Corby's Tea Room

Below is the review I have posted on one consumer feedback website on this particular business this evening:


"I had to expose this cafe because although it is in a moderately pleasant location, they charged me £3.75 for 1 slice of toast with cheese on it.


When I ordered it I had no idea it was a merely one slice of bread. It's not very clear on the menu - perhaps because most of their clientele are elderly people who are vulnerable and too shy to complain. Not good at all, worrying, in fact."


I will probably continue going to Corby's because certain members of my family favour it at certain times of day because it is quiet. However, I have saved my 'review' and I will continue denouncing Corby's online until I see a change in their attitude towards customer in terms of portion size.


I urge you to do the seem. Their practices amount to extortion, and it is a shame that Corby's have not made themselves available on the internet for me to make my views known directly.


I have not told Corby's directly of my views because, to be frank, the staff are not especially friendly at the best of times, and I have to continue patronising the place with a stiff upper lip and a deceptive smile!
