Clarity & Cut Barbershop

First of all - i got a weird ass head. Always been hard finding barbers.

However, i am so happy i found this spot. Carlos is the bomb, and worked with me to develop a cut i love (and will keep for years).

George is so skilled and gentle, and really listens to you.

This isn't just a 5-star barbershop. this is MY 5-star barbershop.

Tip well. This spot deserves it.

Plenty of parking in the PS lot.

Carlos, Chuy and George.. hands down... will get you right and fresh.

Their Customer service is amazing. This is one of the cleanest and nicest shops in dtla.

They can do all sort of cuts and services from black mask treatment to any kind of scissor cuts. They also have a color station in the back.

Not only a barbershop for men but a shop for woman as well. Blow outs, hair coloring, ... Carlos and the team can do it.

Vibes don't lie ... this place will get you looking like a millionaire.

Carlos has my all of my trust and if I had to choose one word to describe him, it's consistency!

Best barbers in LA. I keep coming back because other barbers kept messing up my haircut. The lead barber told me he believes in only hiring certified barbers and I have always received a great cut at a great price from any barber at Clarity & Cut.

I told Carlos I'd write a great review for hooking me up with now my one and only wedding haircut!

Amazing customer service! These are REAL barbers people!

So I went to get a haircut and beard trim at another shop in Santa Fe Springs called TaperFade, my usual barber bailed on me and couldn't finish my beard. WTF! I live in echo park so it's almost an hour and a half to get there, he tells me to come back all casually. I felt he rushed my cut as well. The fade felt off.

Fast forward to today, January 9th, I'm waiting for the bus to make that shitty trek back to my barber and I literally saw these guys next to my bus stop. The owner Carlos greeted me and was super nice from the beginning. I told him my story and I needed a beard trim.

He called out his associate (his nephew) Randy to help me. Fucking A Randy not only cleaned do a sick lineup with my beard. He fixed my half assed done fade without charging (of course I had to tip the man at least) practically gave me a haircut. He took his time and made feel he was taking his time to get it right. He fixed the rushed fade I got in Taper Fade in Santa Fe Springs.

This is gonna be my spot now for sure.

This place has amazing customer service and that's what sets these guys apart from ANY other barber shop in DTLA. Anyone can do a half ass fade in DTLA making you feel like your on an assembly line but this place wants you to walk out feeling satisfied no matter the time. Barbering is an art form and these guys respect the art and values of barbering. Thanks Carlos and Randy again!


I'm gonna be clear that Taper Fade in Santa Fe Springs is on point . They really do take their time. My gripe is that it's not managing the customer's. My barber booked me with a girl that canceled my appointment. TaperFade is awesome when it wants to be and the cuts especially from Diane are spectacular!

However this is closer to my neck of woods and the amount of comfort I felt here was beyond TaperFade. Carlos comes from Angelo's up the street so he knows barbers at that place hate their jobs. Just a wonderful experience and Randy is my go-to. He's a kid but he is a perfectionist.

I just moved to downtown and wanted to find a good spot for a haircut so I asked my roommate and he recommended Clarity & Cut. I booked an appointment with Carlos and i guess you can say I found my new spot. I like how you can book an appointment on my phone versus having to text the barber like I did at my old spot. He welcomed me in and gave my best cut I've had in years. I got a taper and the fade is still fresh days after. It's also a good vibe and Carlos is very welcoming and nice, offering water to everyone and always just saying positive things to everyone. Can't wait for my next cut and thanks Clarity and Cut.

Guess where I am? You bet- 4 years later. Still rocking with Carlos and team. It's a simple decision people-- I'm almost torn about leaving a follow up on this secret.

Clarity & Cut Barbershop is top tier! Great services, crisp cut, good energy and the price is right on point. I'm a downtown local and was recommended to see Randy and he did what needed to be done. He didn't make no mistakes and was super professional and took his time to make sure the cut was to my liking. Thank you Randy!
