If I were not coming back home with bedbug bites, I would have given them four stars, but apparently their cleanliness is very questionable -- though you can't tell from the appearance.
It was my mistake to put up with the brown stains on the white blanket (on a side of the blanket that's not visible). I didn't say a word. I thought, "it's OK, I'll cover the blanket with clean sheets." I tried to be an easy customer and not to complain, but that was a sign. That alone should have warned me that the hotel is not very clean.
The last night of my stay there, I woke up with itchy hands and feet. I turned on the lights and searched for the cause of my discomfort in the bed, but I didn't see anything. I tried to sleep, without thinking about bad things.
When I woke up the next morning, I had several bug bites on my hands and feet and all my body was very itchy. I did leave the hotel that day and didn't say anything to the hotel staff. My mistake!
I am back home and I have been miserable. The itchiness is killing me. I showed them to an expert and it's confirmed that they are bedbug bites.
I decided to write here for the sake of future customers. I hope the hotel staff will take care of this matter.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 4107202Jan 11, 2024
Front desk staff was very friendly with me, even tough i checked in late, 10pm.
The room was extremely clean, well kept and smelled fresh. The shower had a strong stream of hot water and extra towels. The bed was really firm and soft.
The facility is very close to bars/restaurants around the corner. Even though it was nearby, there was no loud noise disturbing my sleep.
Breakfast was provided, not sure it was free, but I didn't have time to enjoy it - i'll try next time.
Def a spot to return to!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 20, 2023
I really enjoyed my stay here! We were in town for a wedding and wanted a hotel that was in a walkable area since we wouldn't have a car. It was perfect for that! There were cute shops, delicious restaurants, and museums in all directions.
We checked in on a Friday night and the manager was WONDERFUL. She gave us a map and talked through different places to go and some transportation options.
The room was spacious and clean.
The bistro downstairs was a little slow with a limited selection.
We didn't drive but did notice that valet is available.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Lloyd J.Madeira Beach, FL014Aug 15, 2023
Valet ($25 mandatory per night and told it was 24/7) couldn't find my car late at night when I just needed to grab something out of it. A loud noise in my room that couldn't be identified by me or Peter the receptionist. Peter then asked me "what the fuck is it you want me to do?" In frustration so I literally left at 3am and drove an hour home... after they found my car, of course.
I'm high status with Marriott but after this stay, I will moving to another brand.
Avoid this Marriott.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Antoinette A.Somerville, NJ11528Nov 29, 2023

The hotel lobby is beautiful. They have reappointed and old hotel, added some modern touches and left some of its originality still there. It still has the same elevator, staircase, original marble everywhere which is stunning. I love how so many places in Saint Pete's have preserved their history. It makes the downtown so lovely.
The gentleman at the front desk was nice and offered to carry my groceries up since the luggage cart had gone missing.
One thing travelers depend on is information about service to an airport and they lack in this area. Don't really know a lot about the shuttle services provided, the car services provided other than Uber or Lyft and if you decide to take another airport besides Tampa or Saint Pete they don't have a lot of information on that. I would expect for a downtown hotel with so many businesses in downtown Saint Petersburg, that they would have a bit more information.
The room was standard appointed and typical Marriott style, fairly clean. The views of the windows were pretty great of downtown. Couldn't see the water. from where I was.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Wendy A.Miami, FL189023199381Mar 5, 2021
We end up making reservations in this hotel just because of its location and the most important thing is that I felt safe coming to a Marriott hotel during Covid. I was not wrong when I made the decision of coming because everything was impeccable, everyone follows the Covid precautions, and the price was great.
The location of this hotel is wonderful we had many things around the hotel that we can go walking and even if it was by car it was also nearby, places like restaurants, cafés, museums, and more!
The room and the room view were wonderful and we had everything we need. The room was impeccable as we are used to with Marriott Hotels.
What I love about this hotel the most was how it was an old hotel that they renovated and restored creating this new one.
The elevator, the lobby, the stairs, the restaurant, and everything in this hotel were so cute. It was impeccable and all the Covid restrictions were there like people asking for social distancing, masks are required, and there are a few other things that they are not allowed to do like before because of Covid, like valet parking it's done the way they have to which is the safer way in which they drive your car and park if you want. So since I'm a little overwhelmed with Covid, I asked the valet parking guy if I could park by myself or somewhere else and he gave me the two ideas, either park on the street or go to a parking garage because I didn't want anyone to drive my car just because of Covid.
The service is here at the lobby or at the valet parking was always nice. The guys in the valet parking always used to open the door for us with a nice welcoming good morning or good evening. The ladies at the front desk were always attentive and answering our questions. If I come back to St. Petersburg this is the place where I will stay again!Helpful 13Thanks 0Love this 12Oh no 0 - May 16, 2021
Great location and reasonable rate. Walking distance within everything downtown. 7th floor room had minimal traffic noise, building has a not unpleasant urban hum. Full wall of windows and very effective black out drapes. Mini fridge but no microwave. Super comfortable bed. TV is bit small for being distant from the bed but there is a chair between the bed and TV. No street parking, valet is 18 bucks.

Why oh why can't I give 3.5 stars?! Kills me every time. *Anyway* *Moving on*
I stayed here for one night when in St. Petersburg for business. Largely, it was a nice accommodation. And, the staff were really friendly and go out of their way to help customers and ensure that customers are happy. I had arrived quite late in the evening and as street parking was limited I used the valet as encouraged by the person at the front desk. Perhaps it was the late hour but the valet guy wasn't outside and never appeared. I went back to the front desk to confirm that I was in the correct spot and the front desk person went on the hunt for the valet guy. After a bit of a search she suggested that I drive myself into the lot. No biggie. Perhaps, late night staffing is thinner. I can understand that. Either which way it all worked out.
The room lay out was smart and comfortable. Decor was relatively modern and updated. I was so tired! I had just flown into town and headed straight to the nearest Waffle House and loaded up on carbs and more carbs. I'm not afraid of carbs. Nope. The best thing about this hotel was that I had a great night's sleep. Seriously, great. The bed was really comfortable, it was clear that the mattress was a good quality. The linens too!
The bathroom could use a little love with a deep clean and fixing of quick, visibly obvious repairs.
Overall, I was very happy here. I bet that you will be too!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Cindy V.Rancho Cucamonga, CA06May 27, 2023
If you expect the BONVoY brand it's not here. location great. Beds uncomfortable to much noise from air conditioner and refrigerator.

Although it's not perfect folks but I'm giving it a 5 star rating because it is a historic building that has survived this year. But really it is a good hotel clean and close to the beach; best value around in my opinion.
There were some disappointments like no ice on my floor, but the guy in front desk went out of his way to go in the back and get me some ice. The back elevator was broken so it's a longer walk than usual. I need the exercise anyway
everyone is very nice. I enjoyed my morning conversation with the valet guy and learned so much of the area I never knew so I'll be back next month to visit some sites he suggested.
When I told a woman at front desk yesterday morning I forgot the bottom of my blender; she offered to blend it up for me at the back bar that's not being used.
A very nice place in a great location with gluten free and fresh farm to table places to eat nearby.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
