Cali's & Fries

This place is one of my go-to Mexican spots in San Diego. They have huge portions, and their Enchilada Carnitas Plate is my favorite plate they have. My husband loves the Breakfast Burrito. Their salsas are delicious! I love their authentic refried beans w/cheese. You just can't go wrong with this place if you love Mexican food. Who doesn't??! :-)

Y'all.. just everything on the menu. Do yourself the favor. I don't eat at many taco shops but this is definitely Top 5.

Enjoy my food here 100%. Great carnitas plate.  Carne asada burrito está muy bueno. We finished dinner with churros-yummy. Try this place known for their meats with fries- must try next time. Great salsas.

This fun shop has a lot of flavors, large portion sizes and good hot sauce. The carne asada is well seasoned and moist. Service is quick too - a phone order was ready in 10 minutes both times! I had Cali bbq fries the first time and an Argentinian burrito the second time. Both were delicious, but very filling, so a half size of fries might be in order next time! Definitely check this place out.

I've been going here for a few years now and it's just so hit or miss. Sometimes I get freshly made crispy french fries and everything is well seasoned, other times I get 10+ cilantro stems in a burrito along with soggy fries and not nearly enough salt.

I've had them argue with me that I actually didn't say I wanted VEGETARIAN fries when I called in, nevermind it's what we always order and my wife heard me say that. If you don't want to bother to repeat the order back to me don't blame me when you heard it wrong.

I've mostly just stopped going here. Honestly the people behind the counter always seem short staffed and overworked so I'm guessing a lot of this is on the management/staffing of the place. The cook dude has to answer the phone sometimes and work the register, and it's just silly to have one human do all that. Hire some more staff and pay them.

Great food. The fries were crunchy and the meat was really good. I live far but definitely worth the drive.

Taco Bell is way better than this place. The guy at the register was high as shit, he couldn't answer a simple question. Which explains how they screwed up an order.  I order 5 items and they literally made the opposite adjustments to every item. Instead of extra cheese we got no cheese, instead of chips we got fried, instead of pico we got not pico.

Food was not worth the drive, mediocre and no flavor at all and definitely not worth the price.

This place is bomb asf. Fast service and super good food. Unfortunately it is close to a CrossFit gym with skinny-fat people running down the parking lot, though.

Greasy good burritos and rolled tacos. Check and maybe precall on their hours they aren't always open late. Upside this places is also next to a pizza by the slice Long Island Mikes.

Low rating due to multiple instances of over charging on card beyond what is shown on receipts. Otherwise food is of typical fare.
