Took diva in today for a re-check for conjunctivitis and Dr. Shaffer and Ishmael were extraordinary! They took their time with her and made her feel at ease . Love this practice! Been coming for 25 years and it's been a blessing for my doggos ! Highly recommend this practice and the entire team.

Do not get your animals teeth cleaning done here and do not get any sedation for any reason here YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR PET, empathy and compassion is non existent at this facility, when asked what happened to the vet she replied with "" he just died "" , this place is just all around poor human error when it comes to your animal

Dr. Woodby and his staff are the best!!! I've been taking my fur babies to add. Woodby for 33 years. I trust him implicitly.

Dr. Woodby is fantastic. He's caring, accommodating, and takes the time to explain the diagnosis and available options. He was there for our family at a time when my Bella needed him the most and she is now the healthy, bouncy, and loving fur-baby that we adore.

It is very comforting to have a neighborhood veterinarian that we can count on and trust.
The office is clean and well-organized. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and understanding.

We always have a good experience with them and today was no different! Probably one of the best vet visits we've had. They are well organized and so welcoming. We brought 2 of our cats for a checkup. One with some chin acne and dirty ears. My cats are really clean and I take them baths but we just rescued a cat and we wanted to make sure he didn't have ear mites or anything we should worry about. What an amazing experience we had with Dr Shaffer and Javi. We were so worried about our cats being traumatized but they were both so patient and made our cats as comfortable as possible. They first greet and hold them to make them more comfortable. You can see the difference when a person loves animals and this place is full of animal lovers!. On A Friday at 6pm they were as if it was a Monday morning. I know they were all tired but they took their time with our babies and with us. They answered all our questions and Dr Shaffer even shared some pictures and stories about his own pets. During covid Dr. Woodby operated our 10 year old Maltese and that was also a good experience. We will continue to bring our babies to Calusa for the best veterinary care!

If I could give ten stars I would.. I can not recommend this place enough. Dr. Woodby, Remi & Dr. Shaffer have all been so incredibly gracious and helpful with my dog who is not an easy patient by any means. From addressing major allergies, to dental procedures or just a routine check-up, I wholeheartedly trust this clinic with my dogs needs & am sooo thankful to have found such an amazing place I can trust. I highly highly recommend scheduling an appointment for the highest quality care for your fur baby. FYI they offer discounts on February and September for dental procedures.

We visited CCAH today for the first time with our dog Moose, after researching various vets in our neighborhood. Dr. Woodby and his entire staff were fantastic. From the moment we checked in with Frances, we felt a great sense of care and compassion for their patients. Dr. Woodby and his assistant were friendly, informative and attentive. He was also very honest, expressing a genuine interest for the best care and options for our newly adopted dog.
The office itself is clean, well managed and easy to find. We are certainly grateful for finding this veterinarian and hope that our review helps other to find this place as well.

Dr. Woodby came strongly recommended for a much needed second opinion, after my 10-year-old pup's heart condition started to get worse.

His original veterinarian was Dr. Hector Martinez at St. Francis Animal Clinic. He was being treated by Dr. Martinez, but was only getting worse and he no longer had other treatment options for my boy. I thought my last baby was about to suffer the same fate as his two siblings.

We brought him in for a visit and Dr. Woodby examined him and immediately put him on a few different medications. Within a few days my boy began acting like a puppy, with newfound energy and playfulness that we had not seen in quite a while. This treatment extended his life for over two years.

When it was time to put my boy down, Dr. Woodby had already reserved a spot for us while the office was closed. He gave us plenty of time to spend with him in his final moments. Dr. Woodby explained step-by-step how the process was going to happen. He was very patient with us and would come in the room to check on us and our pup, periodically. He could see how much we were suffering leading up to his last breath. He was kind enough to let us stay and mourn for as long as we cared to.

Dr. Woody and his staff are very professional, caring and compassionate, something Dr. Martinez lacks. You can tell the staff sincerely enjoys what they do. They actually care for the animals and treat them as their own. I am profoundly grateful Dr. Woodby gave my little guy two extra years. He never gave up on my boy, unlike Dr. Martinez.

We continue to visit this office since we have two Chorkies. Happy puppies, happy life! :D

We have the best vet in the world! Steve Woodby Calusa Crossing Animal Hosptial. This old gal was on her way out and Doc brought her back . No My kids can have her for more time. We have so much gratitude for him and the staff. What a wonderful animal hospital!! Steve Woodby is so kind, and tried everything he could and was innovative and determined to help her and prolong her life.

This vet office and staff are God sent. I usually deal with Dr. Woodby but I have also dealt with Dr. Ashby and both are amazing! Emily from the staff is also amazing. They not only gave us hope but also saved our dog when everyone else gave up. They tried numerous things that no one else even considered. If you have doubts about coming here, don't! You won't regret it. They treat us like family and in Miami, where everyone is out to make a dollar out of fifteen cents, it's amazing to have people who are honest and actually care about your pets, rather than ripping you off. Thank you is all I can say. We are extremely grateful.
