It's a real winery but you wont find the vineyard out back. They make all the wines there in the back (make sure to sweet talk the owner Jeremy into a tour) and they bottle, label and ship from there. Huge selection of wines across the board and flights are the best way to get a taste of them all! Plus, if you like Mead- then you found your new home. Wine not your thing- then turn to the huge selection of beer and let them open it for you and enjoy it with a cold glass on the patio! Don't forget to order the cheese plate, because its Cougar Gold Cheese from WSU (just across the state line-also local) and you wont regret it.
Bring the kiddos in! Totally fine for them to hang out in there.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tina W.Moorpark, CA1233022Sep 30, 2021
Enjoyed accidentally stumbling on this quaint little tasting room. Ended up buying a bottle of their Spiced Wine, it is warmed like Christmas in a glass. Mmmmm.

I was just searching to see if Camas Prairie Winery had a Yelp page yet and I'm shocked that only two people have posted! Fantastic wines and I'm not much of a wine drinker so that says something.
Whoever does the hiring does a great job because the staff has always been super friendly and knowledgable. Which is good, because like I said, I'm not much of a wine drinker.
One piece of advice- Try the "Palouse Gold Mead". It's a great honey mead, best I've ever had. I pick up a couple bottles every time I'm in town.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Roxmarie M.San Francisco, CA12345038Apr 27, 2008First to Review
Yes this is a winery.
No, there is no vineyard in sight.
It's a storefront - and I asked about the vineyard, and whatever answer they gave me I accepted, because of two things...
First, their array of wines and drinks is just immensely interesting. They arrange them (and this may be common, but here it was more stark because of the small space and the fabulous attentions of the staff) on a spectrum of least to most dry. So basically you start with the honey mead - mead!! - and end with... I can't remember, either a Chardonnay or if in the reds perhaps a really heavy red.
For about $6 you can taste three, and they really spend time with you in choosing based on what you might be interested in or perhaps just on finding an interesting range. They made it fun.
I'm not a wine expert, but that night in the high desert Summer we were making spicy curry, and he gave us a nice Gewrztraminer which accompanied it perfectly.
Second, it turned out the proprietor, extremely chatty, went to the same urban university I did - a Gator in Moscow Idaho!
Look him up.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Ami S.Moscow, ID113Oct 7, 2008
This is an awesome winery, and it's not just because their my in-laws! LOL My FIL works very hard to make award winning wines and to have a knowledgeable staff as well. He makes everything right there in the back and tries to keep ingredients as local and natural as possible. Just this past summer I was helping him add his honey that not only came from in-state but was so natural and unprocessed it was thick as butterscotch syrup.
He has a very fine array of wines ranging from least dry to very dry. My tastes definitely lean toward the sweeter end of the spectrum and I enjoy Sarah's Blush (only lightly sweet), Domestic Goddess (sweet) and Late Harvest (dessert wine). My husband will often surprise me with a bottle.
There is also a very good array of imported beers. My husband is a beer snob (I can see where he learned it) and will usually get a bottle there as a special treat. I can't stand beer at all, except for one that I can only find here and that's expensive enough that it's saved for only special occasions, such as a holiday or sabbat. The Lambic fruit beers he carries are excellent. The first time I opened one, it was like being in an apple orchard. It doesn't smell or taste like beer at all!
The winery also has a very comfortable mezzanine for small group gatherings, a small offering of crackers & cheese, several gift items including bottle stoppers, handmade wine bags and even personalized labels, a wine club, a Wine Tasting 101 class with the man himself every first at 7:30 in the winery (reservations in advance), etc.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lizzy P.Salt Lake City, Salt Lake City, UT19015918Jan 2, 2014
Stopped in while visiting Moscow and had a great time! We sampled a bunch of wine for super cheap, chatted with the owner for a while, I could bring my kid in with me (can't do that in Utah!), got some tasty wine AND interesting beer to take home with me. I LOVED the spiced wine and brought some home to have at Thanksgiving. Also, get the banana bread beer.. holy cow that is good beer!
