This place is a SCAM. It is hard enough to find a good dentist down here in Florida, due to Corporate dentistry taking the place of private practices, but Coast Dental makes the others around here look like Disney world. On April 6, 2018, we went in to have an extraction for my husband's tooth, that was causing him severe pain, and I had spoke with the front desk when I made the appointment, and cleared EVERYTHING about our insurance beforehand. We are in network, so it was a go. We went in early to fill paperwork, and when he went back, an hour later I'm assuming they were
Surely almost done with the simple procedure. NOPE!! He texts me that he is STILL sitting there discussing payment of which they demanded it all be paid up front, even though that is a violation of their contract with the insurance company. Any reputable place would have filed the insurance and gotten a copay and any deductible upon leaving, or at the least, gotten him some help after the hour he sat there. What a SCAM, that they took x rays unnecessarily before refusing to do any procedure because of ridiculous fees they wanted up front. They obviously want to double bill, and they refused to tell why they were doing this to us when my insurance agent was on the phone telling them what we owed was NOT what they were quoting. They are unprofessional and were dressed like street people..sweatpants and hoodies are hardly appropriate in a health care setting. They were obnoxious, rude, and told me to leave when I questioned their disgusting money grab and treatment of myself and my husband, who they nickled and dimed in that dentist chair for over an hour. My insurance agent was appalled at the way they treated us, and heard all of it. She reported this incident to the proper authorities. They RUN SCAMS out of that office unabashedly and apparently are never held accountable for the fraud they commit. Do NOT go here...anywhere but here. They do NOT honor in network insurance, and treat patients like GARBAGE. Their office smells of mildew and mold, and looks like a 3rd world practice..creaky doors, and taped up signs. Beware of the fake 5 stars...They are NOT accurate. A whole day wasted at this place, yet they will still file a fraudulent claim for services he did not get.

I have been experiencing a billing issue with this office for months which they continue to ignore me. They claim I owe them $126.00 but cannot come up with a statement to show what it is for. I have reached out to the office, no return calls. I have reached out to the district manager, Nixta, and still nothing. The last bill was their "final" and they are threatening to send me to collections. This is absolutely ridiculous!! BE AWARE of how much you are billed and always ask for a statement. There is something not legit about this office and they are all about your money.

In addition, the office staff is rude. I waited over an hour to be seen for my early morning appointment with no explanation of why or when I would be seen.

They are out for your money, and if insurance doesn't pay for their erroneous billing, they come after you. BEWARE!

First of all, I went for a 2 PM appointment they had me fill out some outdated forms obviously they were copied in really bad condition. The girl at the front desk was extremely rude and I asked when I would see someone and decided to leave at 2:21 nothing ever happened. There was three girls behind the front desk just chitchatting and acting like they don't care About anybody's time or schedule. I can't believe places like this in business. also speaking English is a lost art form. I'd love to be speak spoken to in Spanish. It didn't understand anything. They said what a horrible place all right see you later bye-bye.

I will never go back. I felt like I was treated like it was a used car lot. Take my review into consideration, and should they ever decide to return my calls or emails I may update the review.

I want to add my negative review to the many others in hopes that someone smarter than I am will look for reviews first before spending their time and money at this terrible place. My story is Jan of 2024.

      Neutral:
The upsell strategy of the place, the extra panoramic xray and the oral cancer screen. This is neither good nor bad, you can say no, I'm just pointing out what the place feels like.

      Pros:
The dentist was pleasant and good. She suggested a deep cleaning for something like $1500 out of pocket.

      Cons:
What totally ruined the experience for me was how they handled the treatment plan, after they told me I needed a deep cleaning. While in the chair I was presented with an estimate of services, totaling around $1500, and I said before I make any additional appt I want to talk to my insurance company about coverage. She then handed me the estimate on a clipboard and said "Please sign." This is the exchange:

Me: "But it says here that I authorize the treatment, and I want to talk to insurance first"
Her: "Don't worry about that, just sign."
Me: "I'm not comfortable with that wording"
      Her: "It just a template"
Me: "Well how about I cross those words out..."
Her: [snatches the clipboard back] "DON'T CROSS ANYTHING OUT"
Me: "I'm willing to sign the estimate so long as those words aren't there"
      Her: "Never mind"
Me: "Well can I get a copy of it?"
      Her: "Not without signing"

So I left the office without getting a cleaning, without an aftercare summary, and without a copy of any proposed treatment plan. Does it sound to you like they put the patient first?

A few days later I called back and left a message that I wanted to talk to the office manager, no response. A few days later I tried again, but this time the mailbox was full. Then I sent an email that I wanted to talk to the office manager. No response. Then I called the "Patient Quality Assurance Line" which routed me to scheduling, where I left yet another msg for someone to call me back. The lady said "I will take that message. Now, do you want to come in for a consultation?" Umm... No.

It's been a good month now, and there has been response at all. Again I ask, does it sound like they put the patient first?

So take my review into consideration along with the others here. I'm never going back.

I called the 877-880-1212 "Patient Quality Assurance line", it's just an appointment line. Coast Dental "Scammers just pretending to be scammers that care"
Coast Dental and Aspen are some of the only dentists that accept almost all insurances and discount plans. You go there thinking your cleaning will be covered, or cheap, but then they tell you that the services that you need aren't covered by your insurance or discount plan, as they hand you a $500+ Treatment Plan for your "Deep Cleaning". Borderline Bait 'n Switch right there.

I don't usually write reviews but this one needs to be written because it's so terrible that it's criminal. This dentist practice needs to be stopped immediately because of how terrible they take advantage of people and their health.

I have been going to the Cape Coral office for over 15 years because Ana is a phenomenal hygienist .I went to get my routine 6 month checkup including X-rays and a cleaning. After the X rays were taken a few minutes later on a large TV monitor a guy with a white smock appears and he looks at the X-rays the hygienist emailed and tries to sell me a deep cleaning for $1800!!

I was confused by this because I always had excellent check ups with no issues.
I told them that I wanted my 6 month cleaning and I would get a second opinion from another dentist. They refused and told me that they would not do anything unless I was going to get the $1800 deep cleaning.

So I went to an independent dentist that my wife uses in Cape Coral today. I got a full mouth ray, cleaning and dental exam from the dentist who is also the owner.
I was told my gums and teeth are very healthy and nothing further is needed.
My next 6 month appointment is scheduled for only a check up and cleaning with my new dentist.

By the way , I have been told in the state of Florida that a dentist needs to be present and do an actual check up before they can recommend any work. This did not happen at Coast Dental.

Do not go to Coast Dental!!!!!

You have been warned by me and others on Google, Yelp and Facebook.

I am not sure how to rate this dentist office. We are new to the area and needed a good dentist.

While I feel like I got a great cleaning I also feel like I was scammed. It seems they get you in the office to do x-rays and the next thing they are telling you that you need a major cleaning and it will cost $700. I have been going to the dentist religiously since I was a child. I rode my bicycle with a toothbrush in my mouth. I take such good care of my teeth that my previous dentists have put me on annual checkups because I didn't need cleanings every six months. Knowing all this I asked for a regular cleaning and they refused. I could get the deep cleaning or nothing.

I get home to find out my wife was told the same thing.

I truly believe we may have been scammed.

Do your homework before going to this office.

This place is absolutely horrible the most terrible dental office I have ever been to in my life they are liars and scammers told me that X-rays weren't covered on the first visit and I had to pay out of pocket when my insurance clearly stated X-rays were covered then they made me apply for care credit for services that were cove under my insurance I paid $800 to find out the only reason they weren't covered is because the doctor was never in the building. They never informed me that there was No doctor in the office after the cleaning they took me to a room and the doctor appeared on TV never giving me a choice when I first got there to deny service as I wasn't aware the doctor wouldn't even be seeing me they should be sued and closed down I'm seeking an attorney to fight this

Holy Crap!!!!...Natalie May, the dentist, bragged about how good she was...the WORST dentist I have ever been to...I'm 72 and have seen a lot of dentists. She was patronizing, arrogant...and most of all, a very bad, unexperienced dentist.
She put an eight tooth bridge in, in March and it was misaligned and cheaply made, for over $6k. I had pain from it from day one and she would/could not fix the problems.
She believes that most patients are brainless. I told her I had a pain in my bridge when I bite down on it, so she told me to come back with food so she could see if the pain was there when I bit down on food..!!?? Pathetic

Went in for a first visit. Periodontal cleaning
      Charged me $1250
      my payment should've been $304
They owe me $946 which I've been fighting for since April 19
Numerous calls from myself and corporate Florida Blue
They never answer the and their mailbox is always full
My credit card number by Emily on June 5 assuming she was going to credit my card $946
That never happened. Is my card number sitting on a sticky note for all to see ?
I also witnessed several patients waiting and showing the same concern as mine
They obviously do not have a clue about Insurance
Do not get into the same situation
