I had a great service with Capps Van & Car Rental. We got a 15 passanger van for a bachelor party, the process was simple and direct, one day rental price was great with isnurance as well. Thank you so much for the service and clarity.

Rented a van for an annual outing we have with my run group. This was our 4th year going but 1st time renting from Capps because the prior company closed/moved. We rented a van on a Friday evening and returned it Saturday afternoon. They were closed by then but also assured me that they could see when I would return the van because they have cameras. I received a phone call the next Tuesday afternoon stating the van was returned damaged and they needed my insurance, etc to file a claim. We went back and forth and they sent me a picture of the dent damage. No paint was missing but they provided me with pictures of a dent about 6 inches long. They also told me they had cameras all over their lot and they could prove the van was returned by me damaged if they had to. I let my insurance company deal with them and then a couple of months later I received a bill from the Capps claim mgmt company for $3100. For a dent 6 inches long. Capps tried to claim $1400 in restore fees, $1300 in loss of use and other misc charges. For a dent 6 inches long. Oh and of course when pressed by our insurance company for the camera footage naturally the cameras were not working at that location that day.
I guess if they can't make money off of rental fees then they try and scam the public for bogus vehicle damage charges.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sally R.Orlando, FL2491Mar 17, 2019
A guy at the Dallas location on Self Plaza Dr. tried to double my rate upon showing up. He then lied to me and said he couldn't do anything about the price. Then when I was I going to leave and also showed him a lower quote from Avis he then lowered the price. The van is very nice. Normally the people here are very nice. But this guy was unprofessional and very smug acting.

I couldn't find a 15 person passenger van for rent anywhere in Austin. Enterprise had to call each location just to see if they had a van in stock. They had know way of checking on the specific van online. I stumbled upon Capps Van & Car rental through Yelp. Renting the van was cheap and easy. Thanks!

Nate, Moses, and Ricardo made everything about renting and returning a van on an hr's notice quick and painless. Best vehicle renting experience I've had by a landslide - thank you!

I had to rent a 12 passenger van to haul a bunch of dudes around Austin and Central Texas for a weekend bachelor's party.
I reserved online and everything went according to plan. The van was ready and waiting when I arrived. There were no surprises in the price at pickup or drop-off, the employees were friendly, and the vehicle was in excellent condition. The van was spotless when we picked it up, only had about 10,000 miles on it, and was fully featured with keyless entry, power windows, CD player, cruise control, etc.
Renting a van like this is extremely expensive when compared to renting a car, but Capps' rates were competitive with the other players in town. Plus, Capps is easier than Enterprise, as Enterprise requires prospective van-renters to speak with a specific employee who apparently never returns phone calls. And, I won't do business with Longhorn Rentals after a bad experience years ago. In my opinion, Capps is the best option in this town for a big van rental hands down.
One side-note worth mentioning: The counter employee asked to see proof of insurance when I picked up the van. Luckily, I had my own vehicle with me with the insurance card in it. However, I didn't receive any advance notice this proof would be required. This also seemed a little odd, as I've never before been asked for my own insurance info when renting a vehicle. So be prepared; I was simply lucky.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sean L.Austin, TX4274246May 9, 2013
Super nice guys. Very clean, new and well maintained vans. I rented a 15 person Chevrolet van for 12 people and we all had a blast. Guys were nice and price was reasonable. Budget, National and Enterprise never answered my phone calls and were always booked up.
Will definitely use them again. Found them on Yelp and I'm glad I did.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sue O.Redding, CA1878May 21, 2015
As a travel agent, I reserved with this company for my clients due to their great reviews - they really came through for us!! there was a mix up on payment for my 2 vans and were patient in getting it resolved with me. I will for sure give them my highest recommendation. Plus they are wayyyy cheaper than the rental car vans. Capps will pick you up from the airport and so there is no issue there. The vans are 1 year old or newer (one of ours had only 37 miles on it!), so you are getting a really quality product. Braulio and another guy helped us. Use these guys - they are great!!

In my opinion, this is the best place in town to rent a 15-passenger van. The vans are clean and seem fairly new. Rental is significantly less than the quote we received for a similar van at Enterprise. Not sure if this is fact, but the guy claimed we didn't have to return it with a full tank of gas.
