I had picked up food from Caruso's about a year ago when I first moved into town. I received coupons in the mail and my wife and I were discussing why we hadn't eaten there since and really couldn't remember why we hadn't ordered again so we decided to give it a shot.
We got the pizza home and as soon as we bit into the pizza we realized why we hadn't ordered again- the pizza had an overpowering taste of oregano or Italian spice in general And the toppings were hidden under a coat of leathery cheese - on the plus side the cheese fries were very hot and cheesy and the hot wings were very good - I would go there for the fries and wings but the pizza wasn't so great. I will try it again and will tell them to leave the dry herbs and spices offHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Natacha F.Hughesville, PA03211Aug 28, 2023
We pass Caruso's on our way thru the area every week and decided to give them a try for takeout. Ordered a Cesar salad and a cheesesteak. The salad was good, the cheesesteak was so so. They use homemade bread which could be good but I don't think it stands up well for a cheesesteak. There was supposed to be sauce, but if not for the red on the bread. I couldn't tell.
Husband ordered manicotti, meatballs and corn nuggets. Corn nuggets were tasty but served with red sauce, which is a little weird. The meatballs were a good size but tough (not tender). The red sauce was very thin. Manicotti was ok but again the sauce was VERY thin. Might try them again for pizza out of convenience.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Alison B.Lebanon, PA1147Apr 22, 2020
Been coming here since I was a kid, and with the exception of what my family calls "the dark years" when Pepe wasn't in charge, I have never been dissatisfied.

I moved to the area last summer and have been trying different places for carry out pizza. I caught the glimpse of a sign driving between Lititz and Myerstown. To me it's pleasantly situated in the middle of nowhere. Hopping place with busy dining room and take out. The had my pizza ready when I got there and I was rung up and was out of there in no time. Place appeared clean and organized. The pizza, a neapolitan, was topped generously and cooked perfectly. Great crust. The place that is closer to home is skimpy on toppings and has slower service and costs more. The joint that's close to work had soggy crust and folded the pizza over to fit it in the box. I'll recommend Caruso's and will certainly be back. So far this is the best pizza I've found in the area.

Excellent pizza crust. Salads are always fresh & they give a generous amount. Service is courteous!

This restaurant has a very large Italian menu, unusual for a small town. Everything is cooked fresh, to order. Right on Main St. With enough parking. Closed in Mondays.
