Cute coffee shop that has juice bar/ açaí bowl place attached as well!!
Nice ambiance with some holiday decorations as well!
Not too loud so good for getting some work done. Has combination of few couches and tables too.
The staff was very nice and fast as well!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jan 8, 2024
One of the most beautiful coffee shops in the city. It is filled with colorful flowers, lush greenery, interesting paintings, and a gloriously gorgeous chandelier. The interior is elegant and breathtaking. There are couches, as well as regular chairs and tables for seating. In addition, there is a juice bar, serving smoothies and healthy fare.
I ordered the Mocha and Spinach Pie. The Mocha was prettily prepared, and had a warm, chocolate-y taste, while being rich, creamy, with just the right amount of sweetness. The Spinach Pie came on a lovely blue plate, but with no utensils. The outer shell was crisp and flaky. The filling was a yummy mixture of spinach and feta.
On the way out, I got a Chocolate Babka Muffin, which was deliciously moist and soft.
The person behind the counter was great! He was knowledgeable about the menu and very patient. I would definitely return to try more of their coffee or smoothie, as well as Lentil Salad.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Oct 27, 2023
I came here on a Friday night to meet a large group of friends. I was shocked the shop owner was willing to accommodate us. The music was a tad loud. It felt more like a night club than a cafe.
I was hoping to order hot cocoa. Unfortunately, I arrived at 7pm and they were only serving alcoholic beverages and soft drinks. I ended up ordering a can of ginger ale for $3.
I love the ambience and the location is perfect. It is two blocks away from 23rd Street (e train).Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dean C.Brooklyn, NY07437Apr 23, 2024
Looks like a nice place.... We stopped off after Joyce theater...around 9pm only to be told they stop serving coffee after 6pm... We ended up getting coffee and cake at Eataly

Cafe-Flor is among my favorite cafes for working/studying in NYC, and one that I have frequented for several months now! The space is beautiful and operates as a coffee shop-plant shop-wine bar hybrid. One side is brightly lit and gorgeously decorated with near ceiling high plants, while the other side is warm with beautiful wall art. There is plenty of seating, although by the afternoon the space is often still completely full (but there is also high turnover being such a busy cafe!).
Service is great: the baristas are friendly and often go around making sure the cafe is kept clean. The coffee is also good with a limited selection of flavors and prepared fresh, so it doesn't have a burnt or acidic aftertaste. However, it is not the greatest or most memorable coffee either, especially given a steeper price point for the sizes. It is also extra for plant-based milk. I haven't tried the food or pastries yet, but one of my friends who tried a croissant really enjoyed it.
My primary complaint, however, is that it's often super loud with blasting music. If you need a quiet environment for productivity, Cafe-Flor is unlikely to be that spot. On each of my visits, I've noticed there is a bit of a "wet dog" odor towards the back as well.
Some notes: WiFi is free for customers, but sometimes very spotty. There are limited outlets, so be aware for long study sessions. There are two well-kept and clean restrooms.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - 21179349Sep 22, 2023
Tiktok said this was a great spot for doing work so I decided to check it out. It was packed on a weekday afternoon but luckily was able to get a table. I got an iced oat latte which tasted pretty standard. Wifi was cutting in and out and this place has lots of small tables and couch seats for doing work, so if you are looking for a bigger space this was not it. The bathroom was very clean and interior was filled with floral decor which was nice.

A one of a kind coffee shop! It is filled with plants perfect for a horticulturist. The coffee was OK, nothing out of this world. It was unique but the ambience was way too loud. They were playing dance music while people were having conversations, work meetings, or writing.

This is such a fun place! The drinks are awesome and I love the decor of this place. There are so many plants and bright colors and ample seating. They had $8 aperol spritz to ring in the spring and I loved sitting here and enjoying the vibes. The staff was also great- great sense of humor and service. I'll have to come back.

Absolutely LOVE this cafe.
PLEASE get the ham & cheese croissant. It has the perfect texture of crispy/crunchy on the outside and warm/chewy/soft in the inside.
Laptop friendly!! It does get a bit loud so I wouldn't recommend it if you have a lot of meetings, but generally most of the other customers are also here with their laptops thanks to their free wifi, two clean/spacious bathrooms, two separated seating areas, and lots of outlets.
The owner is super friendly (he also brings his dog and lets the dog walk around freely to say hello to the customers). The workers are pretty young and they did forget my order (ordered twice) and sometimes were loud sitting next to me when it was their break time, but it was fun seeing the owner and the workers' friendly interactions. Later towards the night they turn into a bar, and you will know because they will start rearranging the decorations and tables for it.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 9Oh no 0
