Capital Curbing

These guys installed quite a bit of curbing around existing rock landscape for us and new areas that we plan on planting/landscaping in the months ahead. Awesome job overall, took a couple days which was pretty quick for the job (i.e. ~600 feet give or take). Basically easy to follow the existing outline, and appreciate them taking my overall idea/directions for the new area and implementing a pretty great curve design. Straight forward on options, design, pricing, etc.

Amazing company!!! I love my new decorative concrete border for my flower bed. The crew was very helpful and friendly. They arrived on time. They did a great job cleaning up when they were finished. I highly recommend them.

My wife and I saw that our trees and flower beds were getting out of control with weeds. We needed a solution and were thinking about xeriscaping both. I then spent the next few months trying to find someone who could take care of our project and it was just beyond our desired price range.

I found Capital Curbing one day and saw that this could be a possible solution. Even though Marc was super busy with projects, he agreed to come on a Sunday afternoon. Talk about dedication to his product. After we got the quote, which was way less than xeriscaping, my wife and I proceeded to hire him for the job.

The results are amazing and can be seen in the pictures I included. His team got the work done all in one day and I love the final product so much. Marc was always professional, communicated well and a pleasure to deal with. Thanks so much Capital Curbing.

Want to start by saying I really liked the way the curbing we picked out for our flower beds. We liked the idea of it being concrete and was a good price, which is why I gave them 1 star. That being said communication with Capitol Curbing was poor. After numerous calls to their main number no one ever actually answered. The message stated to leave a Text which was answered late into the evening 7-8 pm. So we met, went over what we wanted and picked out what we wanted. The day before they were scheduled to do the job I reached out to see what time they would arrive and at 7:42pm I received a text stating they were gonna have to reschedule due to a axle breaking on the trailer. The job was rescheduled for a different day and I took off work again to make sure they were aware of where the sprinkler heads were located even though they had advised it wasn't necessary to be present that they would relocate the sprinklers if needed. I took off anyway and had pre-marked ALL the sprinklers with white spray paint that were even close to where they would be laying the edging. The one flower bed that was in question I had a conversation with them and advised them to go to the outside of the sprinklers. I didn't stand over them during the time they were working. Initially and again I was happy with the way they made the curbing look like rock. But then noticed the curbing was almost flat instead of slanting up like it was supposed to be. On the initial meeting they have a binder for you to pick what style and look of curbing you want. The curbing was supposed to have a slant upward to 4" on the back side. 95% of ours was 2 to 2 1-2 " and a few were 3". The curbing is barely visible over the grass line. And then in the flower bed we had discussed about the sprinklers they went right over the top of the sprinkler. After speaking with them about these two issues he advised he told me that when they stamped the curbing it would knock it down to 3". This was never discussed as he advised and again most aren't even at 3"! Just the fact that he had pictures in his binder to pick from showing a completely different look and obviously is slanting up to 4" is untruthful! I'll attach the pictures. The binder pic that you pic from has his sign in the picture. Then he advised me that they didn't go over any sprinklers that were marked which again is untruthful. It was clearly marked and we had a specific conversation about that flower bed. He did offer to come fix the sprinkler but at that point I advised I would take care of that myself. Again his pics of what it should look like slanting upward and what he provided us was totally different. I'll also attach a pic of the slant style we picked which wasn't flat! Due to the conversation, and putting all the blame on me and his obvious untruthfulness, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!

We recently had concrete curbing put around our trees in the front yard. . We wanted the curbing to blend with our brick. They nailed it! We couldn't be more pleased. Marc and Roger were very professional. They cleaned up afterward and left us with a beautiful finished product. Highly recommend Capital Curbing. Tell them them The Cox's recommended them.

I found out about Capital Curbing at the Austin Home and Garden Show
in January 2017 and was looking for a more substantial and attractive way of placing circles around multiple trees in my rather large front yard on a corner lot. I met the owner Marc Irvine who explained the process of placing a concrete curb that is offered in different styles, angles, curves and colors to match your house stone, brick, or roof. He came out to the house and gave a very fair priced bid and I had him return to do the job. He personally does the work with an assistant. First, he did an excellent job in mixing the color to use in the concrete and then using a special machine he poured a perfect curb with nice even curves on a separate decorative area in the yard as well perfect circles around 9 trees. He was very careful with the yard in the process and of course cleaned up after the work was completed. All I can say was Wow! Such a beautiful and substantial landscape feature for the yard, especially since his curb offered the burnt red color that perfectly matched my barrel style roof. So... now after almost 2 years, the curbs are holding up extremely well with no cracks or color change! I fully expect it will continue to hold up well as there are no signs otherwise.
I fully intend to call Marc this Spring 2019 to do 4 more tree circles and also a circular curb around a flag pole in my backyard, having him again mix the same color to match my roof.
I highly recommend Marc (Capital Curbing) if you are tired of replacing metal landscape edging that tends to rust and deteriorate fairly quickly.
He is very professional and delivered a quality and custom product, and in my case, finished all that work mentioned above in my front yard in one day. Amazing.
