This review falls somewhere between 3 and 4 stars for me. I had a dinner reservation last Friday for 4 people. It is a cute, charming spot in the west village. Our waiter was lovely, but not nearly as attentive as he should have been.

To start, we had the frisee salad, beef tartare, and the tuna crudo. The appetizers were all good-- nothing amazing, but all good. The frisee salad was probably my favorite app- it comes with a slow poached egg. For my entree I got the salmon, which was very good-- the skin was very crispy.

Overall, it is a very cute restaurant and the food is good, although it's not a mind blowing meal.

Friend recommended this restaurant. He made a reservation and we were seated right away at one of the tables near the entrance. The spacing of the seats were a bit tight and were literally inches away from another. Other than that that, the service was good.

      Ordered the following dishes:
      Appetizers/Side to share:
      - Half dozen island creek oysters $24
      - Forest Mushrooms $12
      - Chicken dumplings buffalo style $19
Drinks: Felt a bit pressured to get a drink as someone came and asked if we would like to order a drink yet for a few times while we were still talking
      - Paper plane, Filthy Martini, The Cluny, Espresso Martini $18 each
      Entrees:
      - Roast All Natural Half Chicken Au Jus $32
      - Pan Roasted Atlantic Cod $39
      - Pan Roasted Faroe Island Salmon $35
      - The Cluny Burger $27
      Dessert:
      - Molten Chocolate Cake
      - One, Two, Three Scoops of Odeon Ice Cream

Oysters and mushrooms were amazing! As a person who rarely eats raw oysters, these oysters were fresh! Also wish the portion was more for the mushrooms because I would have gotten side by myself haha it was THAT good!

Wouldn't mind coming back again and trying other items on the menu, maybe for brunch?

Stopped here for a late lunch on the weekend while my mom was visiting. We were seated at the bar. The bartender, also our server, was great! Super attentive.

My mom got the salmon Benedict and I got the tomato soup. The salmon Benedict was solid but the potato that accompanied was very dry. The tomato soup looked like it was for a 5 year old! I've never seen such a small tomato soup bowl (especially for $15). Then they put bread in the middle of the soup that soaks up the little soup there is... doesn't make much sense to me. Also, I think the packaged Trader Joe's soup has more flavor than this one...

      Not sure I'll be back.

Brunch at one of our favorite spots in Greenwich Village.

This little bistro has phenomenal dishes and excellent service. The atmosphere is cozy, comfortable and charming.

It's one of our favorite go to spots for brunch.

My first brunch in the city I decided to spend here, and I was a little disappointed, because I wouldn't say that I liked everything. We ordered salmon tartare, avocado toasts, zucchini fries and the latter was the only thing that I truly enjoyed. Avocado toast was mediocre, fries were overcooked and dry. Service was ok, we had to wait to be approached for a little too long in my opinion just to place our order. Inside the place is a very cute French vibe, tables are really too close to each other, but luckily it wasn't overcrowded.

Pretty cute spot. Good vibes and very friendly staff.
We only got drinks, my drink The Cluny was very good, yummy and refreshing. The ones my friends have gotten was almost like a liquid garlic. The server warned them about the drink though, so I think they got what they asked for lol.
Overall great spot for dinners and cocktails.

Such a chic place. The interior is classic and cozy, I wish we ate inside!

We came for brunch, ate in the parklet. We enjoyed everything! I rarely am super impressed by french toast at restaurants, generally they're good/fine. Idk why but this one stood out to me! Loved it. Good service.

      BRUNCH
      French toast
      Omelet with side salad
      Side of bacon

Would recommend. Would like to go back if in the area.

Went for dinner with friends on Friday night and it was so good! We sat outside and got so lucky with the weather! Food was delicious. We got the Buffalo Chicken Dumplings and Salmon Tartare as appetizers and then I got the Homemade local sweet corn ravioli which were truly out of this world! The ravioli melted in my mouth.

We went to Cafe Cluny last Saturday for breakfast; it was delicious and delightful. The service was exceptional which highlighted the meal. We both had the same dish - the Three egg omelette with Gruyère, bacon, mushrooms (3 different varieties) and herbs. It was absolutely mouthwatering, fluffy with the blend of herbs and mushrooms adding so much flavor with just a crunch of bacon. We had a good side salad, a spicy Bloody Mary, and a latte to top off the meal.

Cafe Cluny is located on one of the cutest corners in West Village. I've only been for brunch but the food was pretty solid. I would say for the price you would think it would be a little better though. The ambiance however especially on an early warm spring morning/afternoon is unmatched and absolutely makes up for the average food. I am still dying to try the Buffalo chicken dumplings and some of the evening options.
