I went here right after the new owners got the place and was not impressed. That was three or four years ago, and they have hit stride.
You get an all you can eat buffet including drink at lunch for around $8. I'm guessing they have about eight sections plus soup and dessert in a sealed container at the end.
Just try small amounts of several things the first time to see what you like. I love the meat on a stick, shrimp, rice and the spicy dishes, Spicy is rather mild. Another really good dish is the peanut butter chicken.
You can get a carry out box for the buffet if you do not want to eat in. Or, you can have a meal made to order for pick up or can wait.
The family owners are nice, Mom locked her keys in her car, and the lady drove her home to get the spare. You don't get service like that many places.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Oct 13, 2014Previous reviewChina Buffet has new owners. The food was cold and a lot of it tasted off. I think they saved the lunch left overs. I came home hungry, because I couldn't force down grease soaked potatoes and cold beef.
I must be the last to discover our nice little, local Chinese restaurant, because only two other people came in for dinner.
The other woman asked where their health department certificate was. The lady at the counter said they were new so did not have one yet. That sounded fishy to me.
Almost forgot. They had the TV blaring loud enough so they could hear it in the kitchen. Gotta love the news cranked up in the middle of dinner.May 28, 2014Previous reviewSmall batch, all you can eat buffet run by a family. It is Americanized on flavors which is fine. Food is tasty and filling. Family members are very nice.
Rice and noodles with a variety of meat mixed choices and usually a vegetarian mix. Shrimp sometimes. Sometimes a doughnut type dessert. Egg rolls. Meat kabobs. A variety of other options.
Eat in or carry out.

Used to be my favorite Chinese restaurant to visit before the new management took over. The quality of the food has slightly declined. While making a takeout order, it was like a 14-15 year old kid that made me repeat my order 5 times. Walking in to pick up my order, the buffet food looked dry as if it's been sitting out for a while. Surprisingly all the food I ordered was there. The General tso's chicken, buffalo wings and broccoli with garlic sauce had zero spiciness to it. It tasted like sesame chicken and regular chicken wings. I would have to be really hungry to return/order from here again.

Ventured out today just to see what was around in the area and got hungry. Was deciding between the two bbq places and China Garden but because I'm a Chinese cuisine lover, I chose this place. For around $8 they offer a lunch buffet which is minimal but featured everything I love so I didn't mind. The food is delicious, honestly. Although some of the food seemed as if it was old and sat for awhile, they did refill it with fresh food. Also, another good thing I enjoyed was free soda refills (a lot of Chinese restaurants around here-not including the big buffets- only have bottled drinks). The woman at the counter was also very attentive and kind which is welcoming and makes the atmosphere nice.
Personal fave foods featured at the buffet: crab rangoon, shrimp rolls, pork fried rice, sesame chicken, and lo mein. All of the food was perfect. If I'm around the area ever again, I'd most definitely return.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Andy Z.Cleveland, NC055Apr 24, 2018Updated review

I've been to many Chinese buffet restaurants and this is by far the worst. Barely any food on the Buffet and you could tell it's been there a loooong time. Just about everything my daughter and I are was awful. The rice was the only good part. The lady working the front was not friendly at all. The place needs a complete make over. The walls were filthy and there was no air conditioning I just pray we don't get sick from eating here.. I am completely shocked this place stays in business.

Went in for the buffet. They asked me what i wanted on the buffett instead of just bringing out fresh dishes. If that was the case i would have just saved my money and order a meal. Food was cold and it took 20 minutes to put a dish on the buffett. Dont waste your time or money here.

The buffet keeps going up in price, even though the quality has been getting drastically worse over the last few years. I'm done. Today was the last time. Yes, it's sad I've been multiple times for takeout, but there isn't much in this area.
