If you like a good curated set of old books and/or Contemporary Art, do yourself a favor and make the drive to this gallery. Our entire family enjoyed spending time sifting through the shelves. Also be sure to check out the one dollar bargain shed next-door.

Corea is a beautiful spot in Maine, and, other than looking at pretty fishing boats, Chapter Two is a great reason to go there. Featuring works by local artists (hooked rugs, scarves, photographs, paintings, rock art and more than I could write here), it feels a lot like stopping by and visiting a friend with a really cool house. You can poke around without feeling intrusive and it seems the people running the place are genuinely happy to have you there. The back building is full of books and antiques while the front building holds the artwork. A seasonal gallery is located in a side building featuring even more artwork. I'll be back to see the new stuff (and to see what of the old stuff has sold).

Dan, appreciating art from Downeast Maine and beyond in the side building gallery.
Outside the gallery. I didn't take a picture of the building because there were cars in front. But who doesn't love a bait bag?

Nice place that is more of a co-op of local artists so it has something for everyone on every budget. Three buildings in total with the back one having used books. Good rainy day activity (or sunny day)!
