Cat's Automotive Repair

My boss referred me to Cat. I am so glad I went to him. He is one of the most HONEST mechanics I have ever met. Most mechanics just want your money so they will tell you that you need everything under the sun done to your vehicle. I didn't need half of what I was told needed to be done to my car and Cat was honest with me about that instead of taking my other estimate and just charging me for everything that was listed.

I had an issue with one of my tires that was very dangerous for my children and I to even be in the car and driving in. I dropped off the car with Cat around 8am and he had it done and back to me by 3pm. WHAAAAT????? Same day service? Who does that? ON NEW YEARS EVE?!?!?!

I will never in my life use any other mechanic. Cat won me over on the first shot.

Cat's team fixed the AC, in no time just when we got this heat wave!

I've been taking my cars to Wayne Carter for over 25 starting with a 68 cutlass My Volkswagen daily driver And my 69 El Camino. Wayne knows more about cars than anybody I've ever known And I worked on cars. If you want a fair trusted repair go to Wayne you won't be let down.

Single Mom's....Ladies.....Anyone for that matter...don't be afraid to take your car in to be serviced. if you want your vehicle to run for a long time - you have to have it serviced properly. I won't bring my car anywhere else but to Cat's Automotive.

Being a female who worked in the automotive service department writing service, dispatching, cashier/warranty etc. for many years, this is the place to go and trust.

I won't go into personal details but if it wasn't for Cat's, I wouldn't have a car right now & because of them, I do again. They are more than honest & will advise you to make the best decision.
I can go on forever - but love Cat & James at Cat's Automotive.

In a stressful time where I've been having a lot of car problems, Cat has been very helpful and supportive whenever I've taken my cars to his shop. He tries to explain to me what's wrong with my car and what needs to done for it to be fixed. Super honest, and him and James really cared for my safety when it came to driving my car.

I would recommend this place to anyone in town. They truly are dedicated to serving this community, and with a lot of dirty business in this industry, they are truly the diamond in the rough. Thank you Cat and James for all your help! You guys are the best.

My relationship started with Cat a few years back. My employer was paying for services on my car through a trade program and Cat was the mechanic the trade program recommended.

I was very pleased with his work at that time, but maybe did not take as much notice because I was not paying for the repair myself.

However, I have now come to Cat a few times to have repairs done. All of these paid for out of MY pocket. (Paying more attention now, LOL)

I cannot begin to express how highly I recommend Cat's Automotive for ALL of your repairs!!!

As you can see on YELP he has a 5 star rating!!! This is an honest and fair assessment of the service and care you will receive. No matter if you are just getting an oil change or a major service.

To be completely honest I have tried to shop around for services I needed (only because the distance to Cat's is far for me) for better pricing, but I NEVER find a better estimate than what Cat gives me and to make it even better, on multiple occasions he has come in under estimate.

I have never met a mechanic I trust more. Time and time again he has proven he is just an extremely honest, stand up guy, who will not screw you over or try to up sell you on stuff you don't need.

He truly cares for his clients and he shows it repeatedly in his actions.

Cat has a 100% loyal customer in me and I will always bring my car here for EVERY service I need from now on, no matter the size of the job.

Recently, my s/o was having major, multiple issues with his vehicle. He had been to 2 different shops already and was told he should just get a new car because his was just falling apart. He was very nervous to drive his car based on what the other shop had told him. So much so that he had gone to dealerships and had already gotten the financing to purchase a new vehicle.

He was hesitant, a new car is a huge commitment... the problem was he did not trust going to another mechanic. Who can you trust???

I suggested Cat... He had seen on multiple occasions Cat really took care of me. So he called and scheduled an appointment...

Long story short.... Cat was able to make the repairs to the vehicle in a timely manner and WAY under budget. Most importantly... because of Cat's calm demeanor and patience he was able to assure my s/o that the car was safe and would last him many years to come.

Cat now has a 100% loyal customer in my s/o as well.

Bottom Line: If you need a trustworthy, reliable and superior mechanic take your vehicle to Cat and his team.

I recently had a need for rear brakes on an older but totally useable Nissan Quest. I contacted Cat's for an estimate and as to whether they could help. I was able to have the brake job done the following morning; I dropped the car off at 8 am and it was completed by the end of the day. It was a no hassle, job well done and Cat even beat his original estimate on the cost. I definitely recommend Cat's to anyone who has a similar need. No complaints whatsoever!

I moved here out of state and my starter pin went bad. Not being able to do my research, I towed my car to this shop to get it repaired.

They quoted me and it was about ~$100 more than it should have been but being in a bind I agreed to it. When I went to pick my car up, I knew my car wasn't in the loveliest of shapes and wasn't too surprised to get a list of recommended maintenance items.

The biggest one I knew I should take care of was an oil leak. So I booked a time to do that, change my drive belt, and also do an oil change.

When I got back into my car, my check engine light was on...which was not the case before my car went there.

Surprise surprise, when I went in the second time to get everything done, I got an updated listed which now included replacing the NOC sensor.

The one that was working just fine before I went in. And I pointed that out and the guy just shrugged at me. One that needs to work in order to register my car. Was ~$150 to replace!

On top of that, they didn't change my oil and my leak still leaked!!!

Convinced they did something to my sensor on purpose.

These people are not honest. Not the people you want to work long-term with over your car's lifetime.

My first time coming here was in 2017 to have my spark plugs changed on my 2013 Honda Pilot and the price was right.
My 2nd time was in last month to have my brakes and struts replaced on my Pilot. Mr. Cats is very accommodating, though I thought it was going to cost an arm and a few legs. But he said Honda usually tells everyone to change struts at 100,000 miles, he inspected them and they were fine. Lol, he did tell me I was a speeder because I cracked my rotors and pads :( I expected over $1,000 because after all this is the Bay Area and I have a truck, but I was wrong

Since then, I recommended him to my husband. Today once again, the prices was affordable after replacing his Acura front and rear brakes and rotors.

I truly respect his honesty, affordability, and quality service
