First time visiting this Coral Gables institution after many years of thinking about it. Did not disappoint.
Came for a late lunch and opted for the lamb chops with vegetables. Came with a starter mixed green salad and warm baked bread. Opted for a good glass of Amarone and finished off my great meal with a traditional tiramisu.
Nice ambiance, cute little bar area, and a favorite spot of local celebrities. I shall return.

The test of the meal was good but I prefer another Italian restaurant for these prices- if you go for the scene then I would recommend- if you're looking for great food - hmmmmm

742Jan 24, 2024I've been a loyal customer here for decades and the food, service and ambiance never disappoints. A+ 10/10 consistently every time. So many amazing memories over the years. Came last night for a working dinner and everyone was wowed (as always). The Snapper, Branzino, and Pasta dishes, are always amazingly delicious - and this is coming from a meat lover! Great for celebrations with friends and family or for a professional event. Can't say enough great things about Cafe Abbracci. No matter what you order, you won't be disappointed.

21578246Jul 17, 2023Updated reviewMy daughter brought me here for my birthday dinner, and I have to say it was absolutely outstanding. They have been around for a very long time. It is a very small, quaint place in Coral Gables as I remember. My grandparents used to dine there very frequently. The food was absolutely spectacular. The wine list superb and the attention to detail was absolutely wonderful. Although on the pricey side, it is somewhere I will definitely be back to go to and try other dishes on their menu. Make sure you make reservations, so that way you have ability to sit inside the restaurant. If not, there's a couple tables on the outside on the street but are available is first come first serve.

It's super quiet and quaint very cute. The establishment has been open for 36 years and the food was absolutely spectacular. I went with the waiters recommendations for the wine and plate of food and I am very glad that I did. We started off with a Barada. Our second course was a Caesar salad. I had the Tatiana tortellini and for dessert the tiramisu, all of which I have to say I definitely give five stars.

Again my favorite restaurant dinning experience period. Valet available as I have been asked or parking all around. The location is a staple again in Miami for Italian gourmet food . The me u is classic on its own w your favorites. The service is impeccable water bread smiles and making sure you are happy in all the aspects of your dinning experience. The food is prepared to perfection. The servers are professional they get it right. The veal milanesa is huge and perfectly cooked soft and breaded to a standard that I could never achieve! The bolognese pasta was superb amazing delicious wow. The filet mignon was amazing and the pasta soecial my friends ordered wow. Amazing carpaccio beef so tender soft yumm the bread goes perfect w it! The giant veal parmigiana was so good wow look at the pics. Look at the pics! Napoleon and after dinner Sambucca and champagne with espresso OMG everything was incredible. Lorus the staff managers everyone deserves my gratitude what a location what a place all I can say amazing!

Perfect ambience all coordinated excellent! Great Pommodoro pasta w marinará wow! Awesome veal milanesa cooked amazing. The special was the cod fish it was the best . So good even a Portuguesa chef would be excited! Moist fluffy and with a light sauce OMG great fries too and what drinks from the vibrant bar! All I can say Abbracci is number one!

Got our seatings complete with plastic walls transparent . Safety first. Also the service is impeccable. And the atmosphere is exciting as always! The location itself is exciting! Now the food . Perfection! I had the pasta w Marsala and the veal wow good. Also the breaded Parmigiana veal chop w pasta and that awesome red sauce! The sauce is just incredible very to the point ! Great desert had the pear dessert was good . All w a after dinner drink and a coffee espresso and a meal. Tine 3 hours minimum!! There are many kinds of restaurants out there. Some trendy some fast some depending on the culture . But when you go to an old establishment Gem like Caffe Abbracci you feel that you walked into another realm , where food and service is king. The owner is polite and always attentive and the staff is all about pleasing the patron. Great old school bar scene, with the roof looking like a Tiffany lamp. The room which there are two is amazing with glass lit walls and now plastic walls between customers for Covid protection and new glass walls murals on the front of the restaurants. Now the food . The amazing Tuna Carpaccio wow! This is truly the best I have ever had . Thin sliced with truffle oil just the right hint of citrus maybe lime or lemon amazing.
We ordered the Capellini Pata w marinara sauce with chunks or real tomatoes and sliced garlic and Italian herbs delicious . We also ordered the Veal chop which was perfectly cooked Medium Well and with pasta with tomato spiced sauce. Love the pasta and the CHOP !! OMG! soft crunchy on the outside and also with a sauce so good I cannot believe the sauce and just a little and with the Pasta yummmm. Dessert came with our Rose Champagne ! and also some good Bourbon with a Napoleon Cake . Now this cake is something with creme fresh and also toast layers with red sauce , you know the good kind so good. What can I say plenty of Italian bread sticks and a perfect meal. Also , Valet right in front of the Restaurant . Old school restaurant charm with food service staff and location to go with it . I am so glad it is still here and will be more!! Some food restaurants change w take out not the case here . Not here . First the packaging large silver warm trays and also some small ones keeping everything warm . I live far got home and wow its still hot !! The chicken Parmesan wow so yummy!!w cheese and sauce wow delish! Huge and so good glad cause i was starving. The Porcini mushroom wow i mean the smell and the taste its the reason why its the best! Milanesa Veal of course was perfect and with some veggies w potatoes that had the best flavor! Capellini was just way to good i mean even take out Lord i ate it all!! Some bread and wine what can I say so good . All i can say they remain on you even without the great dining room experience you get there .
Another visit to this awesome restaurant and it was magical. Valentines weekend came early. Of course perfect greeting by the owner and staff. You would think this Valentines weekend would slow them down . Not Caffe Abbracci, they were on their A Game from the start!

Good carpaccio fresh and awesome bread rolls yummm. Plus great short ribs pasta and awesome Tomahawk steak delish very well prepared and you can add any fixing available pasta fries veggies or all it is an experience! This is the best this is the most awesome delish experience. After a seating at their cozy bar to bring down the dessert Napoleon and make sure you ask when you get there they go fast!

The staff and the owner always happy. The place looks always stunning so classy and so busy but classy at tge sane time . Awesome decir vibrant bar scene and every type of parin you cN fund enjoying delicious food like the mushroom rissotto we ordered wow ! Batistoni! The best yummm and my veal was lean and tge sauce wow! I had extra pasta i cant get enough even though i had cream based sauce I ordered pasta aioli i meana it was so good my wife almost ran off with the plate. Perfect pasta and olive oil hot w some gatlic slice cloves that would make my grandmother blush! Lord it was the best Aioli i have ever had hands down!
Dessert of course cheee cake w a cream sauce on the side that had me licking my spoon. But could this place be so good really? Of course its Cafe Abraci!

The service was amazing, there was a great selection of wine, and their food was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be coming back again.

106252667Jan 26, 2023This was my first time at this highly recommended Coral Gables staple. Its reputation is well justified. Upon walking in, you immediately feel the vibe of an authentic family owned Italian restaurant. I was surprised at how many people were there for a Wednesday! The staff was extremely attentive, our water cups were never empty nor were our drinks!!! The bread was warmed to perfection. The calamari was perfectly lightly breaded and the zucchini was salty and not soggy. The best entree for sure was the black lobster ravioli. The Katerina was good just a little more dry. The salmon was well seasoned and plentiful!

This restaurant is amazing! It has really good food and serving sizes are so huge you can eat meals from it for two days it's definitely a popular spot for University of Miami students taking their parents to dinner while they're in town. Will definitely be back. The stained glass inside at the bar is beautiful and the service is awesome. Sat outside and had such a nice time:)

2423366Feb 8, 2023Our new favorite date night spot! Just down the street from Books & Books in Coral Gables is this hidden gem! Well hidden to us, it seems, because the place was packed with regulars. Everything on the menu looked so good that we ordered three pastas for the two of us to share because I simply could not settle on just two. They were all so good, but the standout was the linguini with clams. It was buttery, salty, with the right amount of herbs and perfectly cooked clams. Next, was the agnolotti with that sage butter sauce!! And the amatriciana was also delicious, just wish there was more pancetta. The tartufo was spot on, and while I liked how creamy the tiramisu was, I wish it wasn't so boozy. It's just a preference thing. Can't wait to go back and try three more pastas!

216236308Apr 30, 2022I came here with a group of friends for Easter, so I know this post is a bit late. But I had to write it because they deserve 10 stars!
We started with a couple drinks at the bar. I got a simple whiskey sour with Jack Daniels, a drink I've had a million times at a dozen bars. It tasted like they were using a top shelf whiskey because it was so well done!
When we finally decided to eat, we were seated quickly and take care of by a generous and friendly staff! I ordered the veal Parmesan (which isn't on the menu but I was there with a couple regulars who recommended it). I thought fries were maybe an odd side, but again came highly recommended so I followed the crowd. My dish was AMAZING. It was absolutely smothered in cheese and had just a dollop of sauce on top. I wanted to eat the whole thing, but probably would have blown up if I did! The fries were also fantastic. Shoestring fries are tough to get right because they're so easy to overcook and make crunchy, but these were perfectly done. Much like the veal, the serving size of the fries was asinine! All the more for me to take home!
Because it was a holiday, we treated ourselves to dessert. It was SO difficult to choose, but I went with the tiramisu. Guess what? It was incredible! I also tried some of the other desserts around the table, so I can say with confidence that you can't really go wrong.
I had a wonderful experience here and would gladly return another time!
