnificent ambiance throughout! You really don't know what you're missing until you try it. Five stars for sure and we'll deserved.

About a week before our friend's 90th birthday party, we ordered 5 lbs of barbequed pork to be picked up on the day of the party. We get to the restaurant at the appointed date and time, and they tell us that they must have lost the order and that they had no pork barbecue. Sorry, they said!
