Cooksey's Southern Cafe

I have to say the staff was very friendly! Hands down very professional and friendly. However we were very disappointed in the food. The fried catfish and burger had a very bland taste and I just didnt expect that from a "southern" style type of restaurant. I expected a little more seasoning to be in the mix of the food.

That may or may not have been for unknown reasons. However this is the only reason I am rating this restaurant as a 2 star.

I do wish the restaurant much success and perhaps their frequent visitors prefer the bland taste of food.

Home cooking with a simple menu. Affordable pricing and an owner with favor flair. I would have given a 5 star but the ladies bathroom had no paper towels.

Enjoyed a delicious last lunch here. Everything was homemade. The veggies were perfect & catfish delish. They keep it simple with a few daily choices, burgers & catfish. Also, they serve breakfast. Service was perfect! Will definitely be going back

Tried this place yesterday afternoon. The catfish was dripping with grease and very bland, and my brother's burger was rare rather than medium well. Hush puppies were good. Can get much better quality food for a few dollars more elsewhere.
