Great product, excellent service! Warren and his crew were all great and patio cover was installed quickly and looks beautiful.

We love our new patio cover. We shopped around and Warren at California Shade had the better reviews and best price by far. The end result is beautiful. Brandon their installer was incredible and had it up in one day and cleaned up his work area. We are so impressed the patio cover is high quality and looks amazing.

Just had our shade installed yesterday and my husband and I couldn't be happier! The whole process was easy and pleasant and we couldn't have asked for nicer guys to work with!
Warren did a basic quote for me over the phone based on the measurements I thought I'd want and then came out to measure, let me pick all the colors, trim shapes, and extras (fan) and give me a final price. Then he ordered that day! Materials have been tied up in weird shipping issues but he told me it would be 4-5 weeks to get them in and sure enough he was right on target. Warren called me as soon as it was in and had an install date available 2 days later!
Dan and his team were on time, super thorough, and amazingly fast! Plus they were insanely kind to my kids. I cannot recommend this business enough - I've already given the number to 3 other people!

We needed a patio cover for a newly remodeled backyard after a snafu with our project. I found this company from a flyer that they send weekly in the mail. It was the best price by far from the bids we got. One other company told me that it is the same product that is used by everyone for these aluminum patio cover kits, just some businesses have different overheads that affect the cost. That particular company had a bid that was twice as much as California Shade. We have pavers that required special footings and Warren did not price gauge for the extra work. Other companies wanted to charge $1500 extra for this, while Warren found a solution that was far more reasonable. The crew who came to do the job were efficient and handled our brand new pavers with precision and care. We loved that we could make small adjustments like requesting a flush front without tails to fit our modern look. We also had a fan installed (and wish we would have contracted for a second one!). All and all, this is an honest and extremely fair company that does great work! Thanks!

After getting multiple bids that were outrageously priced, I contacted Warren at California Shade. Warren came out promptly for a bid and after careful consideration, we decided to utilize a local company because it's the right thing to do.

The workers showed up on-time and methodically put up my FIL's patio cover. We were very impressed by the efficiency of those guys putting it up.

The cover turned out awesome and we couldn't be more pleased. There was a little clean-up issue that Warren was advised of and is using it as a learning tool.

This review is overdue! The work was done in June and it's been used heavily all summer long!

Warren and his team are great. We had several bids and Warren was first up. He set the bar high, while not the cheapest, it was clear he knew what he was doing and was going to get the job done right. He also actively listened to our ideas and provided input along the way. We went with a tri-color option that Warren told us doesn't happen often. We felt good about taking to lighter shade of the house and letting the structure tie in to some of the darker areas of the pool. Turns out it was a great choice and I couldn't be happier with the outcome,

It didn't take long to sign on the dotted line and wait for the materials to arrive. He told this was a one day installation which I thought was an aggressive target, but he assured me that's how they do it. It's a 12' x 32' awning and I really thought a 1-2 day process. I was wrong!

On install day the crew showed up and got right to work. I spoke with the foreman and he was as nice as could be an really listened to our vision for this and some of the options we were adding in. We added two fans (we supplied) and wanted the electrical a particular way. The electrical guys were great and figured out how to get this done perfectly! We also wanted to run a cable (hidden in the structure) to a TV we wanted to mount under the awning. Again the guys were great and even hung the TV. They suggested it be mounted a little higher than what I had in mind. With a quick explanation of the reasoning I was all in and it looks great and the angles are perfect for viewing.

It was a really really hot day at 100+, the guys still kept on it and got it all done before they left. One small bump in the road was the mess from the ceiling material we used. It was a 4" styrofoam core (for noise dampening and insulation). Unfortunately we had styrofoam snow all over our yard. The did their best to clean it all up but it was just too much to tackle. I blew into the pool over the next couple weeks and that lead to a couple filter washes and daily skimming. Not a huge hassle but worth noting. Warren said before the drought they used pressure washers but how had to rely on blowers and vacuums. Ok, enough rambling about one little bump in the road!

Warren and his crew delivered big time with a structure that's beautiful, solid and has already made a huge difference in the outdoor space. Life outdoors is great! The Giants & 49ers are up on the TV regularly (with great sight lines from the pool) . It also worked out well for a couple evening Game of Thrones marathons.

We are very happy with our new patio awning. We should have had this installed years ago.

We highly recommend California Shade. Warren's guys did a great job with installation and communication with us. On installation day they arrived at 8 am and were done around noon. We love the space, it's 12x20 and provides ample shade. We had the patio cover prewired for a fan but the electrical work was done by another local contractor. We love being able to support Elk Grove businesses.
