Wine is great and their member events are super fun. They used to have a big kids play area which was honestly one of the biggest draws for us since we have a toddler. They renovated and luckily still have a kids area but took out some of the bigger toys which was kinda sad.

Hi Lena - thank you for the review! We appreciate you. So sorry we couldn't fit the larger items in the renovation, but we're happy to still have an area for the kids. Please let us know if there is anything we can pass along to the team to improve our rating to 5 stars. We appreciate any feedback! Hope to see you again soon.

Great range of wines that'll please everyone. My friend and I visited Covington Cellars and had a nice time here. Located in the north industrial area of Woodinville, it's easy to spot with its large tent, that had a handful of tables and was busier than other tasting rooms nearby.
We made a reservation via e-mail, which the staff responded soon after, indicating that they were dog-friendly. Specifically, if you come here as a passport holder, they have specific hours for passport holders, so recommendations are strongly recommended if you have the passport. After checking in, we were provided a passport tasting menu, so I assume that differs from other tasting menus they may have. Either way, I enjoyed what they offered on the passport tasting menu.
We tried four wines, starting with a rose and three reds. The rose was nice, and liked that it wasn't too sweet. It had a nice balance of dry and fruity. The reds were good, but my favorite was the cab franc. It was very bold, savory and robust, which is how I like my wines. I highly recommend trying the cab franc here!
Staff checked in with us, to make sure our glass wasn't empty for too long. They have two adorable dogs who hang out with guests, which I loved! Overall, we had a nice time here and is worth a visit if in the area.

My daughter and I had the privilege of visiting this winery on Friday and we came away very pleased with the quality and the depth the winery has in their choice of whites. The two servers Annika and Jarad were personable and prepared. We asked many questions about the wine making process and both person's responses were accurate and showed their collective knowledge. I hope the owners know how important the server is when presenting the wine selection. Both Annika and Jarad were certified wine baristas. We will come back

One of my favorite wineries in Woodinville! The staff is very nice, and very informative. Loved all of the wines we tried. I highly recommend signing up for a tour. Wonderful experience!
On the tour we learned a lot and got to try 6 wines. The chardonnay was my favorite.
They have a few very sweet dogs roaming around too :) always a bonus!

Dog friendly, which is great. They also have dogs there themselves which is nice.
They honored the Wine Pass, which is good and didn't treat Pass holders any different than any other customers.
They also partnered with a BBQ food truck that was onsite and who made great BBQ that paired well with the wines. Highly recommend it!
The wines were very good, and a good value too. Our favorite was the Sangiovese, but their Red Blend, Cab Franc and Rose were also great. The vinter is a Navy man and it's nice to support our vets. All in all this place was amazing. Will be back.

We stopped by with the Woodinville 2018 Passport my wife bought for me last Christmas. It's now November and today is the first time we've been able to actually get out and use it.
We were greeted with a notice that on July 28 Covington thought it necessary to change their offering for the program to a required 90 minute, pre-reserved tour. We pointed out briefly to the staff that we have two kids and it was tough enough to get babysitting - there was simply no way we could commit to focusing so much of our energy on their apparently very special winery. The attendant advised us that perhaps their winery was "not a good fit" and advised us to go elsewhere.
I get that not every marketing program produces the conversion rate desired, but changing mid year is what's referred to as a "bait and switch" in sales parlance. The right way to handle this is to suck it up for a year and change the program (or eliminate it) for 2019.
Thankfully there are many other wonderful Woodinville wineries who are willing to honor their commitments. Alas, it's now time for us to return to our children where we shall do our best to teach them how not to be so pretentious.

I was going to be in Seattle visiting a friend and bought a TravelZoo deal for the cellar tour and tasting/food pairing. After purchasing, I went online to make my reservation for the weekend I was going to be in town, and they were already fully booked. I called, and Julianna was so unbelievably helpful and understanding that I was only in town this one weekend. She fit us into the schedule for the 4:30pm tour.... thanks again Julianna!
As we were driving up we were actually a little nervous, as the place looked like a strip mall of wineries. Not necessarily what we were looking for.... but once we were inside it was quite different. NOT what I pictured based on the outside of the building. Soft lighting, great decor -- perfect atmosphere.
The tour was given by the husband of the married couple who own Covington, and he is hilarious! Best tour given by a beer guy ever. After the tour they sat us down for the various wine tastings, and paired each wine with a small plate. Food was stellar (kudos to the chef), and the portions were way bigger than I was anticipating based on the price I paid and the description of the tour.
I know there are several wineries in Woodinville, WA, but I would highly recommend Covington Cellars! Thanks guys!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Angela P.Manhattan, NY3082525Jan 13, 2014
Covington Cellars will always hold a special place in my heart January 2011, my boyfriend and I were doing a wine tour/tasting there, we had such an amazing experience & loved learning/trying all the varietals the food choices were fabulous as well! My boyfriend ended up asking my hand in marriage while we were on our tasting! (It was spontaneous, romantic and fun exactly what we are as a couple, he didn't even have the ring yet he did treat me to breakfast/ring at Tiffany's at UVillage the next day though!) We LOVE that fact that Covington Cellars has bottling parties, although we have yet to participate in one we love the thought (we reside in NYC now but eventually will be back to PNW)
I can't wait to venture back to WA and experience more of what this winery has to offer & pick up several more bottles!!

As a part of our Barrel Wine Tour afternoon, this was our first stop. Wines served by the winemaker and we were able to ask questions and interact. We were given a tour of the facility and enjoyed the wines we sampled. A quiet low-key start to our tour. The 2013 Rough House was a unanimous favorite.
