Food is delicious. Service sometimes a little slow but that's because they're always busy. Relatively pricey but worth it. Get the yallie.

This is a pizza restaurant, but I've never eaten there. This review is purely for the music venue in the back. It's small but they have interesting punk/alternative leaning bands, including a lot of female riot grrl types. I've seen Girlpool and Childbirth there (if you don't know them check them out!) It was a good time and they have good gin cocktails. But the problem is the venue is quite removed from public transportation and the center of DC. The audience for these shows seems quite at odds with the surrounding neighborhood which is an older demographic with children. Also there really aren't a lot of other bars in the neighborhood so you can get barhopping before or after the show. Also, the shows seem to start rather late, I guess after the restaurant stops serving so sometimes by the time you drive home, it's quite a late night I would recommend going if you like one of the bands and want something to do on a weekend. But keep in mind that since a lot of these bands make money from touring they are likely to do a show at a more convenient venue at a later date.
Scary place. They have underground bunkers here that connect with the entire block and all the stores are owned by the same friends/Super PACs. Some weird stuff goes on underneath this block of stores. And they commit all their crimes under the street so they can have a reasonable out when shit hits the fan (technically done on city/state property and not personal property) like what happened in the United Kingdom. I mean just check the instagram page for this place (if it's still up). Creep vibes all around. I mean damn, even their logos have what the FBI calls "pedophile symbols" which are open record for anyone to look up on the FBI's website. Wikileaks gave us the inside info on the codenames they use "pizza", "cheese pizza", "handkerchief", "white", etc. Yuck! But let me tell you something, the age of the internet has brought to light what the elite inner circles like to do to each other and their kids. We know now. Even if Trump doesn't win, best believe shit will hit the fan for the American pedo ring just like it did in the UK two years ago. These satanic, spirit cooking worshiping freaks are about to get all that bad karma right back. Take a look at some evidence... http://i.4cdn.org/pol/1478606589465.jpg
Garbage place, food sucks, and the owners are sketchy. Wouldn't recommend.
Someone who works at Ping Pong taped a little girl's toddler's hands to a table at Comet Ping Pong and photographed it and then published it on their twitter like it was a joke. Sick freaks making jokes about child abuse! DO NOT LET YOUR CHILDREN ANYWHERE NEAR HERE!!
Wonderful pizza place to bring friends from out of town. Had some friends in town from Toronto and wanted to take them somewhere fun and unique to eat. I had seen this restaurant on Triple D and immediately thought of it. Was not disappointed. Went in around 6:15 on a Friday night. Had to wait 20-30 for a table but that was completely expected. They have us a buzzer and we could go to the little cage next door for a drink while we waited. Each of us ordered our own pizza. Between us we had The Jimmy, The Drive, The Cabbage Patch and The Pork. We all shared so I was able to try all four. I think they were all excellent but my favorite had to the The Jimmy. The meatballs on it were so delicious. But my second favorite what The Cabbage Patch with its Brussel Sprouts. My friends had some IPA that was on tap but I was driving home that night and didn't try any. They did like it though. Our waiter was funny and sweet. He took real good care of us. Got to play ping pong too for a bit but there were a bunch of people waiting so we didn't play too long. I believe they have 4 ping pong tables and it's free to play. That was fun. Haven't played in years and it was neat to do while waiting for food. I am very pleased I had this little gem stored to bring friends to. They really enjoyed it and I think it's a place they'll remember.
I was here a month or two ago with my girlfriend and her roommate. It was busy but we were seated within two minutes. The wait staff is friendly and informative. All three of us had a hard cider to drink while we waited on our food. I ordered the pizza that has the meatballs on it. I admit I'm too lazy to look the name up right now. It was really good for being a pretty standard pizza topping! All three of us enjoyed our pizzas and agreed that we will be returning. Regardless of the ping pong tables, this place is well worth a visit if you like great pizza. The pizzas are large enough to squash your appetite. It can be a little loud but that is not a complaint. The ping pong tables are a very interesting feature.
Pretty good pizza. The broccoli rabe quality varies considerably day to day but other than that it's pretty good. I gave it 2 stars because the last couple times I went there, my subtotal was always a dollar or 2 more expensive than what it should have been. Here's an example, everything I ordered was an even number, but the subtotal before tax was added in had change on it. Ex. $15 + $15 = $31.64 subtotal, before tax was added in. I asked my waitress why the subtotal was more than the items I bought and she didn't know and asked the manager and when she came back she gave me a bs excuse about how it was an up charge on something. I said, "If it's an up charge, why is the charge not listed on the bill?" and she said that's what it was. I was with someone at the time and both of our bills had extra charges. I kept an eye out the next few times I went there and every time I was overcharged by a different amount. I stopped going there because of the dishonesty. tl:dr check your bill because there is a good chance they added hidden charges to it.
Can't go wrong with them wings! Dipping sauce is A-MA-ZING! Also they have a good beer selection... I went with the local Jailbreak straight outta Laurel, MD!
The comet is great for people who have kids. The back room is great for them to play in and has about 4-5 tables. It's always filled with families so do expect some screaming and background noise of children. The pizza is good for what's it's worth. It's not the greatest but it's still good.... politics and prose is next door so that's always a good thing.
Came in just for drinks tonight but we will be back for food. Every pizza I saw looked delicious. The wings look amazing as well. The bartender is awesome and attentive. I'll be back soon. I had the Jack's Cider which was delicious.
Great pizza just small in size. Tried the ca-lamb-ity Jane and steel wills. The steel wills was good but the Ca-lamb-ity Jane was amazing....brings a tear to my eye just thinking about it. I'm not one to get a pizza without tomato sauce but I'm so happy I did! Restaurant has a laid back vibe and music was good, was able to pick a few songs on the jukebox. Played some ping pong afterwards and it was an overall great time.
The pizza here is good, but the wings are the best thing on the menu. They are so soft the meat falls off the bone and the dipping sauce is amazing. We dip the pizza in it too. Do yourself a favor and get the wings.
Neat low key pizza joint to grab a brewski and feed your appetite. The bathrooms are hidden behind a barrel wall - cool but impossible to find. Outdoor seating under the string lights are great for summer nights. Parking is easier to find in nearby neighborhoods across the street.
Went there for the first time tonight. We tried the corn appetizer, wings, a tomato based pizza and a white pizza with drinks. Good things: The Drinks were good and stiff in 16 Oz glasses. After two drinks, you need to call an uber. The wings were jerk style and very yummy!! Bad things: The Pizza was bland! I've had better at Pizza Boli's or the Jumbo Slice in Adams Morgan. I would return for drinks and the wings!!
A-OK. I saw a show here, Prince Rama. It's so far away from metro riders. I dunno. Maybe a mile. Maybe three. Those are both longer than a hundred paces.
This pizza was every bit as fantastic as Guy said, which was enhanced by the ricotta add in. The sauce was flavorful and the fennel sausage was by far the best that I've ever had. Between 2 pizzas with 2 add ons, 3 glasses of wine, one mixed cocktail, an appetizer and 1 dessert, our bill was close to $100. So be prepared to drop some cash.
Awesome and chill place to grab a late night bite to eat or drink. Ping pong tables in the back for beginners to more advanced players. The bartender is amazing and welcoming (Ante) and makes you feel like a member of the Comet family.
My server was perfectly pleasant and the pizza, though small and overpriced, was quite good. Despite this, I could not wait to leave the restaurant from the moment I ordered my food. The "hip" restaurant is apparently too "hip" for this 22-year old. Untethered children run about the restaurant, ignored by their parents, and obnoxious groups of teens and twenty-somethings rock the booths behind you and have roaring unabridged conversations. The managers and wait staff seem unfazed by the children treating the dining area as if it were a playground. Do not order in at Comet. I would only ever recommend their takeout, and there are, no doubt, better pizzas in and around DC to choose from.
