I guess by now Capitol Auto Body is my home away from home. :) Roy and Ed really treat me like family. Glad to have these guys watching out for my car.

Well this time around I had some fitment issues and bumper problems which Ed and Roy fixed up in under a day! Excellent work! Car looks amazing! Much better than when I brought it in!

CLOSED. This was our go-to body shop, but they are now closed. I called their number, and a woman identifying herself as the owner said the shop was now closed.

I needed some body work recently so based on very positive Yelp reviews, I decided to visit Capitol Auto Body for a free estimate. The estimate was done immediately after I got there. Although I wasn't looking to spend very much on an older car, after hearing what the estimate included, I thought the total they were asking for was more than fair. At no time did I feel like I was being pressured to repair the car after the estimate was done. After thinking about it, I decided to authorize the work.

When I saw the completed work, I quickly realized I came to the right place. In addition to performing the work as agreed, they did some additional work (buffed out dents and scratches) at no extra charge throughout the body of the car. The job was done flawlessly and on time.

They've won me over as a fan and I will refer this shop to friends and family who need a reliable and professional auto body shop. The owner of the shop, Roy, was pleasant to deal with from start to finish and appropriately communicated with me throughout the process.

The housing on side mirror was broken, and I asked Louis for a quote, which was reasonable. He ordered the part for me in a day, and fixed it quickly in 1.5 hours.

As a bonus, his technician also polished the metal part of the mirror and removed few scratches. Overall the experience was very smooth and pleasant.

They just finished my Excursion prior to their relocation to Santa Clara. The Excursion is now difficult to get parts for and the result is very nice.
When dealing with an insurance claim, I felt they were on my side to get the best repair possible. As it turned out they had to fix prior body shop work that was sub standard. I'll use them again and I suggest you give them a call the next auto body work you need.

The best people and most trustworthy award goes to Louis and his crew! My story was, I scratched the side mirror housing against my garage wall when I pull out of the garage. The scratch wasn't huge, almost 2 inches in length and a quarter inch wide, the paint and coating was off. I went to Yelp and request quote to about 10 shops, Louis from Capitol was one of the first few who responded, and with the lowest price, about 25% to 100% cheaper than some who replied me. (That's right, gotta to ask around for quote or I would have paid twice as much without knowing).

Upon arriving Capitol (they just moved to Lafayette by the way) I was greeted by Louis, who not only inspected the damage but also look around my cars for some tiny dents that he said he would touch up for me for free. After a few hours (some other shops who quoted me requested at least a full day), the car is back in perfect showroom condition, for the exact same quote he told me, not a penny more.

These guys are honest, respectful, friendly, helpful and polite. These words I said usually don't apply to auto-shop in general, Capitol is an extreme rare exception. Would totally recommend Louis @ Capitol, no job is too big or too small for them.

By the way, a disclaimer, they have NEVER asked me to write them up a good yelp review. I did this on my own, because they are so deserved it. They are that good. ;)

We have had the unfortunate experience of having accidents with two different cars. One of them was a 2008 4Runner where the whole left side was basically sheered off from a side-swipe.

I've dealt with quite a few body shops in my life and this has been the best experience. They are relatively small shop that takes good care of their customers with good personal service. They did a great job helping us deal with the insurance company in the smoothest way possible. At no point did I feel like they weren't totally trustworthy and a stand-up business.

The quality of the work is excellent. Both cars came back better than they were before the accidents. In one case there were a couple of minor details that were overlooked and when we followed up with and they were excellent about resolving them completely.

I would recommend this place to everyone. Don't go to Capital Collision (a big shop near Capital Drive-In) which is horrible and hard to deal with. If you have an accident, call this place first before even making your insurance claim and let them know you intend to use them, then call your insurance and tell them you'd like to use your own preferred body shop. At Capital Auto Body they'll suggest how to go about the claims process if you have questions. You won't regret it. They'll make sure you leave happy.

A very attractive Mother hit me, and I need work on my rear end of my car.

The Good:Capitol Auto Body is amazing with their work, made my car look brand new.

They can color match perfectly.

The Bad: I noticed even though they fixed the impossible, they missed one of my body lines above the fender. For awhile I couldn't sleep at night but I am glad my Subaru is alive and well again.

This is the place you want to bring your car, truck or suv what a awesome place. Roy and his team did everything I asked for and more to my 2014 Silverado. I was very happy when I picked up my truck today. it looks way better now then when I first purchased my truck. Roy took the time to call me to update me on it... Even made suggestions to extra items to make the truck Look clean that I didn't even think about...so I highly recommend you bring your vehicle here for any thing you need done to it... Thanks Roy and to your team for making this an great experience. From now on this is the only place I'll be bringing my truck and The Families too

I first headed over to Capitol Auto Body, Inc. because of favorable Yelp reviews. I got an estimate for auto body paint work following damage due to an act of vandalism...
Disclosure: I got estimates at competitors located on Winfield who shall remain unnamed. BOTTOMLINE: NOBODY COULD MATCH THEIR PRICE! This was a key consideration for me as I was going to have to absorb the hit and pay out of pocket.

What about the end result? Exemplary work, my older vehicle has a new lease on life... They were consummate professionals--every single individual with whom I interacted was terrific! I will highly recommend their shop to anyone I cross paths with. Capitol Auto Body has won a customer and advocate for life because of the quality of their work, their great customer service, and unbeatable prices. This is one of the rare instances in this life where you can get more than what you pay for...
