Yes! They have a yummy hummus plate and also several of their salads can be ordered without meat or cheese.

Great pub food and also great service! We had the maple glazed Brussels sprouts and split the Bandito burger. House chips with the dill dip on the side for the win. And bread pudding for dessert!
They're serving Liftbridge's Fireside Flannel on tap right now - huge bonus!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 6, 2023
Omg...yum! I loved this place! We sat at the bar and it felt just like Cheers. So cozy and lots of people who seemed to be regulars. The inside looked like a typical dive bar (but very clean). There was a beautiful plant and tree filled patio that I would love to check out some day too.
We started with the house made chips with onion and dill dip. So good! I ordered the braised beef sandwich with potato salad and it was fantastic!
I had a beer to start with and then the best dirty martini I've had in a while. We loved the bartender!
Overall a great experience! Looking forward to another visit.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - daniella t.Minneapolis, MN4372Mar 17, 2024
Overpriced drinks with up charges.
Food is good but I've had better for a $100 charge on apps and drinks.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 17, 2024
Getting my fish and chips craving satisfied. The fish pieces were so big, I couldn't even finish 1 of them and they give you 2! You could definitely share this meal. The burger was great! The house popcorn is spicy! So beware if you don't tolerate spicy flavors. We enjoyed it but the first piece was unexpected. Great fish n chips and burger place!

We came here on Saturday for an early dinner. It was pretty busy. It has your neighborhood pub feel to it, casual. We got mac and cheese for our kids and asked for another bowl and they split it up for us which was nice. Of course they didn't eat much but I thought it was really good. My husband had the bandito burger with the salad that he said was really good. I had the reuban burger with their homemade chips and dip. I think i still prefer the basic reuban but this reuban burger was still really good. It was good and we'd go back.

This place is everything you want a neighborhood pub to be. The staff was really friendly, remembered my name and gave warm greetings. The food was excellent: I had the #nopaynenogain burger with the house made chips and dip. My friend had the special - fish burger. Knocked it out of the park. I also appreciate the historical tie-ins to the neighborhood. Brunson created the first maps/surveys of Saint Paul and there are lots of little nods to him and city history in the menu. I will definitely be back!

I'm never disappointed when I stop in at Brunson's. It's a local bar in an older building, but it's clean, staff is always welcoming and friendly, and I love that in the city there is a small parking lot. I've had their sandwiches and burgers and loved them both but my go to items are loaded Mac and cheese, loaded fries and their wings. The sauces to the wings are always so flavorful and the crisp outside and juicy inside are a win. They have a solid cocktail and beer menu so there is something for everyone. They also have a great happy hour menu. I will continue to make this a stop a few times a year.

we went here a few years ago with friends of our who are regulars. We got treated like royalty. We went back a few weeks ago and we still got treated really well. The food is good and we have been to the burger battle a few time for them! It's a very open space, which can get loud, but it's all fun.

Great food, outstanding service, loved the patio - a bit of the outdoors in the heart of the city

If you're on the East Side...even if you're passing by the East Side you must stop @ Brunson's!!! Your palate & belly will THANK YOU!!! A hidden(?)... nah.. a blended gem of Payne Avenue!! I've only ever lunched here, so the small-ish digs aren't bustling. But when I do stop in I can be sure of a few things... I will be cheerily greeted by owner Tom @ the host stand before he shows me to a table. Unfortunately I am a creature of habit... so I haven't tried much of the menu! My solid go-to's are... the Banh Mi, the Brunson Wings, wasabi soy!! The Classic Double burger. I only ventured to the burger because several years ago City Pages wrote it up as one of The Best Burgers of the East Side. I've had the cheese curds a few times.. delicious!! Not greasy like state Fair curds. The best things about the wings and curds? Their sauces are scratch! I don't know what the wing sauce is, but it is so much better than boring ranch! Years ago on my first visit, I discussed the menu w my server who highly recommended the tacos. She was convincing but I still haven't tried them. I am by no means a wing person.. I think it's too much work for a little meat. I find myself arguing? Debating? with wing connoisseurs that these ARE wings. Brunson's serves all thighs.. I am a fan!!! The sandwiches standard side is chips. I am not a kettle chip fan but believe in trying them before writing them off... glad I did. Brunson's has the best kettle chips I've ever had! While you're there; take in the history.. the old bar and old black/white photographs. There is street parking on Payne or Case, there is also a small parking lot behind the pub. Be sure to check out their beverage menu. They have a great small selection of craft beers and some stellar scratch cocktails. The kitchen is in the SE corner of the bar so the last thing I do on every visit is hit the restroom, en route I pass by the kitchen... I lean in to their plastic partition to loudly declare over it "fellas...as always, you provided me with the most delicious meal, thank you!!!" I usually get a chuckle and a thank you. To which I reply: no, Thank you!!! Brunson's covers all the bases! Delicious food, friendly staff, comfortable location and rad owners. Thanks Brunson's for consistently feeding me a delicious meal, brought out by fun and friendly staff that leaves me questioning... why I deprive myself by spreading out my visits too long? Cheers!!

From the moment we walked in the door.....everything was top notch. From chatting with the owner.....to the attentive, informative server, to the attentive fellow that came over TWO different times to top off our barely touched waters. But wait....it gets better....the food!!! Small menu but it all sounded delicious!!! The tap list is....just the right size...enough options but not overwhelming. Great digs. Definitely going to make this a regular option when looking to go out for a meal.
