Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Well now really, how can one go wrong with an open-faced roast beef sandwich and a side of mashed potatoes, plus coleslaw at Cracker Barrel?

The answer is: one can't.

Quick and friendly service. Super comfort food. I can count one one hand the number of times I've been here in the past ten years, but every single time has been delightfully amazing. (Not this particular Cracker Barrel, but others). This store was particularly friendly.

There were five of us and we came here for lunch on a Saturday. Like any Cracker Barrel, it was crowded, especially on the weekends. However, we were seated relatively quickly.

Our waitress got our drink orders wrong three times. We only had sodas and water.

We had to ask for part of our order after she thought she had given us everything.

We tried to get help from another server when our waitress was gone a long time, but she just looked at us and walked away.

I recommend getting gas station sushi before eating here.

Consistently good food and service m. Sheena greeted us with a warm smile and a ton of. Customer Service extraordinaire! Always love the decor and ambiance of Cracker Barrel. .

Ate here today as we traveled back home. The food was as expected and our waitress was excellent. The hostess is the reason for my lowered rating. First impressions gave off an "I do want to be here vibe". She never looked up or otherwise acknowledged us. The lady that sat us was pleasant, but the hostess needs to be coached on how to greet customers.

Sitting here now. A 20 minute wait for drinks. Could really use my cup of coffee! Food still not out. Yes, it's a Sunday and I expect and accept a bit of a wait but we are practically being ignored. Floor needs to be swept clean. Silverware (3 spoons) and a glass have remnants of food! Disgusting!
One HOUR to get a hamburger and bacon and eggs! Manager completely useless - said she would "talk" to the dishwasher about the dirty items.
Food is far below sub par. Honestly,
I realize there are very few choices in the area, but avoid this Cracker Barrel at all costs!
Our server was very nice and apologetic, but a sidenote to the manager. Please make sure your staff have clean aprons available, because it certainly not appetizing looking at food splattered all over the servers.

Food quality has declined at this location. The biscuits were old, cold and burned on the bottom. All three entrees were served cold and lacked seasoning and taste.

Service was good.

Cracker Barrel in general is way overrated! We stopped at the Roanoke Rapids NC Cracker Barrel CB0081 on our way back south and we are sorry we did. Absolutely god awful service and the food was sub par. We placed our order and when it came out my wife's order was wrong and the runner wanted to tell her that's what she ordered. We also asked for silverware from one of the useless employees who said she would get us some. She blew us off and never returned. Now my meal was COLD. I have to say I have NEVER had a hot breakfast at a Cracker Barrel while traveling. Why is that potato casserole always tepid? Most likely under state required holding temperature. I sent my meal back (which I never do) and it came back colder. So basically I paid $10 for three pieces of bacon and toast. What a waste of valuable travel time and money.

Took about 30 mins to get drinks, about 45 for my kids to get the cereal they ordered, they were sold out of just about everything and didn't even tell us until they brought out the cereal for the kids.took almost a hour to get our food just to tell us they were out of meatloaf and only brought the sides. It took over a hour to get one of my sides I was missing. So many people sat down and left while waiting to be served. 4 people also sat down after us and got food before us. Another table were sitting for 30 minutes before someone even asked for their drink order.

It's a Cracker Barrel breakfast weekend:-). Out for a drive on 95 and just had to get another dose of BR country breakfast.

The biscuit recipe must have changed. No longer oily or greasy and dry. Reminds me of a hearty dinner rolls. Goes well with the sausage gravy.

The country fried steak is just that... Country Fried steak. Perfect with grits, eggs over medium, fried apples, and coffee to wash it all down.

Service was fast and staff are attentive.

Let me start by asking when did Cracker Barrel start selling mimosas? Lol and yes I did get one! The watermelon mimosa to be exact and it was good. I also ordered a steak (medium) with scrambled eggs with cheese (they forgot to add my cheese) with fried apples! Everything was delicious and the steak was really flavorful and seasoned well.

Ordered my food from DoorDash and got it. Opened the bag and was missing the hash brown casserole, the fried apples, biscuits and gravy and the sweet tea I ordered as part of my country boy breakfast. Instead, I got ham eggs and grits. Missing half my meal. Called the store and the phone rang and kept putting me back to the welcome message for 17 minutes. Not a single person answered.
ABSOLUTELY GARBAGE SERVICE!

This store was since a great place to eat and was always in point with the customer service. Now we can't get our complete order, and can't even get someone to answer the phone.
