Is it fair to review a golf course after an early-December round? I think so. Give the maintenance workers a ton of credit for putting this course in the best shape that could reasonably be expected at this time of year. Clear fairways and greens with minimal leaves, with generous tee and flag locations to make up for the loss of distance through the cold dense winter air.

Had a very fun round today. Not my best round, as the cold affects distance and green consistency alike. No matter, I'll gladly save my more serious rounds for April - September.

(As if any golf I play could be considered 'serious.')

The real fun was in basically having the course to ourselves. I mean, we literally saw one other dude on the course today, and he was five holes ahead of us. To be expected for this time of year. I tell you though, once you get your bones moving, a 43 degree day without any wind is not the worst golf weather by any means.

Like many courses in CT, it's open year round provided there's no snow on the ground! Have some fun for their off-season price of $25 a round (or $33 with a cart).
