How long did this person work washing dishes as I was told today, to get this filthy? I asked the manager how did this happen to come in the door to work like this today. It was only breakfast hours. Did he stay overnight? Not a good management observation for staff in the food industry. I actually chose that location over the other two in the city. Won't be back

Cracker Barrel in Lakeland.
Today 4:30. Server was sweet, but the food was awful.
Country Fried steak, I ask for gravy on the side, it was smeared all over and both were cold. Mashed potatoes cold, okra cold. The ladies next to us sent their bread plates back because they were dirty. What a mistake to go there today.

This was worse Cracker Barrel. Slow slow slow then when we finally got our food it wasn't even hot. I'll not be returning any time soon!

It pains me to write this review because I've been a Cracker Barrel fan my entire life.
We arrived and waited about 15 minutes to be seated. Not a big deal and the host was extremely pleasant and friendly.
After being seated, it was another 15-20 minutes before a waiter (Jesse) stopped by and asked if anyone had helped us yet. He then proceeded to take our order. A few minutes later he brought us a basketful of burned, crispy biscuits and butter (no silverware or napkins).
I asked the manager to replace the biscuits, which she said she would do, and she did, 35 minutes later after 4 other tables got baskets of biscuits. She even brought jam! No silverware though, so I was left having to squeeze the jam from the little plastic cups onto the biscuits for the kids.
After an hour, our food arrived by a different server who said she was going to try to help out since Jesse was new. My son's was wrong, having the incorrect side. Mine, the eggs were overcooked (supposed to be over easy, but the yolk was cooked mostly through), the eggs, sausage and hashbrown casserole were cold and the pancakes were covered in strawberries that I had asked not be served with them. I sent the pancakes back with a request for silverware and Tabasco and they returned quickly, cold, but at least without the strawberries. We finally got silverware! No napkins though, they didn't bring those until after we finished our meals.
I waited another 10 minutes before the waitress came by and I requested my Tabasco again so I could eat my cold, overcooked meal. I also sent back the pancakes. Again. The waitress apologized, said she was taking my meal off the check and returned the pancakes to the kitchen and brought me the Tabasco.
While waiting for my pancakes, Jesse brought the check. With the meal on it that they were going to remove. I still hadn't even got the full meal prepared correctly yet but they were handing me a check for it. When my pancakes did arrive, after everyone was done eating, they were hot and tasty and made correctly, as they should have been 30-40 minutes earlier. I never got the syrup I had asked for with them, but at this point, I just wanted to eat them and leave. We had to ask the manager about the meal on the check, which she did remove, as well as the kids' drinks as well.
The table next to us (also being served by Jesse) was having issues with their meals and the service. The tables near us being served by others didn't seem to have any issues or complaints and their food was served much quicker than ours or Jesse's other table next to us.
When we paid at the counter in the store, we were asked how things were. I told them. They asked who our server was and I said it was Jesse. They nodded and said "ah, yeah, Jesse".Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I ordered food from Cracker Barrel restaurant on two separate occasions. I didn't receive all my roast beef each time, plus they issue small portions of food for the price. I paid $20 for my meal but didn't receive all my roast beef. The food tasted OK, but it's not worth the price. The fried apples were good. However, I had to spit the apple skin out ,not tasty. It will be a while before I order from Cracker Barrel again.

Service was ok but waitress kept coming back saying they were out of things.... She put scrambled eggs on a child plate even though I asked to NOT have egg! They evidently ran out of fried apples between 2 kid plates and didn't even say so! Waitress came back and said they were out of carrots so I ordered pinto beans and turnip greens.... She brought turnip greens and said they were out of pinto beans.... Food took FOREVER to get to the table! This is my last time to go to Cracker Barrel. I had bad experiences but thought I would give them another chance with grandkids who love to pick out toys after we eat. I AM SOOOO DONE!

We were sat at a really dirty table. When the employee went to wipe all the food and trash off the table she did it where it all went on me. Then we sat down and nobody ever came to take our order. Not even our drinks. We sat there for almost 20 minutes while 5-6 different employees walked past. Not one spoke to us. Once we decided to leave I asked for the manager on the way out. She didn't seem too concerned about what happened. So it's no wonder this place operates the way it does. We were extremely disappointed. Especially with how little the manager cared. Such a waste of time.

We just flew into Memphis and before check-in at our hotel we decided to get something to eat. We decided to go to Cracker Barrel. We had a party of six I ordered the grandmas breakfast and my grandchildren got the children's menu, pancakes and sausage. My daughter she ordered the catfish fillets and my son got the big boy breakfast.
Our waitress was very nice and attentive but the food is just not the same! I don't know what has happened but every Cracker Barrel we've gone to the last few times has been many issues first of all burnt sausages, burnt pancakes. How do you burn pancakes? Also, forgotten items corn bread, biscuits, and also to come back and just check and see if we need more water or just see how we are doing. We are finished with Cracker Barrel. We've tried in Illinois now we've tried in Tennessee. Feb 23, 2023Previous reviewWorst service ever! We had a long drive ahead of us, so we stopped here for dinner. We've had previous experience at this location and had to leave before our meal was served due to a medical appointment. The manager was very nice about this, and provided a voucher for a free meal. This time, we arrived and were placed on the waitlist (although there were vacant tables) at 8:15 pm. The place wasn't crowded - it just seemed disorganized. At 8:35, we were seated and we ordered within a reasonable amount of time. People seated after we arrived were served and had eaten and left. At 9:00, we caught the attention of the manager and advised her we would like to leave since we had no food. She apologized and said she would check on our order. About 10 minutes later, out comes our meal. With errors. No gravy and cole slaw was warm, not just room temp, but very warm as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for 15-20 minutes. We ate hurriedly, as we needed to get back on the road. My dad insisted on a 25% tip, but I wouldn't have tipped anything for this lackadaisical service. Never eating here again!

Spent nearly two hours for marginally warm food and tons of excuses. Came in with a party of six which consisted of a four year old and a 12 month old, and immediately met with warm smiles and friendly greetings from the host staff and our waitress. However, our evening took a sour note when we asked our waitress about our food. She claimed they were shorthanded and disagreements with cooking staff. We requested the children's food be brought ahead of the adults as both the four year old and 12 month old were growing tired and super hungry. Our waitress stated the children's food was still being cooked and she would bring it out as soon as it was ready.
