One word - amazing!

Good food. Good price. Good service. Amazing!

Skipped out of Florida and was enjoying the change in scenery. Had to return for the great breakfast. Walking up and there was a short line. Thankfully most people were picking up food. No problem with the wait since it gave us time to review the menu. By the time we were seated we were still debating between two or three options each. Sis got the chicken and waffles while I had some breakfast bowl. The food was both tasty and super filling. Vegan comfort food done well!

The food is a bit overpriced. The customer service is so-so. A review below said the diner was opened for indoor dining, but it's only five seats... So try and book a reservation online... If you can.
The burger had little flavor, and the fries were surprisingly soggy.
Overall, I would say Seasoned Vegan in Harlem is still the best.

COVID report: Champs is takeout only at the moment, but they have some outdoor tables where you can sit after ordering at the window. No heat or coverings/very casual.

This spot has been on my list forever and it didn't let me down. The Mac and cheese and steak chimichurri sandwich were both amazing, and I had leftovers for later.

Definitely will be back for more "brunch" foods one day, like the French toast!

This place was mobbed last winter when my friends and I visited (pre-covid). It wasn't really what we were expecting (I think we were expecting more healthy, maybe??) and so the food wasn't really my thing. HOWEVER, I can see how it would be good for people who have a taste for this kind of food.

The portions were very generous and I'm sure if you're vegan or looking for a meat substitute treat meal, this place would be great!

The area is good so lots of places around to grab a drink before or after.

I was in Brooklyn yesterday, and it was the choice between this restaurant and another. I decided to go with this one based on comfort food cravings. The menu is vast, but I went with mac & cheese, Philly cheesesteak & their spiced pumpkin milkshake. Everything is vegan. Everything was delicious.

If you've read any of my other reviews, you would know that I absolutely love mac & cheese in all varieties. I'm not a vegan yet, but I'm very open minded and I've tried vegan mac & cheese from a few different establishments. This one was OK. I did enjoy it, the portion size was nice. Mind you, all of the food took me three different settings to finish.  The mac & cheese, for my personal taste, lacked a certain zip or tang that would come from possibly adding sharp cheddar, cream cheese or sour cream in the cheese sauce, but that's more of a personal taste.  

The cheesesteak was phenomenal. I could only eat half, & the second half was just as good the next day. It had a certain kick in there, I'm not sure if it was the vegan mayo, but it was delicious. I usually don't go for bell peppers on my cheesesteak however they are cut in superfine strips. And it went well with the sandwich.

The milkshake was also delicious, it had a lot of pumpkin spice flavor and a good drizzle of caramel, I think. I definitely enjoyed that on my ride back to Connecticut. Again, the menu is pretty extensive, so I would definitely return to try some other dishes. They are only doing takeout. It took about 20 minutes from the time I placed my order online until the time it was ready for pick-up.

Their milkshakes are unreal and addicting. You almost always want a second.

Their "Cheesesteaks" and "Buffalo wings" are my favorite.

Very disappointed that I came to this establishment as a tourist and they did not have seats available because of break times. A bit absurd to open at 1pm and stop seating at 2:15! There was no outdoor dining options and I was told to eat at a local park where they had picnic tables. I thought it was a jokes. This isn't the neighborhood to just walk around and eat outside. I'm never coming back here the least the could do was definitely let me sit for 30 mins to eat.

The only thing that I have nitpick is the fact that they don't have any indoor seating and can't get the regular service. I know it's still not fully open but using a lot of plastic containers and utensils to go sit outside,  causes more pollution which I'm sure that's what the majority vegans are trying to avoid.  Now let's talk about the delicious food that they are cooking.  I'm not a vegan nor a vegetarian, my little brother is and he wanted me to try this place since he is strongly passionate about saving the planet.  I order the "philly cheesesteak sandwich" and my oh my I was amazed.  It had a lot of flavor that I forgot it wasn't made out of beef.  The banana pancakes were awesome and tasteful. The breakfast burrito was packed with soy-rizo and potato and very filling. the cauliflower wings were not bad at all and had a strong kick. I definitely recommend this place if you are a vegan or not.

I came to Champs for the first time when visiting my sister a few years ago. I've been thinking of Champs ever since! Finally got to take my husband here and it's lived up to the hype!! My husband isn't a vegan, but he said the Mac and cheese was some of the best he's ever had (he added bacon and one of the other options). I had the mozzarella sticks. They were pricey... but given that I'm lactose intolerant, this is the first time I've been able to eat mozzarella sticks in YEARS. It was so good to my soul! The cookie dough milkshakes... man, I will be dreaming about that milkshake until I'm back in NY. The husband and I both said it was one of the best milkshakes we've ever had. These are just a few of the items we ordered, but we loved everything. Not a healthy vegan spot. But if you want vegan comfort food, Champs will NOT disappoint!!!

I must also add, I appreciate their COVID functionality. Minimal contact, easy ordering, and easy pickup.

Now, let me go workout lol. The food was worth it

Everything at champs is beyond belief amazing!!! The chefs here really know what they are doing. If you have the chance to try the pancakes here you definitely should. They are sooooo fluffy and soft. I've only tried the cookie dough and cinnamon swirl but the other flavors sound amazing too. I preferred the cinnamon swirl pancakes more than the cookie dough ones but both were super yummy. The cinnamon swirl ones come with candied pecans and they added such amazing texture and flavor!

I also got to try their chickn n waffles, the waffle was a perfectly fluffy but firm waffle just how I wanted it to be! The chicken though! Seasoning was on point!! And the outer layer was so crispy. Loved it!

The shake was very good too I really enjoy the ice cream they use :)

Every time I visit New York from California I make it a mission to go to Champs before leaving, and there's a good reason why! I highly recommend to everyone I know to go here and I highly recommend going if you ever have the chance to also!
