This place is horrible... Took 2 hours to request referral and pick up lab form for bloodwork. Don't try to make an appt....you'll be waiting for weeks!! Other patients in the office also complained of incompetent staff and a non-caring doctor who seems to make up reasons for you get certain procedures....to get money$$$...they are not in the business of healthcare or saving lives. Im getting a new doctor. Please heed the warnings and go elsewhere.

I am utterly disappointed with my experience trying to reach Dr. Elizabeth Covington's Primary Care office. Despite numerous attempts, the phone line is perpetually busy, or worse, no one bothers to answer. This continuous lack of accessibility is not only frustrating but also concerning for a medical practice where communication can be critical.
The situation doesn't improve when the office is closed or during their lunch hours. The answering service that's supposed to handle calls during these times is horrendous. It often sounds as if the employees are multitasking, driving, or running errands, which is incredibly unprofessional and does not instill confidence in their ability to relay important messages or schedule urgent appointments.
Moreover, the address listed for Dr. Covington's office on Google is incorrect. This led to a confusing and time-consuming ordeal trying to locate the office, only to end up lost and frustrated. For new patients or those in urgent need, this can be particularly distressing.
Adding to the list of grievances is the near impossibility of obtaining medical records. Such documents are crucial for a patient's health management, and the inability to access them due to the office's inefficiencies is unacceptable.
Overall, the experience with Dr. Elizabeth Covington's office has been incredibly disheartening. The lack of basic communication and organization significantly undermines the trust and reliability one expects from a medical provider. I hope this feedback prompts some much-needed improvements in their administrative processes.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Adela C.Los Angeles, CA01623Jun 30, 2023
Im currently 4 months pregnant; it's been a difficult pregnancy and not once have I seen right or referred right by her team. They at first had referred me to a Dr.Norma Salcedo as my OBGYN. She had told me that my pregnancy was a failed pregnancy and that I'd have to have an induced abortion and sent me to a hospital.
I'm there at the hospital and they tell me that I have to change OBGYN; reason being is that I'm pregnant and that everything looks fine.
I speak and tell my concerns to my primary care Dr. Covington regarding my OBGYN. They tell me that in order for me to get referred I'd have to personally contact my medical and insurance and see who I'd be eligible to see.
I do just that, set up an appointment and go through the whole struggle and process of this.
Wait a whole month to be seen appropriately.
Only for my new OBGYN TO TELL ME THEY CANT SEE ME !!! Why ??? Reason being they never got a request or referral letter from my primary care Dr.
I've been calling since 10/11am and no answer.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Aug 14, 2018
This office is fantastic. Dr. Covington is so caring and kind. She really listens and takes her patients health seriously. The staff is wonderful and works hard to get the best medications for their patients. We are lucky to have Dr. Covington and her wonderful nurses and admin. Shout out to Tyra, Daija, Gwen and Wendy!

If I could give her 0 or negatives, I WOULD, with NO hesitation. This lady crossed boundaries, gave bogus information, and humiliated me. For the sake of your sanity, DO NO go to Dr. Covington. I left that appointment feeling embarrassed, crazy, and mortified. I waited 2 weeks for this appointment because I was looking for a primary care doctor. It didn't help that I had just been in a car accident and was in excruciating pain. I was crying during the appointment because of the amount of pain I was in, and she was more concerned with my tattoos and body piercings. She was making assumptions about my personal life and discussing getting blood work drawn and a pelvic exam which is not why I was there. I was there for headaches and physical pain from a car accident I was in. Save yourself the trouble. Don't GO HERE.

This woman should not be allowed to provide medical care to a rock. She is callous, cold unprofessional and does not care one bit about anyone's health. Why she even chose this profession is beyond thought of reason ad she displays no sense of understanding the OATH of a DOCTOR SHE TOOK! Under her care, my grandmothers health ditoriated so rapidly before we know it.she was in chronic kidney failure, immediately into dialysis and we lost her. I will never forget the call from HER telling us we needed to get my grandmother to emergency. .she was just able to get to her test results!
GET AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS WOMAN ASAP! YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 1 - Adriana R.Los Angeles, CA169194Dec 21, 2016
Incompetent doctor and staff. The doctor will try to get you to come in for no reason and also charges too much for services that are supposed to be completely covered under HMOs. If you refuse to pay $35 for a TB test (real example) she'll direct you to a free clinic.

Horrible attitude. So rude! Made me get a physical when I came in when I had a cold, lectured me because my roommates smoke, and as a result, ordered an x-ray to show me my lungs. She ordered blood work for no reason, which I ended up being charged for. I will never go back to her. Don't waste your time or money!

I was contacted by Dr. Covington's office because she took over the patients of my former Doctor. Months later I called to make an appointment, but no one answered the phone. I left a message stating who my former doctor was and that I would like to schedule an appointment. No one ever called me back. A few weeks later I called again and said I wanted to schedule an appointment. I was put on hold and then the lady on the other end tells me that the person who does the scheduling for my former doctor's patients is on the other phone. She takes my contact information and says the scheduler would call me back. 6 hours pass and I don't receive a phone call so I call back AGAIN. I was then told that all I had to do was come to the office Monday through Friday between certain times to fill out paperwork and to bring my medical records and they would more than likely be able to schedule a same day appointment.
I was irritated that this wasn't told to me the first time I spoke with someone, but I decided to go in the very next day since I had the day off from work. I get there fill out my paperwork on an old electronic "notepad" that resembled an old school See N Say toy that had a very temperamental touchscreen. After I'm finished the girl at the front desk says the soonest available appointment is nearly 2 months away because Dr. Covington is "highly demanded."
I explain my situation and what I was told on the phone by someone, but all the front desk girl could reply was the same tired line, "Dr. Covington is highly demanded."
I ultimately walked out with nothing since I had wasted and hour of my time driving down there for what I thought was going to by my appointment to see a doctor. Honestly, who has drop in hours to fill out paperwork? EVERY doctor that I have ever been to has the patient come in 15-30 minutes BEFORE the appointment to fill out the paperwork.
Unless I am DESPERATE and have no other choice, I will NEVER be visiting this facility again. An hour there, an hour back home and gas wasted all because of INCOMPETENT office staff. What a waste!Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Karen W.Lakewood, CA28101Feb 19, 2015
If I could give this MD negative stars I would. I fell in Nov with a injury to my ankle. I was out on disability for the fall. I came to visit her today to get my disability extended. I brought my MRI, xrays, diagnosis from the orthopedic surgeon and she would not extend my disability. I was even in a brace. Besides keeping me waiting almost 30min when the office was empty, she spent the majority of the time telling me how overweight I was and that I needed a trainer. So how do you suppose I can afford a trainer when I am on disability and how am I suppose to work out when I can barely walk. And on top of that she took my 100$ for nothing. Horrible, old lady.

I scheduled an appointment with Dr Convington to get a prescription allergy medicine.
She never wrote the prescription. Instead she demanded that I get a pelvic exam, pap and blood work. I told her I didn't need any of that since I have a regular OBGYN. She insisted so I agreed to just the blood work.
After my visit, I left her office with a huge bruise on my arm from her nurse that couldn't find a vein if her life depended on it and NO ALLERGY MEDICINE.
To make it worse, a month later I received a bill for $240 for the blood work that I really didn't need!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
