Brownie’s The Shed Grille & Bar

My first visit was pleasant. The new location on Linn Station is near my work. I stopped in for an afternoon bite. The menu was a Bar Menu. I opted for the Brownie Burger with Steak Fries. It was a large tasty burger and the fries were tasty. The server was pleasant and quick. It seems that this new location is a positive!! I will return to try the Chili and Grilled Cheese. At times comfort food is what I want.

We love their wings! Always friendly service. And a decent place to grab a beer to boot.

I've been visiting Brownie's since moving to Louisville 6 years ago, mostly at their previous Hurstbourne site, and frequent takeout (thanks Covid) from their new location in Plainview (Linn Station Road near Kroger). I thought I had written a review ages ago, but apparently I was mistaken. The hubby and I finally had a sit down visit to the new location. Brownie's has a dive bar vibe that is definitely sports oriented with a lot of UK and UofL decor and numerous televisions. The indoor area is small, with 8-10 booths, and 8-10 tables and a bar area. There is an outdoor patio with seating too. Parking is available both in front of and behind the building.

The menu is typical bar fare. The double dipped dry rub wings are fantastic and what we always order because they are so crispy and flavorful! Service was quick and very friendly. Given the crowds they tend to have, especially on weekends and game nights, I was surprised that both the women's and men's restrooms were one- seaters! They are located right beside a small serving station for staff and the main path for servers and patrons that runs down the middle of the row of tables and booths. This must cause a lot of congestion!!

If you are looking for a fancy, quiet lunch or dinner, this may not be for you. But if you want a super friendly place to grab some drinks and wings, and watch a game with friends, Brownie's is your place!

What can I say that Seinfeld didn't already say "these pretzels are making me thirsty!" The pretzel bites and beer cheese are fantastic. Why haven't more places been this genius. Fried pretzels doused in butter. The beer cheese is slightly spicy making it a perfect side piece. The wings were just OK. The standout was the appatizer.

Before stopping in here for lunch with my wife and youngest daughter for lunch today I was not real familiar. I had seen what is either the original or a second location in new Albany Indiana a few times while on the way to the casino. I had no idea we had a location in Lousiville. So when I was in the area today around lunch I thought "why not let's see what this place has".

Place is medium sized with a rather impressive bar. The decor is a sports bar vibe as it has lots of decor surrounding around the tow major local college teams in university of Louisville and university of Kentucky.

We were seated immediately and received extremely fast service. For my entree I personally got a chicken quesadilla and my wife got a kickin chicken sandwich with a side of chili and Mac and cheese.

As mentioned the food came out lightning fast. So this is absolutely a place you can knock out on a short lunch break. My quesadilla was pretty good. Chicken had nice flavor and so did the cheese and the crust. My wife was a fan of her kickin chicken Sandwich and said the chili surprised her. She didn't think it looked good but said it was. The 18 month old enjoyed her Mac and cheese.

Overall this is a really solid American food establishment with a cool vibe. I'm not in linn Station much and there is a plethora of places to eat in that area so I'm not sure if or how long it will take me to come back. However, when traveling to Indiana to gamble I've had my eye on this place. And now that I know it's a nice option for an easy and quick meal I'll most likely stop in that location from time to time

Quick service. Not gourmet, but tasty. Good food, for the price. Family friendly. Had a good experience.

Went here for lunch when I had a hankering for a fish sandwich. The fish was thick and cooked perfectly. I opted for green beans as my side and they were delicious. This was a great option for a quick bite. The staff was attentive and the kitchen fast. I'll be back.

Last year we visited for the first time after watching live horse racing at Churchill. We really enjoyed the visit. This year we stayed at the same hotel and were there both Friday evening and Saturday evening. The staff was great treating us really well. The food and appetizers were awesome as well. We sat in the rear and there are TV's with sports everywhere. We hope to see you again next year.

Brownie's has been a neighborhood restaurant for years, first in Hurstbourne and now in Plainview. I could never make up my mind if I wanted to visit or if the pub grub would appeal to our family of four. With COVID-19 shutting down several restaurants (including my spot for wings), our neighborhood page encouraged me to try their wings. I'm so glad I did! The double-dipped dry rub wings are delicious! Crispy on the outside, yummy seasoning. We've ordered them twice for curbside pick up in the last two weeks.

We've also tried the German potato salad. My husband grew up eating his grandmother's so when he told me it was so good that he wanted to take an order to his mom, that spoke volumes.

Lots of people like the pretzels and beer cheese. The cheese is made with Falls City Beer and it's great but you get only a small cup. We needed twice as much for the pretzels. The pretzels are sliced, buttered bread and I wasn't a big fan. I'm going to skip those in the future as well as the waffle fries and stick to the wings.

Ordering and pick up has been smooth. I appreciate the messages on the outside of the bag. We'll be back and plan to get the cheese quesadilla for the kids, another snack that's been highly recommended.

My buddy and I stopped in here at brownies the other day for lunch. This is the first time I've had brownies and he highly recommended it. I got the double dipped brownie wings and I must say they were very tasty and delicious. I'm a big fan of wings these had great flavor on them. My buddy got a cheeseburger and fries and he enjoyed his very much also there's a good place to kick back listen to some music have a few beers and enjoy the good bar food

A great assortment of "grill" food like sandwiches, burgers, chicken strips. Good assortment of beer. I've been there several times and the service has always been good
