I was one of the unfortunate people who tried to purchase a firearm a month and a half before the passing of measurement 114, and my background check expired due to the overflow of individuals attempting to buy a firearm. This Cabelas was very sympathetic to the point I felt that they were more disappointed that I was denied than I was.
I was very thankful for the incredible customer service and understanding with a situation that was not their fault.
DO NOT BLAME THESE GUYS.
I am all for stricter gun laws and keeping firearms in the hands of responsible owners, but the employees at Cabelas (or any firearm store) are not responsible for this mess and no one should be holding them accountable. They are just trying to do their jobs, and it makes me sick to hear and see first hand the way people have blamed them.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rob D.Newport, OR1931Mar 16, 2024
Bought a Deluxe Meat Grinder, we live 2 hours away and about 95 miles 1 way. Got it home dead out of the box no power, no nothing. Was told we could bring it back (4 hours and 180 miles round trip) or send to Wisconsin for repair, replacement, or refund and wait 3 weeks. Thats it no other options. Fly the F.U. customer flag high so I can flip it off as I am driving by.

Lots of selection and parking but lacks good quality customer service, especially the gun area! They need to get rid of all the good old boys in the gun area. Each time I go to buy a gun, I'm always dissatisfied and disappointed and end up leaving! Pricy here unless something's for sale. Bought a few Christmas gifts and the checker couldn't even give me a gift receipt!!!

Outfit running a scam about me referring new customer and getting reward points. I refered new customer who applied for and got immediate approval of cc and is using same. Customer service fellow said my points were to be immediately awarded. The points were not. Then they said points would take a few days to show. After 9 days I called Cabelas and they said no points showed up. they gave me phone # of Capital 1 , the cc card issuer. They told me points would take 8 weeks to show up. This is false advertizing and they are not honoring their point referal reward promise. I find it deceptive and unethical and will not be referring any more people and will think twice
before darkening their door again. Previous to this episode I had been a good customer.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nov 14, 2022
I had a surprisingly good time at this Cabela's. We stopped while on a road trip with our 5 kids to look at coolers. While we didn't find exactly what we were looking for, the staff was helpful and didn't mind us really poking around. The kids loved the taxidermied animals on display, and--road trip holy grail!--the bathrooms were spotless. Thanks for the stop Cabela's!

This is one of the better Cabela's locations I've visited. Great selection, the staff is always friendly, and there are plenty of store associates to locate for any question or price verification.
The parking area is oddly laid out, but close to the door. The one downside is how long it takes to get to it from the freeway, and back again. When I leave the mall area, I somehow always end up in the USPS post office parking lot. Would be helpful if the facility added better signage to find your way in and out of this mall, since it is so visible passing through Eugene.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Christina C.Eugene, OR392816Jan 10, 2022
Enjoy having a wide selection to choose from. Customer service is always great. I do not agree with previous posts about the gun counter. I've never been up sold, never seen them be rude. I've purchased from this store for over 14 years and appreciate their professionalism in helping me find every gun I own.
During my holiday season shopping trip , the gun counter boys appeared busy but they were fantastic. They took time to talk to me about what I was wanting. Then they found me exactly what I was hoping to find. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Logan M.Portland, OR822427Dec 7, 2021
Unfortunately, i must concur with previous reviewers that customer service at the gun counter is quite poor. I was a bit nervous as i had never previously purchased a firearm, and i look young, so i felt like the employee was suspicious of me.
Employees in the fishing department proved to be more helpful and approachable; this is my favorite section of the store. The selection is unbeatable, though the prices are a bit high. You could justify this is you're earning points via their credit card.
Cabelas brand products tend to be quite cheap and i usually regret buying them even though they're inexpensive.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ryan M.Springfield, OR0152114Apr 26, 2023Updated review
I keep going back thinking things will change but NOPE!!!! Everything is higher priced than it is on line, limited selection of salmon gear and rods. Customer service is still crap. This might have been my last trip, time to close my cabelas card and move on....

Wayne ( this is the second time I have had the displeasure of dealing with ) must not like helping customers and it shows. Both times dealing with him he has a attitude. I'm in the process of starting a gun collection and was going to stick with Cabela's but if I have to deal with Wayne I'll drive to Albany and go to Sportsman's wear house or even Mazama. I'm sure I'm not the only person that feels this way about Mr Wayne. I think I'll finish my orders and take my gun business elsewhere.

I placed an order at the beginning of December. I realized after Xmas that it did not arrive. When I pulled up my order number I was informed it had been cancelled. I was never notified. I called customer support who informed me it was cancelled by the fraud department and I should have automatically received notification. I was also told this by the manager. When I called the fraud department they said the computer does not send cancellation notifications. Why would you ever cancel an order without notification????? I was told it was because my IP address was from Germany. Nothing else on my order stated Germany. I use a VPN. This is common practice these days. If your IT department does not understand this then they should be fired. Even this should not keep you from sending an email notification. I will never order from your company again and will inform everyone I know not to as well.
