First time eating at this restaurant this week. I ordered chicken tacos, rice and beans. Meat was seasoned and good. I enjoyed my tacos. The watermelon juice was good too!

Inside this supermarket is a full restaurant with ample seating. It's larger than I've seen at some standalone taquerias--and tastes better than some, too! Yelp needs to add separate entries, I suggested a new place, I can't do much more than that.
Junior Super Burrito is as large as a regular burrito at some other taquerias. The rice and beans--the base of any Mexican food--is good. The overall flavor is fantastic. They add salsa AND pico de gallo. I've had both asada and pollo, and each are #YumBalls.
Jugó de zanahoria (carrot juice) is so fresh and real that it has grainy carrot grinds in the bottom.
It's so good that I walk over every time I go to the nearby auto dealer.
Bathrooms are clean. Plenty of parking. Service can be speedy as expected or s-l-o-w if you go near closing time.
P.S. The rest of the grocery store seems excellent, too.

A nice hot bowl of Pozole with pork on a cold and rainy Sunday afternoon.
To my knowledge they only serve it on the weekends. It is very flavorful and it came with large portions of meat. One thing, the line at the hot food counter may be longer than normal on Sunday's. Just saying...Helpful 10Thanks 0Love this 11Oh no 0Jun 13, 2021Previous reviewYes, prices are somewhat higher than they were a year or two ago. But let's face facts, they are like that almost everywhere you go now days. During this pandemic many businesses have lost their foothold and have gone out of business. So, one thing for certain is that when they close their doors as so many have, a part of our comfort zone goes with it. Raising prices to remain competitive is an unfortunate, but necessary step to keep the business up and running. Drive around town and take notice of all the places that have closed their doors in the last two years. A very large supermarket called Food Source which is owned by Raley's just closed last Friday! I have no doubt that many of those customers will eventually shop here. Another good thing about this place other than is location, is that you can sit down and have a bite to eat. Now, I did buy a regular burrito carne asada in the taqueria but to be honest, the was beef was a little on the burnt side, but than can be easily resolved. As for the supermarket, it's always well maintained and the service is very fast. Also the fruit and vegetable isle ,appeared to be well stocked. I also noticed that whoever is in charge of this area must love their job because you can tell that they make a noticeable effort in keeping the stock well rotated. I don't speak spanish and I always get along just fine with everyone in the store. The employees here are very nice respectful and professional. Many people live and work near this location and may or may not have the luxury of personal transportation. They either walk, catch a ride with a friend or take a bus. Whatever your mode of transportation is. Supermarkets like this are here for us.

Wow, what a gem! I had always driven past this market and never actually stopped in. Today, a buddy of mine told me that they have a restaurant inside with fresh made meats and Mexican plates.
So we stopped in, ordered some super carne asada burritos, an order of super nachos, and a few of my favorite drinks, Jarritos and horchata. First off, the chef took her time to very carefully make the dishes and add just the right amount of salsas, guacamole and extra toppings. It wasn't a rushed process whatsoever.
Secondly, the food was very fresh and flavorful. The carne asada steak was nicely marinated. The burritos were rich and hearty, and the home made salsa was soo good, I had to take some home. The super nachos were also a great plate to share amongst friends.
The three of us were equally impressed and satisfied. Beyond that, the supermarket was large, clean, fully stocked and the employees were friendly and accommodating. I'll absolutely be back soon!

Lousy service and the food quality is very bland. The portions are skimpy too- go to another taqueria. This place needs to improve.
Got a super burrito that was cold and had no taste -lots of rice and little else.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Janet J.San Mateo, CA0325Dec 4, 2023
This was tonights dinner. I drove over for what i consider decent mexican food. Boy was i wrong. This is the saddest torta i have ever received here. The guy making this smashed the bread with the panini press. And gave me the brownest guacamole. He shouldnt be making peoples food with no regard for quality. And chaves should have fresh ingredients and quality control. Would not recommend this location for mexican food. A waste of money. This was 13 dollars. Yuck

The food is ok
But not only that is very expensive they give a really small portion of the food they even weight the meat if is a little piece more i mean little they take out of the burrito or the dinner plate the owner is really tight I will never came back here (cheap busyness and expensive)
I don't recommend this place I hope the cheap owner see this.

One thing I love about living in Hayward is the vast amount of Mexican places to go to. This supermarket has been a go-to since I was little, beginning with the first location off Tennyson. My dad and I always get super burritos and super quesadillas while my mom gets super nachos. All food is made fresh to order. Always consistent and this location the staff has always been nice. Yeah inflation got this place to go up in price, too, but at least the food is still worth it!

Excellent selection of products, fantastic meat department, good produce and pastries. Parking lot is horrible, people driving wrong direction and parking crooked, over the lines. Great in-house restaurant with a wide variety of foods to eat there or takeout.
