Stopped in for coffee and breakfast with our pup, Mia. I love that they are dog friendly inside and out. Super cute seating area outside and plenty of seating inside. Everyone is so friendly and lively. Music was good and everyone was enjoying themselves.
They have a case at front with a bunch of baked goodies. Everything looks delicious. I really liked the lox and bagel, and that I got to build it myself. Came with a lot of salmon and toppings!
They only have one drink size, and two types of bagels to choose from - plain and everything.
Still very delicious!
My mom had the pesto platter bagel and the pesto was fresh and tasteful! Big servings.
Red velvet latte was good and so was the tumeric honey latte. I got the red velvet latte with oat milk. Check them out!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Definitely an aesthetically pleasing places for catching up with friends or doing productive work. There is a small area that has about 3-4 tables, which is intended to be a quiet place or study hall for those who are serious about finishing up their work.
+ Free wifi
+ Outlets
+ separate room for productivity
+ Great atmosphere and lighting for the vibes
However, it is a little small since I prefer having larger tables for my workspace, which is a personal preference. In addition, I wish that there is transparency on the prices for their specialty drink since I would like to know how much I am paying for my drinks. An employee came off a bit rude since we took a while to order, although there was no one in line, so I'm not too sure if I will come back.

This is my favorite coffee place on island.
Parking is a bit tough, and lines can be very long. Staff are friendly and efficient... so it moves rather quickly. They have a great variety on their menu and lots of delicious pastries/food. There is plenty of seating inside, but it can get pretty loud.
I always order an iced macnut latte with oat milk. 98% of the time - it comes out perfect. I am a stickler for consistency when it comes to eateries.
Don't forget to stamp your card.
Highly recommend this spot if you're in the area!

The pastries here look so good and taste even better! We made a quick stop here for some coffee and muchies in the morning and this hit the spot! There are plenty of places to sit and work or study, or read newspaper, or just anything! I wish we had time to come back in the evening to check out their drink offerings! Staff was very friendly and fast and the place is very clean! I got an almond croissant and it was so yummy!

By day, a neighborhood coffee and baked goods shop that welcomes people to settle in and get comfortable. In the evening, currently three nights a week, some of the best cocktails in the area with the same welcoming vibe.
Old-school Coffee Talk is still there. It is just rebranded as Talk Kaimuki. So you can still get a lovely rotating selection of baked goods and warmed up bites to go with lattes so sweet they make your teeth hurt. You can still park yourself in a seat, nurse your iced matcha latte until it's no longer cold, and take full advantage of the space, the free wi-fi and restrooms.
What is different is you can come in Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings for wonderfully creative cocktails and mocktails, many centered around the daytime coffee atmosphere. The welcome is more personal. Whether you're slowly taking it all in as a first-timer in the evening or a familiar returning face you might get hit up with an amuse of the latest house-infused rum to get your palate going.
Brittany Cheatham has one for the ladies who don't drink caffeine and like sweet. Konnichiwa, Vincenzo. In-house made black sesame syrup and soda + yuzu, capped with a cold yuzu kosho cream. If you only drink sweet tea lattes by day, then this is your drink at night.
Don't Be Chai. Multiple whiskies infused with Brittany's, house blend of chai, cinnamon syrup, Australian Bitters Company coffee bitters, served on a rock. Spill The Tea. Earl Grey infused local Kohana Rum, a muddle of bergamot, mint, and teas that draw out the essentia oils, muscat grape and orange blossom water Pavan Liqueur, citrus, soda. As they expand their offerings look for flights and hopefully a cocktail course.
Simple eats at night. Go with a Bomb Grilled Cheese - Brie, Parmesan, shredded cheese, dijon aioli, on Breadshop foccasia. "Jammin", w fig jam. "So Ham", w honey and ham.
So worthwhile to drive up from the flatlands for a casual evening out . Better cocktails and less low-life up on the top of Kaimuki. And don't be surprised if the second time you walk in they remember your name.Helpful 24Thanks 2Love this 22Oh no 0 - Wendy N.Honolulu, HI57184455Mar 21, 2024Updated review
I love this place.
Everyone is so nice. There are so many tempting choices for breakfast. This time I got the Sammie on the croissant. You've got to try it if you love lots of delicious cheese and spinach.
No matter how many customers are standing line, the employees work so well together.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

Thank you so much for coming in and supporting a local community business. We really appreciate you. Happy Holidays
Dec 19, 2023Previous reviewI'm not in this area of Kaimuki frequently enough to try Coffee Talk. I ordered a meat quiche and hot vanilla latte. The female that took my order was so helpful and kind.
In addition to the latte and quiche both tasting great and satisfying, the atmosphere is so calming. The two female workers efficiently handled the constant flow of customers and the preparing of the food and coffee so efficiently. That adds to the overall great feeling of the Coffee Talk experience.
Thank you. - 1012541180Jul 9, 2023
It's crazy to see that coffee talk is still around!! I remember I would go here when I was in high school! Super nostalgic!
***What I ordered
**Cinnamon Roll Latte (5/10) ~
I loved that you can taste the cinnamon flavor and everything, but it really felt like I was drinking a cinnamon vanilla milk RATHER than a Cinnamon Roll Latte. It kind of sucks because the flavors were good, but you could BARELY taste the coffee :( which honestly was really disappointing. If they found a way to balance both the sweetness and espresso, then it would of been really good.
Overall,
The flavors in the latte were really good just way too sweet. Service was super mediocre, I don't think I'll be coming back.Helpful 8Thanks 1Love this 6Oh no 0 - Dec 22, 2023
The service here has always been top notch. The staff is friendly and attentive. There are a some food items, but if your looking for dinner - look elsewhere. If you want tasty snacks while you drink something with an ABV, absolutely. My go to is the tropical popcorn, such a delightful savory mix. The cocktail menu has changed a bit, but we've found that the drinks are keenly curated. It's a vibe, low key and a neighborhood staple for caffeine by day and alcohol by night.

Aloha. I just wanted to say I went back & got coffee & coffee cake was great. I asked to talk to the baker & she was happy to see If she could help. Then the Owner can & Sat by me in a very busy time. she listened to the complaint & mentioned they tried many things. But with the door being so close & tons of people coming and going i get it she was sincere & polite, and patient. I give 5 Stars now & sorry for the yelp.
