I am very happy with Chula Vista Photo Studio. My son had his senior pictures taken here and they turned out great!!!

Everyone was friendly and helpful. They made the process go very smoothly and painlessly. Will definitely be back!!

Took my daughter here for her senior pictures. It took them all of ten minutes to get maybe 6 or 7 shots, not including the cap n gown. Which you gotta make a separate appt for. They're ridiculously over priced with their senior packages which don't include cap n gown. Only used one drape color. They have no creativity. All pictures from years ago still look the same and we're in 2022. We should not have to make a separate appt for cap n gown pics which they could've took when she did the black drape pictures. It's not like it would've took hours. Maybe another 5 minutes. Wish I would've chosen another place to get her pictures done.

Super experience to get some passport photos for my 4 months old son. Ian was super responsive and helped us in no time. Highly recommend going there for any photo needs.

Needed a Canadian Passport photo.
5 well deserved stars because of a few reasons:
- One of the few studios that answered their phone;
- Pretty much the only one that understood what i needed;
- Pretty much the only one that does this kind of prints, if you need something that isn't the common US passport picture;
- Friendly, but even more important, KNOWLEDGEABLE staff (a characteristic that many yelp user forget to mention, since they are too busy worrying about customer service).

In 5 minutes I got exactly what I wanted, I had to explain myself only once and the photographer already knew what to do (better than I could describe).
Also needed something to be printed on the back of the shot, which was easily done.

I came here the other day with my friend so that he could get a passport photo taken. It was a small, quaint studio with moderately helpful staff, though they weren't particularly welcoming. I made sure to look at the photos on display and was not impressed. There was a large section of the wall for graduation portraits, but were all the same picture.. not quite sure what they were going for unless this kid was home-schooled and insisted on still getting a yearbook.

I expected there to be a separate room for the pictures to be taken but my friend's was shot right at the front. I'm sure there is another room, but what if someone wasn't comfortable with having their picture taken for everyone to watch?

The photo itself came out better than what CVS or Costco does; proper proportions with clear lines and bold colors. But then again, how difficult is it to take a 2x2 passport photo.

I needed a business headshot and I needed it quickly. I called the Chula Vista Photo Studio and they were able to offer me a choice of appointment times. I showed up early and asked about the price and how soon I could take delivery of the photo. I was very happy with the price, but the standard delivery time was past my deadline (I need to plan better next time). The lady behind the counter explained to me that I could pay a little extra and have my order available the next day. I agreed.

I was told that I could change in the dressing room. A small room with several mirrors, hooks for clothes and simple vanity lighting. After I changed I then walked into the enormous photography studio. Against the back wall were backdrop screens. The lighting was on rails and could be quickly maneuvered to get the best effect and the camera was also on a rolling tripod. I sat on a stool and was treated with respect as the photographer helped me to obtain the best poses and encouraged me to smile. Behind the photographer I could see his editing station and racks of tuxedos (I guess for graduation / wedding photos).

After the session I changed back into my street clothes and went out front. The lady behind the counter told me that I could look through the photos that were just taken and pick the one I liked best. This only took a few minutes and eventually I found a shot that I was happy with. I would have been content to take the photo with me at that time, but I was told that they would call me when it was ready.

Imagine my surprise when I got a call a few hours later and was told that the photo was ready. I could come down to the shop and pick up a CD with the image on it. I picked up the CD and thanked them for the quick processing. I was surprised when I looked at the image on the CD. Not only was it the image that I had selected, it had been expertly (and gently) retouched. forehead wrinkles, puffy eyes, blemishes and even a scar had been adroitly removed, leaving me looking younger and refreshed.

I would definitely recommend.

I have been going to Chula Vista photo for 10 years now and they do a phenomenal job on Senior portraits. Although I grew up in Chula Vista and still live in this great city, my children did not attend high school in Chula Vista. Since their quality of work is great, I chose to have all 3 of my children's Senior photos taken at Chula Vista Photo. In 2007, 2010 and 2016, each of my children's Senior photo shoots were taken here and I couldn't be more happy with the finished product. Their staff is so friendly, their Senior portrait package prices are very reasonably priced and their turnaround time is fast! Less than 3 weeks after placing my order last month, my prints and large framed portrait were ready!

I am very happy with my experience at this photo studio. It's something of an icon in Chula Vista since they have been doing senior portraits since I was in high school back in the dark ages Still, when I needed a quick and high quality business portrait, this place came to mind. I was not disappointed. From the moment I called they made every effort to accommodate me, setting me up with an appointment the same week I called. I arrived at my appointment and had my picture taken quickly with great interaction with the staff and the photographer who was great at making me laugh. This showed in my photos which are very natural and relaxed while still professional. I did shop around and the price is a bit higher than other places which include all poses while here I only was able to choose one for $70 but honestly the quality is there and you get what you pay for, right?
