One of the most popular wineries in Woodinville, this place deserves it. While they did increase the wine tasting prices from $25 to $30 for non-members like me, I still had an enjoyable experience. My first visit was a few years back, and this visit still strikes a nice charm. This time, we also got some food, from the flight bites to pair with the wines for the standard tasting to the charcuterie board, all of which were fairly decent. The focus here is more on the wine, which I enjoyed a good amount of them. You start off with complimentary brut, then they hand you 4 small flasks you can pour the wines into that brut wine cup to continue onwards with the tasting.
Flight bites were not really worth the $18, and the charcuterie at $30 is a bit steep, though there is a lot of meat there. Nevertheless, my friend and I had an enjoyable experience and with ample seating, we never felt rushed throughout our relaxing experience. Just make sure to make a reservation in advance, as this place is fairly popular and can be booked out if you plan too last minute. However, you are forced to pay 1 pairing per person, so you could chance walk-in outside of that, or just focus on this winery for this day's visitation, as I would always tend to share 1 pairing with a friend so we could get more variety.Helpful 2Thanks 2Love this 2Oh no 1 - Aug 17, 2024Updated review4 check-ins
MID-SIZE OUTDOOR CONCERT VENUE AND VINEYARD. CLOSE TO SEATTLE.
This is really a great place to see a concert. My wife and I have seen James Taylor, The Steve Miller Band and, most recently, the Stray Cats. We also have tickets for The Beach Boys and Winona Judd. You can sit on the grass or buy tickets for some of the reserved seats. We love the Reserved Lawn seating, as the aisles are really wide and the seats are very comfortable with lots of Leg room. And they are not much more expensive than the general admission tickets.
The winery sells glasses and bottles of wine right there. The staff is very friendly and members get a discount! There are also plenty of food venues, so you need not bring a picnic basket, although you are allowed to, but be advised: The first time we went, we brought some salami and cheese. Of course, we packed some cheese spreaders. Well, these are considered weapons! "Watch out, he's got a cheese spreader!" Of course, they were confiscated so we had no way to cut out cheese! LOL
That said, we learned our lesson and have enjoyed the venue ever
Since. We left our home in Los Angeles four years ago and have been searching for a substitute for The Hollywood Bowl. Well, we've found it in the form of this wonderful winery venue. So catch some tickets before they are all gone!
Excelsior!

This was a great concert. He played all his hits and then some. And what a great venue! There are several levels (and price points) of tickets you can buy for these concerts. The most popular is Lawn Seating. You basically bring your own chair or blanket and find a spot. Best to get there early for this kind of seating. Also. The lines for lawn seating are very long.
Personally I prefer assigned seating in the Reserved Lawn Area. The seats are cloth fold up chairs. Very comfortable and spaced out nicely with lots of elbow and leg room. You also get a special entrance and avoid the long long line for the lawn sitters. These seats are also central to the stage and just behind the grey reserved seating.
There is also VIP seating in the back of the house. These folk have their own bar and bathrooms. Too rich for my blood.
You can bring your own food but no alcohol. You may of course purchase wine by the glass or full bottles of wine from the winery. Tip; full bottles are the best deal and you get a discount if you become a member of the winery.
If you didn't bring your own food, no worries, there are several venues on site to choose from including, Poke bowels, burgers, and even pizza!
All told we had a great time. Spacious seating, good food, and great wine! What more could you ask for? And for you SoCal transplants, this is a great replacement for the Hollywood Bowel!

We recently came for John Legend's concert. It was good, my wife and I enjoyed our time. The ambiance was pretty chill, we were in the grass area where you can bring your own comfortable chairs, blankets, non-alcoholic drinks and snacks.
Some tips:
1. Plan your parking ahead of time, for this concert there was limited onsite parking for $50 and additional parking further (with shuttle service) for $20. The nearby fields also offered parking for $20 towards donations.
2. Go early, depending on where you park there is some walking to through crowds and 5-10min walk to get from the main door to the security line. The security line for us took about 30min. No TSA pre.
3. Make sure to go to their website and checkout what you can and cannot bring with you as this will make the process much smoother.
4. Plan for the weather, it was hot while the sun was out, but it got cold for the last hour for the show.Helpful 1Thanks 2Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sep 16, 20241 check-in
Great place for a tasting, light snack or lunch, and or a picnic on the grounds. We were visiting WA and was invited here for wine tasting. Service was great, wine was lovely. Food is ordered separately and was also lovely try the cheese board and pizza!

Great setting for wine tasting with beautiful grounds. The good spots require reservations. Tastings are 4 for $30.

Actually more like a 3.5 stars. But I didn't get full experience bc I was just here for the Beabadoobee concert, so idk about the actual winery part.
That being said, beautiful scenery, very organized, lots of staff directing people.
However, I think their stage could have been taller and wider, especially for how large the crowd area was. Also a big screen above the stage showing the singer would have been perfect!! Bc it was sometimes hard to see the stage (I had lawn tickets but still, I should be able to see)

I loved this winery!! I honestly had low expectations for the Woodinville wineries, having grown up with Napa Valley as my standard, but I thought Chateau Ste Michelle was amazing and comparable to some of the ones I've been to in Napa.
The grounds were beautiful, and on our walk to the tasting room we passed by groups of people just sitting on the grassy lawns and having a picnic and just enjoying the sunshine. The indoor tasting room was also pretty as well. Our server was nice and friendly, and I also thought that the wine itself in our Feature Flight tasting was really good, with generous pours.
Overall, I had an excellent experience, and it won't be long before I'm back to try their other selections!

Took a group here for our first Ste. Michelle experience. We rented an igloo, which came with two wines of your choice from a menu of 6 options and a charcuterie plate. You can also order any other wine they have in stock for 20% off. The menu they have the day-of was better than the pre-order menu in my opinion.
Despite notifying the front reservations of our arrival, we didn't have anyone to seat us for at least 5 mins so we sat ourselves. Once you get your first order in, you will likely never see your server again. I think they expect you to text the number if you need anything and want to give you space and privacy; that's the best advice I can give to anyone wanting to do the igloo.
Jonah was an amazing server and it was a cool weekend activity. If you're looking to do the igloo I recommend a cloudy or rainy day, unless you want to be incubated.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dec 23, 2023
Chateau Ste. Michelle is a beautiful winery with charming grounds that were built in 1912. They have a large open space with a lawn area, stage venue, and visitor center where you can spend some time exploring and walking around. Inside the tasting room are two floors of spaces to try wine tastings.
We went to the tasting room and were offered a variety of different wine tasting options. Out of all of them we chose the col solare tasting ($45 per person). Col Solare is a partnership between Washington winemakers and Italian winemakers and an institution that has been around for 600+ years. Together they created a variety of cabernet sauvignon wines made 100% in Washington. We tried the 2018, 2019, and 2020 wines which were all great and our favorite was the 2019. Our server was great (never got his name) in providing information and history of each of the wines.
It was a beautiful entrance while driving in and it's a great place for some wine and hang out.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Feb 28, 2024
Came here for a flight tasting and loved it! Got a few dishes to snack on during the tasting. Our waitress was sweet and certainly saved the best wine for last! I really enjoyed the beet salad, especially the goat cheese! You could tell they used fresh ingredients and loved they used local products.
The space for the tasting room is really big and I like how spread apart the tables are.
The whole estate is beautiful and well kept. I can't wait to come back in the summer to see all the flowers. All the buildings are close together and are easy to find.
They host concerts here which is on my bucket list! It's a great place for a date or with a friend! Truly a great winery!
