Cooley Brothers Painting

I am updating my review with some pictures of the completed work. We are so thrilled with how this project came out.

In 2017 Cooley Brothers painted the interior of our house before we moved in. 7 years later, it looks almost as fresh now as it did then.
So...when we decided to have the exterior done, Cooley was an automatic choice. On a large, complicated job, Carlos and Nelson were an excellent, professional team, extremely reliable and good to work with.
So...we asked for the same team, Carlos and Nelson, to do the interior woodwork, which we not had done in 2017, and which required a lot of orep work becausewe were changing colors from mostly dark to white.

As we knew they would, Carlos and Nelson did great work! We are delighted with both the exterior and the interior woodwork jobs.

This is one of the times where Yelp ratings actually worked. We found Cooley brothers here back in 2015. Their work had a 2-year warranty, but it's been holding up very strong for 8 years already.

Originally, we did have a little hick-up though -- the painter in charge of our house was a little too enthusiastic, he didn't create painted area sample on our wall as promised, so that we could decide if we liked the color or not. He just went ahead and painted the entire house before we had a chance to review the color we chose from a tiny swatch. The house came out a shade or two lighter than we had hoped for.

But when we brought up this issue, I think it was David who showed up in person and tried to make everything right. That responsibility and care left us with a good impression. And with the exterior paint holding up for years, I can now fully recommend their service.

I had been looking for someone to paint my kitchen cabinets and reached out to Cooley Brothers. During this process, they stood out for their responsiveness, thoroughness, clear expertise, and overall great customer service. They answered every question in a timely manner and checked in with me periodically to confirm details while waiting for the project to begin.

The process of working with them during the project was also a very positive experience. Carlos led the team that handled the project, which also included Raul and Nelson. They were professional, responsive, personable, easy to work with, and obviously very skilled at their craft.

Updating my previous review with another 5 stars! We hired Cooley Brothers to help us with a small project after our flooring contractor installed some baseboards in a sloppy manor and damaged preexisting paint.

We hired Cooley Brothers do touch ups on all the door frames in the house where the carpet level was higher than the newly refinished wood floors and also paint the baseboards. We contacted Marco, our estimator, who we had previously worked with and he came out within 1 business day. He was on time, thorough, and pleasant and professional as always. He understood our concerns about blue painter's tape on the newly refinished floors and was very reassuring that there would be no damage. He also followed up after the project to make sure we were fully satisfied.

David was able to start a few days later and did a wonderful job! He asked questions, was respectful of our space (wore booties over his work shoes, put blankets and appropriate Frog tape down, cleaned up after himself), and was in and out in 2 days.

Like the last time we used Cooley Brothers, we were super impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail. We cannot recommend them enough.

We needed our fascia boards painted but more importantly we had boards that had rot and prior termite damage. Marco came out and was so easy to talk with. No pressure, just good ideas. The workmanship was amazing. Benjamin is a craftsman and Gabby is great, that smile lights up the day. We will definitely be recommending Cooley Brothers

I came across Cooley Brothers reviews on Yelp and Google and contacted them because of other five star reviews. David had a new assistant so there was some confusion with our first appointment time but he made up for it by staying longer and preparing a complete bid while we walked the house.

He and I are both very thorough and specific, which was both a challenge and a good fit. We outlined the proposal with everything down to the specific paint colors from his color cards.

His pricing was slightly higher than other bids but the professionalism and the attention to detail made me select Cooley Bros over two other contractors. I'm very glad I did. We were flexible with scheduling and, when their exterior jobs pushed off due to weather, they promptly started with a five man crew. They were mindful that we were inhabiting the house and just had some other work completed and worked around our schedules to be less disruptive. In one instance I had made a poor selection for a wall and their foreman pointed out it didn't contrast well after the first coat and offered to paint it with another color, at no additional charge.

The entire project they were cautious about loving pieces, taping and covering, and cleaning up after their work.

I have an older home with Plaster walls and their Level 3 preparation (a slightly higher cost) resulted in removing several blemishes and other problems with many walls. They also sanded and primed the bathroom, laundry, and kitchen with oil based primer and two coats semi gloss to ensure protection from imminent moisture.

I was very pleased with their work and have already requested quotes for additional paint projects and am referring them to several friends and colleagues. I will use their services again.

And I am very picky about my contractors!

I have nothing but the best to say about David Cooley and the team he sent to paint Lighthouse Community Church - Carlos led the team of 3 to paint our Gym and Coffeehouse (and we later added on our Conference room which they fit into their schedule so well for the increased scope) doing everything from removing, rearranging, and replacing all of the furniture and clutter we had in each room, working quickly and around our strange schedules to make sure the building could still operate (and finishing all the painting within 2 weeks), and keeping everything shockingly clean while doing so. David was attentive throughout the project as well, dropping by twice to check in on things and scope out the scope increase when we decided we wanted to add another room into the project.

Carlos, Franco, and Raul were all extremely friendly and professional and bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect! As you can see in the pictures, they're extremely meticulous and paid attention to all of the finest details that I wouldn't have even noticed.

We've used Cooley Brothers for a few projects before this as well and the paint job has held up extremely well.

I would HIGHLY recommend anyone to use them and commend the work of Carlos and his team!

Cooley Brothers came through again at another one of my properties. Benjamin and Gerardo did a excellent job with the painting and wood repairs. I look forward to using them again for my next project!

David Cooley carefully explained the details of his proposal for painting the exterior of our house, including the necessary repairs/replacement of some of the fascia boards. We were extremely pleased with the quality of the work that was completed on time, at the price that was quoted in the proposal. The site supervisor, Benjamin, was professional and skilled in all aspects of the job, and it was a pleasure to work with him. He kept me informed of the plan for each day's work, and was very accommodating in applying the various paint samples to the walls and trim to help us finalize our decision in choosing the paint colors.
