If I could give them no stars I would...

My daughter had her 7th birthday at the Pinole location yesterday and it was awful. I can accept that it took a rediculously long time to get the tokens, we had to ask 3 times to get the bonus 100 for booking on a Sunday, a really long time to get the food we ordered in advance and also forgot to bring us cups for the drinks, but the rest of it was a nightmare that shouldn't of happened.

Twice they announced the ticket drop where Chuck E. Cheese comes out to great the kids and throw free tickets around while we were there. The first time they couldn't get the door unlocked where 'Chuck E' was supposed to come out of. People were running around trying to figure out the combination and apparently no one has a key, by the time they did get it open and a team member went in to put on the rat suit the music had long ended and when he did walk around no one followed with any tickets.

The second time it was announced the kids again waited outside the door, again everyone frantically ran around and again after the music ended they just told all the kids "Sorry Chuck E isn't coming and to go back to their tables" How that could be continually suprised by their own events eludes me...

Finally it was time for the birthday celebrations. Believe it or not Chuck E showed up this time. The performance happened, I lit the candles and she blew them out. I cut the cake and handed it out to our guests but there were no forks. We looked for our hostess, who was no where to be found, so I went and grabbed a handful from the salad bar so the kids could eat their cake.

Then it was time for the ticket blaster. The had my daughter get in and they closed the door. Then they spent 10 minutes trying to figure out why it wouldn't turn on. Again there was a lot of running around, tinkering with things, trying to get it to work, she started to cry and asked to get out but right then it finally started and as she cried she caught about 10 tickets. When she got out the person who opened the door grabbed a few more from the floor and gave them to her. In our past experiences there was always a 1000 super ticket in the booth and some other smaller super tickets. Not this time. With a ticket stuck to the tears on her cheek she sat back down at our table...

If all of that wasn't enough the place was grose. As we walked around the games there were used plastic serving gloves on the floor that were there all 3 hours we were there and never cleaned up. The salad bar looked like someone threw up thousand island dressing all over it and the bathroom was filthy.

All the place needed was a few used syringes and condoms on the floor and we could have been under a freeway overpass in San Francisco except with games.

Not once did anyone apologies for the endless problems and company fails that occured. Our server never asked if we had fun and if everything went well.

Truly pathetic. You should be ashamed of yourselves for the way you treat you customers and their children on their special day.

I wouldn't go back to another Chuck E Cheese if it were the last place on Earth that had food.

Used serving gloves on the floor in the games area... Gross...

      1 check-in

Went here for my nephews' bday, and it was easy to make a last minute reservation due to an unexpected conflict with our original party plans. The venue was clean, modern, and colorful, with machines and games in working order. Pizza was decent, nothing too outstanding, but a crisp buttery crust which added flavor. Don't expect gourmet restaurant quality here. It was still better than expected, the pepperoni and cheese good enough for the kids (I didn't hear a single complaint), the veggie and supreme a tasty option for the adults. In addition, the different flavored cupcakes and dipping dots were a nice treat, mainly for the little ones, the cupcakes were quite dense, but a simple dessert option. They also had extensive offerings for both soda and non-soda beverages at their self-serve fountain drink machines (including 3 diet options which is rare).

The service was outstanding, the birthday party seating area was spacious, decorated nicely with clear signage. Staff was cordial and helpful, communicated well, and was prompt with timing for food being served, the ticket blaster (free as part of the bday package), the show for birthday celebrants (yes Chuck E. is indeed a musician, so you'll see him playing the guitar on screen), and bringing out the Chuck E. Cheese mascot for the kids... the staff was even into the dance they do with Charles Entertainment Cheese, encouraging kids to have fun with it too.

My nephews and nieces (between the ages of 5-11) had a blast playing the games, but so did some of the adults. Sure there's a lot only catering to young kids (a lot of circus themed, even a unique Hollywood Reels machine), but some of the arcade games were fun for me... yes I enjoyed sitting on the vibrating and moving seat for the Jurassic Park arcade machine while my partner played, a nice massage for my back. Also, hoops and skeeball are classic games any age can enjoy, even if miniature versions. The kids had all-you-can-play cards, unlimited games for 2 hours, and one of them was gifted to us due to one of the kids being absent... so we took advantage. In turn, we gifted our tickets (loaded on the card) to the bday boy, getting him closer to his CEC wish list from the prize counter where tickets can be redeemed for fun toys and souvenirs.

Going to CEC is nostalgic for me, my parents took me and my siblings here (a different location) for bday celebrations or just for a day of fun when I was a kid... I still remember how much I enjoyed playing in the ball pit (nowadayz and here in Pinole, they have trampolines instead). So even though it's not perfect, this location does a pretty good job bringing smiles to the kids' faces, staying true to their simple and memorable slogan, and that's what matters.

      Food: 4/5
Pepperoni pizza from here tasted as good as it used to the times in the past I went there for parties and old childhood friends. A nostalgic taste. The crust has a buttery flavor to it which I like.

      Service: 5/5
The staff who helped me was incredibly helpful. She offered to bring the pizza outside to me noticing I was using crutches to walk. The pizza took about 20 minutes, which is reasonable.

      Ambiance: 4/5
Inside looked slightly emptier than usual, perhaps it gets busier later in the day? My order was to go, and I was greeting right at the door which was more than enough.

Brought my kid for a fun and festive Friday evening. Bought the complete package + salad bar. Food was delicious until who seems to be the an older manager guy chased me down to let me know that the salad wasn't free. After going back and forth that I paid for it he finally gave up but made a big, and embarrassing scene since I was given the incorrect plate by the worker. Tip: None of the workers seem to know what is going on, so please make sure to ask for a receipt when you purchase your food/ game cards in case you need proof. Don't make the mistake I did of trusting the process.

We can call it quits now. I need Chuck E. Cheese to rethink this whole process This place is sad. I did appreciate the thoroughness of checking kid/parent number matching. Clean, plenty of parking, but dysfunctional. Customer was the WORSE ! No employee seems to know what they are doing. Walk away from counters without communication. The games need some TLC, some don't work, the card swipe talked too long and eats up your play time. I'm not even going to start on how dirty and disgusting the mouse costume was. It's giving Friday Nights at Freddy's.

For what this place is, I'm super impressed. It was clean, the salad bar was fresh (nothing old or gross looking), hand sanitizer located around and staff was very friendly and accommodating. I went at noon on a weekday and it was relatively empty and maybe still clean from closing the night before.

The food...it's mostly kid food. Pizza looked great. Not a ton of healthy options but they have a sign that says they hand cut fresh produce every day for the salad bar. I hate getting wilted iceberg lettuce and was pleased with what was there. Very fresh and crisp...sorry I didn't get a picture.

Five star is to make up for the person who gave a one star because they didn't have aging, gross animatronics.... I actually really liked the clean, feels-like-new set up. The play Kidz Bop so be prepared. But it is a kids place. Now that I think about it, it does deserve this 5 star rating based on my experience today.

Personally, I'd rather do something else with my time and eat healthy BUT I have kids and it's not about me. It's about them. And they loved it. I'm just really happy it wasn't an old, crusty place. Everything, even rides and games, felt new and clean. Will definitely be taking them back.

Not like you remember when you were a kid, that's for sure! No more play structure and everything is gross. Getting a beer can take a while and can be tricky, more of a pain than anything. But the pizza ain't too bad, gotta get the stuffed crust.

Came here on a Monday at 1130 with a few kids that were off from school and the workers here were horrible. Talk about being unhappy at work. Scolded for ordering incorrectly not once but twice...ok we get it. Asked for a pitcher so we could fill it up with water, nope. Every interaction was just met with rudeness and attitude.
The food looked like they just threw it all in boxes because they were annoyed that we ordered so much.
The kids all had a blast playing in an almost empty Chuck E. Cheese but the "team" there really need to find other jobs if they are so miserable working with kids and parents.

It's a strange craving to be in the mood for the Chuck E Cheese menu, especially since the scene caters to the younger crowd. But I was extremely intrigued with their unicorn churros. 1 order of churros will get you 5 sticks for $5 in various flavors: lemon, green apple, blue raspberry, cherry(?), and original.

Flavored churros are a huge thing that I miss from the Disneyland parks, but I'm definitely not going to drive to SoCal for a churro. This was my next best thing. The texture was perfect as it was soft and fresh and even after letting it sit for a few hours it never got hard or stale. The only downside was that the sugar crystals would melt but i would take melted sugar over a hard churro.

Their sign says you have to order a minimum of 4 items for take out. I'm not sure if that was required for both call in and walk ins, but I did walk in to buy this and went ahead to get 4 orders of these =$20.

My favorite was the green apple because it actually tasted like it's flavor. The others seemed like they were colored but no flavor.

Loved it! I was skeptical at first because of the reviews but went anyway. Turns out, we had so much fun! The pizza was so good too! Surprisingly! They brush the crust w butter and season it. Yummm! Definitely going back!
