Q:
Do they have a good vacuum?
A:
I think the vacuums are great - they sucked up white dog hair.

Each stahl is well equipped, maintained, and clean. Easy to use tap to pay or any credit card. Can utilize the parking lot next door for extra drying space if it's busy. Best self-service car wash I've found adjacent to SF.

Super small self car wash in SSF. They only have 3 bags to wash cars so it can get crowded. They don't have much space to dry your car. The last time I went I had to park on the sidewalk to dry my car.
To start pay $4 for 4 minutes and each additional minute is a $1. I wish they would have a longer start time cause 4 minutes goes by fast and you have to keep going back to pay after time elapses.
Until I find another self serve car wash in the area, this will do.Helpful 6Thanks 1Love this 4Oh no 0 - Leon V.San Francisco, CA17074Sep 26, 2022
I found it on Yelp and went all the way from SF to try. They have so many options for self car washing. If you don't want to scratch your car because of a dirty brush, use their soap spraying and use your own towels to wash. Pressure spray is great. Plus the air dry blow is good to avoid water spots after wash.
Pay attention if you pay by credit card. It's said "the machine will stop at $4 or 4 mins", but it's not. It ran until they charge you for $12.50. I guess it was good to end at the maximum. Until you need to wash or blow dry more and realize there is no "end button" to press on credit card machine, you ended up to pay maximum again which was $12.50Helpful 7Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 2 - Lasantha R.Inner Richmond, San Francisco, CA11254May 2, 2023

My husband is a bit of a car geek and he does not trust anybody to wash his car, but this carwash had all the features he could use to wash it while we were on the way to a car show! He was ecstatic at the state of the car.

Is it weird that I love washing my car? I don't like hand washes because they always miss spots. The drive-through ones I'm always super afraid of damaging or scratching my paint.
Here's a tip. Don't use the giant soapy brushes ever on your paint or you run the risk of leaving huge gashes or hairline scratches from debris that gets stuck in there. Let the soap fall onto your car. Take a sponge and do a quick once over. Or even better, BYO soap spray and scrub your car before starting the machine. Total price for a thorough car wash for me is $7 and I can make sure that I get everything the way I want it.
One of the better self-serve car washes I've been to for the water pressure and they take credit card (wowowow!). Bring your own chamoises and microfiber towels to dry and you are good as new!Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - J H.San Francisco, CA03017Sep 18, 2020
This is a wonderful place to wash your car by yourself. It's kind of fun, really.
They have four bays to wash your car. If you want, you can vacuum your car beforehand. The car wash accepts quarters and credit cards. You have a spray gun and an electric powered soap brush available. You put your money or credit card in and then you have a series of pushbuttons that allow you to pre-wash with the spray gun, power-wash with the spray gun, then use the soap brush, then rinse with the spray gun. There are some special settings I no longer use, like spot-free rinse or Turtle wax.
The first trick is to park the car precisely in the center of the bay, so that the rotating hose in the ceiling is directly over the center of your roof.
The second trick is to make sure your windows are rolled up and that you have not locked yourself out of the car.
The third trick is to soap the roof first, and when rinsing, rinse the entire roof first.
The fourth trick is if you have a vehicle with a high roof, you may want to bring a waterproof stepstool, otherwise your arms will be exhausted.
The fifth trick is to bring along a squeegee and a chamois cloth or paper towels to dry off your car.
The last trick is drive out of the parking lot before you dry off your car or truck, otherwise the water and soap from the other cars will mess you up.
Enjoy.Helpful 10Thanks 1Love this 4Oh no 0
