Buffet da Rudy

Buffet da Rudy is the most Triestine kind of buffet you can find. This is the real deal where you will see people that work in Trieste take a lunch break eating a plate of boiled pork or just a panino standing up and then rushing back to work!
Quite cheap especially compared to other more "famous" options.

My wife and I just finished dinner here, and I don't know how we were able to walk back to our hotel after the large portion sizes we devoured. The owner welcomed us with a smile and was extremely helpful. The Jota soup was fantastic, and the Bavarian sample plater I had (forgot the name) was enough food for 2. My wife had the smoked pork plater, which she too couldn't finish. Great atmosphere and food in a cozy place that you'd expect to find in Munich, but right here in Trieste.
