My favorite seafood boil spot in town! The king crab here is the BOMB! I couldn't recommend it more. I would pick this place over juicy crab any day! I kill atleast 2pounds just by myself so come prepared to spend some money to get full, it's definitely worth every dollar! The garlic noodles here are the cherry on top
Service is good, we've never had a bad experience, i recommend calling to see the wait the weekends! As for the ambiance, it's super chill vibes.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 27, 20241 check-in
It was pretty much a full house coming in - thankfully, we were able to get seated immediately. Interestingly enough, although there were a lot of people it wasn't very loud in there. They had tv and music playing but it was so light. It was very nice to have the background noise but be able to talk to people without shouting.
Service was great. Joy was our server and she was definitely a joy to have. She was so friendly, happy, and attentive. She made recommendations and after ordering them even followed up to see if we enjoyed it.
Food
1lb shrimp head on cap't loui in extra hot. It comes with corn and potato. Sauce was good flavor wise but where it could improve is more of it, spicier (considering it was a extra hot), and hotter temperature wise.
Wings basket
Surprised they did not have any wing seasoning options but offered fry seasoning. I enjoyed the lemon pepper fries and they give you a lot of it but not sure the basket is worth getting overall for what is given.Helpful 2Thanks 2Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 16, 20241 check-in
Food: BUSSIN! I think this is the best seafood boil I've had. Boil is so spicy n juicy i get scared it might squirt into my eye and leave me blind and I can't write Yelp reviews anymore But luckily I make sure to turn away when cracking to protect myself I initially didn't wanna go here bc my LDL came back high the other day at the Dr, but after trying it out, idc about my cholesterol anymore; I can die happy.
Service: SWEETEST WAITRESS. I think her name is Suzy but not sure. The whole staff actually were nice. We were so annoying and needy. I asked for bibs, crab crackers, and gloves. The gloves were actually on our table disguised in a condom-shaped looking packets btw so don't look stupid like I did.
Ambiance: clean place. Tables are lined with paper so we can guiltlessly be messy and chow down like animals. One critique tho: change yalls music!! Romantic music don't belong here when my face is stuffed w oil and corn stuck in between my teeth.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 21, 2024
I've been looking for a place with flavorful seafood boils and here it is! With 4 people, we got 4 lb with snow crab, shrimp, and mussels in the Hot spice level. The sides were potatoes, corn, and garlic bread. It definitely was spicy but not so crazy that you can't eat it. The seafood just melts in your mouth. My favorite was the mussels. We get bibs and gloves. After being stuffed, we still had 1/2 lb of food left. Calamari was not that great, it should be crispy and instead it was soft. Service was ok because there really isn't much for them to do. Definitely will be back.

My friend took me this place because my friend thought I really going to like this place.
My friend was right. I loved this place.
I love Cajun food, I eaten Cajun food a lot so definitely I can tell you that this place was one of best Cajun food.
We ordered lobster and shrimp head on with sausage with garlic noodles.
They Cajun sauce was amazing like New Orleans.
This place reminded me New Orleans Cajun food.
They service was very accommodating. Very friendly and very quickly serve my food.
Modern place and very clean place. But I hope restrooms was more clean.
I would recommend this place to anyone whoever around this area. I will definitely go back this place again if I have plan for travel to this area again.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 1 - Diane M.Lawrenceville, GA52228Mar 2, 2024Updated review
I don't care what anyone else in GA says but Capt Loui is the best seafood boil place! My husband and I have been coming here for years when they were just Loui Loui and over the years, they've expanded their menu and just keeps getting better and better. We always order the same things and will add on different items if we're up for it. Our musts are a few pounds of crawfish, shrimp with head off, and snow crab legs. For the sides, the garlic noodles are a MUST! It makes a big difference with your meal. We also LOVE the lemon pepper fries! They discontinued the soft shell crabs as a side but those were the bomb too. I hope they bring it back. We hardly ever have room for dessert but we always make room for the funnel cake fries or the beignets! They're the best thing to end our meal.
We love the Capt Loui style sauce and medium hot, for our seafood boil which is perfect to eat without us having to blow our nose often and drink water. lol The staff is always great and attentive and we love that our food comes out really fast.
If you want the best seafood boil, don't waste your time going elsewhere and hit up Capt Loui!Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0Feb 18, 2018Previous reviewWe have tried just about every Cajun seafood joint in town and I'd say this is probably the best we've had. Our server was Cecilia and she was really great. I ordered a sweet tea to drink and she made sure I knew it was not the typically brewed tea but was similar to gold peak and if I didn't like it, she would exchange it. She was knowledgeable about the menu and had great recommendations. $5 for the garlic noodles is such a great deal as a side and really satisfying. The lemon pepper fries was good too. Definitely worth trying. I appreciate that their hand wash counter had slices of lemon to wash your hands with. Decor is beautiful and we love that there were TVs on several walls so no matter which way you're facing, you're able to watch something. Will definitely be coming back! Thanks Loui Loui for being my new seafood joint!

Ok y'all. This place is awesome! For anyone who hasn't discovered it yet, drop everything and go - you won't regret.
I stumbled upon Cap't Loui when one of my girlfriends suggested we come here for a weekend lunch. We shared some seafood boil and a seafood platter so I was able to sample evraaaayyythannggg and it was so delicious! I was so impressed with the food that I ended up introducing some picky coworkers to this place a few days later, then they wanted to bring more picky coworkers here, and that is the story of how I ended up dining here 3x in 2 weeks.
The lunch special is ahmazzzing! I really hope they don't realize what an incredible deal this is and decide to go up in price because that's how great this is. So, listen - for lunch, at $12.95, you have your choice of two options: seafood boiler special OR a fried basket special., If you order the seafood boiler, you get to choose TWO seafood and it comes with a side AND soda! Like, holy crap. The fried basket special comes with fries and a soda for the same cost. The lunch special is available 11:30 - 3PM Monday - Friday excluding holidays.
I have tried most everything here but I keep going back to the OG: the seafood boiler. My typical lunch order is shrimp and mussels with cap't loui seasoning, medium spicy and garlic noodle. The garlic noodles come on the side and they're awfully garlicy and cheesy, so I typically strip all my seafood, scoop sauce using my mussels shells, and make another pasta dish with the order. It is SO GOOD.
My picky coworkers have all raved about the shrimp and fish. I've had both and they were fresh, fried well, and delicious.
PRO TIP: ALWAYS order the lemon pepper fries. Their lemon pepper seasoning is incredible.
Ambiance is fun, as you would expect from a hands-on seafood restaurant. It's a very clean establishment and although they are usually busy, I've never had a long wait. I also appreciate having handwashing sinks outside of the restroom so you don't have to take up a restroom to clean your hands.
Service seems to rotate - I see a new face serving me EVERY TIME, but that new face is always attentive, smiling, warm, friendly.
Now I've got most of my coworkers hooked - it's your turn.Helpful 4Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0 - Lora L.Lawrenceville, GA11158Apr 8, 2024
This is a great place to eat when you are craving seafood, whether you want boil or fried. The restaurant is small but the food is enormous in tremendous flavor. The staff is great. I also liked how they have a sink station on the outside across from the restroom, so that if you are done eating, you can wash your hands instead of having to wait in line to use the restroom to wash your hands. The only con I have is the wait time for the food to come out but I guess when you want great tasting flavorful food you'll just have to sacrifice your time but you won't regret it.

I have to say that this has been a great introduction for a new seafood boil enthusiast. First of all I have to say that the service at this Duluth location is absolutely amazing. Attentive care and smiling hospitality was a great welcome to this establishment.
Now on to the food!
For starters we got an oyster plate and they were good. I think they were a good price for 8 and the marinara sauce with the lemon juice complimented it well. I am no oyster connoisseur but I did enjoy it. Remember! 1$ oysters on Tuesday!
We got the 3 pound combo where we chose 2 pounds of snow crab and a pound of crawfish with medium spiciness. And when I say the sauce makes the dish I ain't lying with this one. A perfect blend of spiciness, sweetness, and umami graces the dish and make sit worth every lick, bite, and taste. The snow crab was so subtly sweet and full of juicy delicious meat. The crawfish tail was ever so juicy and the head was full of a savory soup that you just have to enjoy. Finger licking good as some might say.
I had the garlic noodles and eggs for the sides and I have to let u in on a lil secret that the boil is already accompanied by corn and potatoes already. Garlic noodles or rice are a good accompaniment for the spice of the stew!!!
The messiness of the feast is accompanied by two plastic food handling gloves and a plastic bib which were quite handy in dismantling the seafood.
Wonderful service and crazy good foodHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 1 - Jul 18, 20233 check-ins
It's been a long time since the last time I visited. My niece and nephew just got back from out of town and were craving for crab legs so we decided to eat here.
For my family, I ordered the kids meal tender chicken, the boiler with 1lb of crab legs , and 2 Boiler Special A.
The crab legs were firm but soft, sweet, juicy and fresh. I got them with the Cap't Loui sauce and it was delicious!
The restaurant was clean and the service was good. They have a sink in the back for you to wash your hands if needed.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
