We were doing some fly training and landed at the airport close by. Had a nice little lunch there. Had the special of the day the patty melt. Very tasty!

      Great local burger spot.
It's a local dive bar/restaurant. Exactly what you would expect from that only with better-than-average bar food.

The entrance is on the side, not the front.

Went in for lunch when I was passing through town and ordered a patty melt. Damn it was good. I love how it came packed with caramelized onions and the bread was super toasted and loaded with butter. The service was friendly and fast. I'm looking forward to stopping by again when I visit Marshall.

I like the atmosphere here but when I asked for an IPA the waitress gave me a deer in the headlights look, as if she had never heard of such a beverage. Really? Good food but limited selection of weak brews.

Damn good food! Quick cheap, and great cocktails. Try the daily specials. Always my favorite place to eat while gambling at Jackpot Junction

      Lunch special! Patty melt! AMAZING

I walked over to Chumley's from the hotel across the street. It was difficult to tell it was even open, but I had looked online prior to walking.

There were only two other patrons in the building when I walked in. I sat at the bar to order some dinner and have a couple beers.

They served their beer in frosted glasses which I have mixed feelings about, but it's a nice way to guarantee cold beer. Coor's light was only $2.25 a pint. I believe it was a Monday or Tuesday night. I took a look at the menu and decided on a Mushroom Swiss Burger with green olives. It was the first time I had seen green olives as an add-on for a swiss mushroom burger and I was intrigued.

It wasn't long before the other couple in the restaurant left and my burger was done. The cook brought the food out for me and stayed behind the bar to talk shop. It was really nice and reminded me of a neighborhood bar at home. The other employee finished up some of her closing details and joined us at the bar talking about our lives, the weather, sports and business.

The burger was great. It was loaded with mushrooms, green olives and cheese. It was pretty messy and fairly greasy. I had to ask for more napkins, but sometimes that's the kind of burger I'm looking for. The fries were good too.

I would definitely stop back here on my way through town again. It just hit the spot for small town grub and companionship.

Aaliyah (my 6 yr old great granddaughter) loves Chumly's . When we want Classic Midwestern diner food, this is our local go to joint. Aaliyah is an emerging food critique that would surprise most MN foodies - just saying.

If you're searching for the local watering hole this is it. Friendly and welcoming staff, experienced cook and nice environment make this spot a must stop if you're searching for a greasy flavorful burger at a reasonable cost. They also had a few nice craft beers on tap with a small cooler full of bottled choices from domestics to hard soda.

Ok, so we travelled from Minneapolis to Redwood Falls for a wedding. We stopped on the way for an "adult beverage" at a place in Olivia, and were astonished that we were charged 2.50 a drink...for call liquor. That should set the stage for how utterly astonished we were to be charged 7.50 for measly pours at Chumly's. The food was ok, but the prices were obnoxious. I think Abby saw us coming and let us have it with both barrels.

I like the food and this is the second best place to eat in the area. People are nice. Just wish the burgers were bigger!
