Citrus Heights Dental

Although their front desk is very friendly and welcoming, I would not come here again. Their dental hygienists only care about their numbers and running your insurance for deep cleanings! Never in my whole life have I had to get a deep cleaning since I'm pretty good with my teeth maintenance. I step foot here and the dental hygienist tells me I need a deep cleaning that if I don't get one asap I'll get gum disease etc. I never worry about my teeth but this woman instilled fear and doubt in me! She half assed my cleaning and just told me to come back and get a deep cleaning.

I didn't trust the dentist and dental hygienist at this office that I decided to go to carrington college dental office where they throughly examined each teeth and labeled my teeth as healthy no need for a deep cleaning!

If you want an honest opinion about your teeth I would not come here like I said their team is very money driven. They care about the money and not the patient & that's unethical.

After reading these reviews I wish I had found another place for my husband who already has issues with going to the dentist, but to have him leaving with an over 19k out of pocket estimate is insane to me. But when he hears the dentist while looking at his X-rays say "EW" is a line NO medical professional should ever cross. You do not get the right to judge a patient. The inconsiderateness of that is astounding. Compassion is clearly lacking at this office, hopefully this review can help someone else avoid feeling ashamed of trying to improve their dental health.

I went due to a break in my denture. They were wonderful! They were so friendly and the front office was so helpful!!

If you want implants you should probably go somewhere else. The actual implants were ok but the abutments were way too short and too conical that my 4 tooth bridge attached to them had a very low life expectancy of staying attached. Thus, after 2 and 1/2 years the bridge popped off. Another dentist glued it back but it fell off 2 more times. Finally, it popped out again and fell to the ground where it broke in 2. Now I have to do most of this all over again. They advertise cheap prices and the product you get is far less than average. I guess you get what you pay for.

I should have known better after my first visit when I had to wait way too long for service. WAY WAY too long to be seen. They get you in a chair and then you JUST SIT AND WAIT. the whole experience was that I was in a vehicle assembly line. the staff were all kind but I think that was a false impression as they must have known of the low quality work that was being done regarding implants and abutments. I am 75 and have always tried to give people/businesses the benefit of the doubt---BUT NOT HERE.

These guys are all about the money. Every treatment room you pass you hear them trying to upsell some service or another. They used to be kind and caring. Now they are just greedy. Would give them zero stars if I could.

I relocated to Sacramento from Southern California just before covid and it's been a while since my last cleaning. I'm happy to say that my experience with Citrus Heights has been positive.

My first procedure was a deep cleaning and beforehand, I was a bit nervous.
It has been a couple of years since my last dental cleaning. Zenia, the hygienist made sure that I was comfortable and the gum area was totally numbed.

I like this group. The rates are reasonable, all my questions were answered and everyone there was very pleasant.

WHAT I STATED WAS NOT FALSE INFORMATION! Somebody didn't check with the insurance in the beginning like they were suppose to and we were forced to pay 3,000 more than we were EXPECTING. Also given the fact that we were notified until the braces were off, because if it was any earlier we would have not continued to process!

The only reason why after all these years I've decided to write a review was because recently we received a bill in the mail for some fluoride cleaning that I never received! I had my cleaning done almost a YEAR AGO. Why would they send a bill for a fluoride cleaning that was never done over a year ago. Sounds like a SCAM!! How many other patients have you sent that bill to, who would've brushed it off and thought they had it done. How UNORGANIZED does a dental office need to be to send a patient a bill from over a year ago.

BEWARE!!! After reading some of the reviews it's clear that this dental office is more driven by your MONEY than the actual service.

I had an accident as a child that caused 8 teeth to be loosened and one that was lost altogether. I ended up with a porcelain bridge that desperately needed replacement 15 years ago. I finally lost a portion of the bridge and was forced to get it replaced.

I had no insurance and certainly didn't have the money to pay upfront for the work but this place was absolutely as accommodating as they could be with the payments.

Now let's talk about the doctors and the assistants. I was sitting there with missing teeth and some pretty tough cosmetic work needing done. But when I left I had a temporary bridge in place that looked phenomenal! Talk about being happy smile again!! And the truth is David had to create the temporary on site and completely free hand!

It was definitely a long session but the staff tried to make me as comfortable as possible and that included laughing when we could.

I would recommend this location in a heartbeat! Plan for long appointments so you don't get frustrated but they will definitely take care of you and help ya have a beautiful smile!

Citrus heights dental has been our saving grace so far! My husband just started going to them. He came home from work with a bad toothache. I gave them a call. They got him in quickly prescribed pain medication and antibiotics. We have personally dealt with disaster dentist. Long waits for work as teeth get worst. Hard time giving necessary medication! Citrus heights dental. Is working with us for a payment plan that won't break us! They are friendly quick with setting up appointments. My husband has said that they do a great job with their work as well. I would 100% recommended them already! Thank you very much citrus heights dental for taking care of my husband and many other patients.

Be careful in deciding to use this establishment ! 1st - you must dodge homeless at their front door upon entering. 2nd- They make you sign a piece of paper that states you cannot sue them if they hurt you or you die in the chair. But the worst part was being overcharged by $4500 on my new "Care Card" Credit Card before any work had even been done. I was not told of these extra ( or new ) charges nor did I sign anything for them to charge on my CC. And this was before ANY work had even started. I had 4 future appointments scheduled over the next two month ( for a total charge of $14K ). Thankfully I found out two days prior to the 1st appointment, ( Thanx to the CC Statement arriving and saying I owed $18.5K already - WOW ) or it would have been too late. I had to contact the CC company to dispute and get my full credit . When I contacted CH Dental about " mistake" , I did not get an apology nor a decent explanation as to how this error could have occurred. So, after cancelling said future appointments immediately, I explained to them that if my mechanic did business this way, he would not be in business much longer ! Needless to say, I have taken my $$ elsewhere !
