Sales person Maureen pleasant and responsive. Installation a bit of a nightmare. Came late left late 7:15PM and job still not done. Back next day. Pantry does not look finished no solutions for even minor issues. Installation supervisor David did not provide any workable solutions. Everything was we have no solutions for that. Installer Stephen did the best with what he had. Spaces at top of unit and sides. So disappointed. Proceed with extreme caution.

Joey and Bruce just left my house after
repairing my closet doors and they were just the best. Really cared about me and making sure everything worked good. They deserve all the praise I can give them. Two terrific guys. They should get a 10 plus!!!!!!!!!!!Business owner information

I am on hour 6 of an install... They only sent 1 person to handle 4 closets. He has to run back and forth cutting pieces and doing the install all himself. And we are unable to communicate due to the language barrier. I feel for him and am disgusted by his superiors who are working him this hard. Completely unfair and a waste of time for the both of us. Now he has to cut the closet rods in my apartment since it's dark out. Hopefully he doesn't damage my newly installed floors... I'll update this review with pictures and maybe a different rating pending the outcome.
Update:
I've connected with the saleswoman. The worker is now cutting what he needs in my apartment... (did I mention I'm violating HOA rules now?) Turns out that shouldn't be the case so sounds like someone - "the VP of Install" screwed up my job. Here was the saleswoman's response:
"Be assured that on Monday morning I will be on the phone with the VP of install. I specifically designed this job so there would not be any cutting given the very strict rules and the fact that there wasn't any place to cut there anyway. I canceled my contract with the company following their guidelines on June 22nd; on July 10th, my credit card was charged, and now Im trying to get my deposit back.
No one will call me back; I have sent several emails.

I received a response offering to resolve my issue. I chose to cancel within the 3 day grace period they offered. I still have not received a refund for the 20 % down payment they charged my credit card. I no longer want their merchandise yet I cannot get a refund.
12/12/2022Previous reviewI signed a contract for a closet installation that offered me a 20% down and zero interest financing for a year. When the sales rep confirmed my financing, I was told the limit was for 3 times what the cost was for the purchase. I questioned her and was told to call Wells Fargo. I did the next day and was informed that I was approved for a retail credit card! I was never told that information that I now have a new credit card to spend on any home improvement not just with Closet World. I then signed the cancellation form and emailed it to the sales rep. Her email was the only address I had. She called me on a Friday in response and told me that I had to call order processing. I called and was told they were not in until the following Monday. I CALLED TODAY. I was not offered approval of my cancellation request. I was told to email it to the sales department and they would check into it and respond. I asked sales why my sales rep could not have forwarded the email to the proper email address when she received it last week. No response - Closet World offers a 3 day right to cancel but makes it extremely difficult. My sales rep offered to switch the financing to 50% down and the balance at installation but said she needed to return to sign a new contract. I never scheduled that after checking with my credit card company and finding that the 20% down had already been processed after she said that financing program was canceled. Be wary -

UNACCEPTABLE work completed!! Installed uneven and gaps and baseboards were not removed properly. Manager refuses anything can be done. I will file a complaint with Corporate office.

Not sure where to even start with my review. We bought a home that had no closets so I was on a mission to get this done ASAP and was attracted by the advertisements for 50% and free installation. Well, 50% if still a rip off because they are WAY over priced.
Our sales rep was nice and came to our house but she had 0 imagination. I could have bought bookshelves for a fraction of the price. They push you pretty quick to sign and get going and then give you 3 days to cancel.
I totally fell for a sales speech and was just so tired of them being at the house for hours that I just said "yes". Expensive mistake I'll be paying for.
Make sure to have your walls prepped prior to them coming to install - we didn't do this and our closets look like sh*t because of the damage left behind on the walls from the prior rods and baseboard removal. Overall I was so disappointed by the entire experience, price and service. I filed with the BBB because it was so bad.
Several of my drawers showed up damaged.... Which still hasn't been addressed. This place really doesn't care. They just want the sale and that's it.Business owner information

The worst experience in my life! I ordered the doors to kids room on July 1st. Approx completion date was August 5. First the installation date was moved a few times in the end the doors installed were completely different from my order, I ordered white panels received gray mirror doors! After this I waited again about a few weeks and received right doors but damaged. So again I was waiting about a month for a new doors, but this time the size wasn't right! I spend so much money for this project, so much time waiting the installers. I really disappointed about this company service. Besides the kid's closet door, there were two mess ups with my other projects, first the top counter for garage table wasn't delivered first time and the side panel for bicycles was completely forgotten, but included in payment. So I need to call the designer she contacted installation department to figure out this issue. I've never have the worst experience in my life!

I posted a review of this business. They contacted me through Yelp and assured me that they would address. To date, there has been no response. Installation Manager R. Madrid response was "you'll get an update when I get an update...."
Again it has been months, with no updates or solution.4/17/2022Previous reviewIf I can give zero or negative stars I would. I am extremely disappointed with the service and installation on units that I got for my home and another built in for my business office.
I went with Closet World because the Northern California branch for my home in Oakland. So when I needed custom units in Southern California, I said why not?! Big mistake.
These 2 jobs started in October 2021 and to this day April 2022, there is still no resolution. They even created damage to my walls!
The designer keeps putting it back to the installation department. The installation department supervisor is either "unavailable" or they would take your number to be called back. Guess what if they call me back? Answer is NO.
I have spoken to 3 different supervisors since this whole ordeal started (George was the worst). Now I'm dealing with Mr. Madrid, and had to resend pictures via email and explain for the millionth time the issue. The designer Abdallah is nice enough but offers no help to find a solution. He just keeps putting me back to installation team. At some point after months, it should be all hands on deck to find fix!!! But everyone was quick to charge / take my money.
Rather than go on and on, why don't I just have pictures speak for themselves. This monstrosity needs to be removed from my home. I need to be reimbursed for the damage to my unit. My patience has run out.
I am done with this company!!!

Honestly the worst experience ever. The initial designer measured and we agreed on an install date almost two months later. The designer came back a week or two later needing to measure again. On my install date, the installer who came told us he was unable to do the work due to the designer's mistake, that his tools would not suffice for the job, that he had insufficient material, and that he was supposed to be on probation for a month as a trainee, but was told to work on his own after one week. He was on the phone with the supervisor and told the supervisor that we did not want it done unless it was going to be done correctly and that he was not able to do it with the materials and tools he had. The supervisor Diego Barriga, not knowing he was on speakerphone, told him, "fuck the clients, get that shit done today."
We then set another install date, and another installer came with no materials or anything at all, and came to measure AGAIN. I finally spoke with the head supervisor Roman and set an install date AGAIN. The installer who came was the same one as the first time, he arrived 50 minutes late, and didn't get anything done for an entire hour before other installers showed up and they finally started working. I even helped carry up all the materials because it was taking too long and I was going to be late to my own birthday party the way things were moving. A "2.5 hour max" job took 4 hours.
There is no professionalism and no fucks given at all with this company.
I asked to get a refund before my install date since I paid half as a down payment because I honestly didn't want to work with this company after all my time they wasted, but they refused. I understand I have a certain amount of days to request a refund, but they put me through so much and wasted so much of my time it seemed like a reasonable request. They also damaged the wood during the install.
