I have come to this restaurant on many occasions over the last year. It is a wonderful haven of Cuban and Caribbean flavors with a fusion of American cuisine. The ambience and atmosphere of this restaurant is excellent with the theme of the menu.
The customer service is excellent and if you are not happy they will do their best and go above and beyond to make sure that your culinary experience is great.
The food for the most part is good but they have some very great hits and occasional misses. The same can be said for the drinks. It depends on who's making it which it shouldn't be and should be consistent from person to person. My friends and I have specifically for food and drink items and depending on the day the food will be fine but the drinks would be subpar or really good. I will still come back for the oxtails... and vegan options!!!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jun 17, 2018
Full disclosure, I'm sure this place is better than I found it. Went for brunch and it had 2 tragic flaws right from the start.
1) For first 60-90 minutes, there was one server. She didn't seem bothered by that so didn't serve with frustration, but she also didn't seem to have a lot of urgency at the same time.
2) They don't have a basic cup of coffee. I understand it's a Cuban-inspired restaurant, but to only have a shot of espresso or the espresso with milk drink without the basic coffee choice, why have brunch?
Ordered the Andy Benedict. Basically a play off a Cuban sandwich which I love so it was solid. But it was missing something. So dry. Maybe it was the lack of coffee but I didn't notice it was missing hollandaise until I saw the same order going to another table.
I'm guessing this is a fun place for dinner and drinks. Brunch was a disappointment. I've been to it's sister venues and they're solid so take this with a grain of salt.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 5, 2016
As you walk in you immediately feel the strong caribean pull! great decoration and ambiance very elegant, sort of a downtown feel. Truly love the place. You hear the cheerfullness of great salsa and caribean music in the backgrown. For a short time i felt as if i was down in the islands. The staff was always very happy and helpful. I order for appetizer the 3 empanadas (chicken, beeef N cheese) when they arrived they were warm cruchy and very traditional. The chicken was well seasonedbut bland, the beef was similar pretty plain but a tasty treat nevertheless. The cheese empanada was my favorite of all 3. I found it intresting that the sauce it was served with was creamy and mustary...not a fan of the sauce.
For my main course I order the Pollo a la Planch ($15) with sides of congri and fried yucca. The chicken was grilled on flat top grill n it had basic almost bland taste. The congri is a rice n black beans dish that is a cuban tradion and often accompanies our meat dishes and it was very moist, tasty and very well seasoned. The yuca was fried and seemed fresh it came with a garlic topping...it was delish...all in all I feel as thought this restaurant is doing its best to create dishes that would apeal to the southen palette opose to its traditional roots. Has and amazing bar and dancing facility so It is worth the trip!!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Elizabeth F.Chattanooga, TN1521616Jun 2, 2016
THANK YOU!!!!
What a wonderful experience at Ceniza Restaurant. Food was out of this world, service was outstanding! You guys are truly doing an outstanding job!
One observation to clients reading all comments. If you notice all excellent ratings vs low score ratings and make note, some are ratings from when the restaurant was not even open. It clearly indicates you have individuals out there fabricating fake reviews.
I truly recommend the restaurant; bring your family and friends and experience atmosphere and great food.
We are definitely coming back over and over again!

My wife and I chose this place for Sunday brunch and we loved it.
The atmosphere is open aired Cuban bar and restaurant. Downstairs has a bar and the restaurant and upstairs also has a bar, pool table and cigar shop/lounge.
They don't offer full entrees before 4 p.m. So we had sandwiches and a few drinks. I ordered the pan con lechon and my wife had the midnight lechon.
Both are roast pork based sandwiches with other goodies piled on top. Sandwiches were delicious and portions were big. We could have shared.
Both came with fried plantain chips that I thought were excellent. Crispy but slightly salty and sweet.
The wait staff was friendly and took care of us. Food was a little slow but they were busy.
Overall, we were very pleased with the food and drinks. This is a very welcomed addition to Bradmore Lane. We'll be back again!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brit H.Atlanta, GA05232May 18, 2016
A great addition to Cambridge sq
They are still working out the bugs of opening a new place.
Their flavors need some tlc
Lacking in punch. I really hope they step it up because I would easily be a regular. Their ceviche is very good! However their steak sandwich is sorely lacking in tenderness and flavor. The garlic tasted raw.
The "Cuban bread" looked more like a squished hot dog bun and I've had real Cuban bread so they are trying to fake it for sure.
In giving them 4 starts because I have Faith they will step it up!
Their drinks are pretty goodHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Thank you for dining with us! We really appreciate your feedback. Our bread is definitely not fake. We take great pride in shipping in our bread twice a week from our great friends at La Estrella Bakery in Miami. We never mislead our customers. Thank you again! Please come back and join us.

Great experience today. Friendly and attentive staff. Was happily surprised to taste the flavors I associate with Cuban food-garlic, cumin, onion, etc...
The cocktails are delicious. Can't wait to return.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kim H.Chickamauga, GA173652Jul 1, 2018
Cambridge Square???? Huh? Thought I would find an overpriced Bahama Breeze. Surprise, It's not!! It is pretty expensive but seems to be worth it every time I've been in there. I had the San Jaun pasta, which is part of the seasonal menu, and I can't seem to venture away from it. Delicious.

Ceniza se la comió! Loose Translation, "Ceniza hits it out of the park!"
Authentic Cuban based meals with creative twists makes your stomach (and eyes) feel like you were feasting in Miami! The rabo encendido (braised ox tail) was phenomenal. Great ambiance, great food, great drinks, great service! Chattanooga and Cuban food do mix!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
