The absolute best place to get a pork ban mi!
Service is always excellent and quick.
It's a small place but really cozy and welcoming.
It's located right in the shopping center next to Starbucks. - 89190894/25/2023
If you would like to support a local small business with good food and nice service I suggest you give this place a try.
I would give this place 4.5 stars if Yelp allowed but since that is not possible I went with 5 stars because the service was very nice and friendly.
The Food-
1) Bun Me Sandwich with caramelized pork- Very good and I would recommend.
2) Spicy Ginger Wings- Very good and I would recommend.
3) Shrimp Summer Rolls- Good and I would get it again. Â If you are like me and like a lot of sauce you should ask for extra. - 11841721137794/27/2023
Bun Me is mostly take out, but a few tables inside & just outside. Order station with overhead menu. Nice lady taking orders.Â
1) Cha Gio/spring roll in rice wrapper stuffed w/ chopped up saifun-like mung bean fine pasta, cloud ear mushroom, carrots, ground pork. There is a slight fermented sourness. Not as meaty, fat & rustic as Cha Gio by Pho Quang Trung in Orange County nor Golden Deli in San Gabriel Valley.Â
The fried wrapper is initially crispy, crunchy, but later becomes chewy, gummy almost like Mochi rice as one chews. The Nuoc Mam/sweetened fish sauce is more salty, mild, fish Umami. I added Sriracha to give more piquancy & sweet garlic tone.Â
PSÂ Egg Roll here has a wheat based wrapper.Â
2) Bahn Mi Dac Biet/ Vietnamese French Bread sandwich has a slightly crunchy surface w/ a more yeasty, moist Baguette center.Â
Thin, bland slices of pork Pâté, pork roll, and crumbled pork Char Siu dyeing the bread red and flavoured by 5 spice seasoning of star anise, cinnamon, Sansho pepper, fennel, cloves. However, the prepared meats lack a satisfying meaty Umami.Â
Garnish of healthful shredded carrots, Daikon radish, crispy, watery cucumber wedge, soapy cilantro, Jalapeño . Mild sweet-sour flavour of the vegetables refreshes the meat & the starch.Â
Food here is A-OK, and convenient for those living in north central San Fernando Valley and craving Vietnamese food. 3+ stars - 71721144912/19/2022
I recently visited Bun Me! and had a great experience. The lemongrass chicken was phenomenal and the service was incredibly friendly. The food came out quickly and the prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend!

Ordered their Bun Me Deli Special which included pate, pork, and char siu. Having tried banh mi's from other local viet shops in OC, this wasn't as good BUT it was still great for a quick banh mi fix! Pretty hard to find a banh mi shop in the Valley. I also got their Vietnamese iced coffee which was delicious and had that strong coffee flavor I love. It's different from American iced coffee since it typically includes condensed milk.
There is enough seating inside and parking lot is easy to find! - 6524544042/25/2023
A nice random whole in the wall kinda place. The service was really nice and patient. Especially because my wife and I kept changing our minds.
We ended up ordering two Bun Me Veggie Sandwiches with mushrooms and crispy veggie rolls. The crispy rolls were delish with a nice crunch! The veggie sandwich had tofu, which I can't have and did not realize prior. So, I ended up taking it off. But, the bread was great and the sandwich tasted great. - 21724124621/20/2023
This place is geared toward the grab and go!
It was tiny with 4 small tables!
The service was fast ! I put in an order then grab a table, put my bag down, made myself comfy on the seat then my food arrived!!!! So quick!!!
I got Caramelized Pork Vermicelli bowl as my main dish. Pork marinated well, no need to add any more sauce. it mixed lean pieces and fatty pieces! Vegetable that came with was fresh. The noodles cooked well..good softness and dense. I added small amount of Sriracha chili sauce to spice it up a bit. My bowl was yummy!
I ordered crispy spring roll on the side. 1 order has 3 rolls. Rolls were crispy and tasty. But it was a bit oily. Maybe it was just came right out from the fryer..it probably didn't get to rest to get rid of the oil! But it is a minor thing..acceptable!
My man got the lemongrass chicken vermicelli bowl. I got to share his for a bit. The chicken was soft and moist. I loved it!
I will be back for more

We had the Chicken Bahn Mi and the Pork Bahn Mi. Everything was amazing and came out quick! Try the Thai Tea and Iced Coffee too, very refreshing!

Holy cow! Thee best bun bo hue in the sfv. Despite not being served like traditional bun bo hue, it's still absolutely delicious and full of flavor. We also ordered the grilled steak bahn mi and the crispy egg rolls. Everything was fresh and delicious. Definitely returning to try more!

Yummy! The Bahn Mi Lemongrass sandwich is heaven. The bread is so good and just the right crisp and chicken seasoned well and all the yummy extra inside to make this sandwich so tasty. It was a drive for me from Woodland Hills about 20 mins but we'll worth it for this sandwich so good I am craving another one.
