About the Business
For over ten years Brouwer's Café has been one of Seattle's most sought out craft beer destinations. With 64 craft beers on draft, a selection of over 400 bottles from both the U.S. and abroad, and Belgian inspired cuisine, as well as an exceptional selection of Scotch and American Whisk(e)ys and a full service bar. Our "Power Hour" is from 3 pm to 6 pm everyday and boasts a delicious selection of food as well as $1 off all draft beers and well cocktails. Our Belgian inspired cuisine includes our take on Belgian classics such as our Pommes Frites, (true Belgian fried potatoes) similar to fries, only better, Stoofvlees (a thick Belgian stew served on Frites), and of course the Belgian staple of Moules-Frites. We also serve a variety of sandwiches, such as our very popular Lamb Burger which is ground in house, we have a selection of Salads, as well as Desserts, and a rotating Specials Menu.

Great spot in fremont. Low key entry
Space is huge with two floors of dining.
The food was good. Â Meatballs were delicious with a Berlin currywurst style sauce.
The fries and stew thing ( AKA Poutine) was OK, Â not sure I'd order that again. Â
The mussels were fine but the size was disappointing. Â We were expecting a full pot of mussels and got about a 1/4 pot. With Penn Cove in our backyard I expected at least a more authentic amount with a full pot.
The cioppino was really good. Â Probably the best I've had outside of SF. Â A little skimpy on the seafood but it's also not $45.
Service was great. Â Friendly and casual in the Seattle style. We'll be back - 014311/8/2022
The food was absolutely delicious! I had the lamb burger with fries, and the meat was very moist. I'd never had a lamb burger before, but the way it was prepared, I am definitely sold!
It took a little time for us to get the food, but it's because they were busy. The service was friendly. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and I enjoyed taking in the decor. - 81162121089/22/2022
We came in late on a Saturday night just looking for a place to chill and hang out with friends. Â We ordered the Huyghe Deliruim Tremens ($11) and a plate of Pomme Frites ($9.50) and chose the aioli and bourbon dragon sauce as our dipping sauce choices. Â
The guys working here were so friendly and checked up on us often. Â They made sure that we had everything we need and brought whatever we requested out promptly.
The Tremens was good, it's not a dark beer so it's right in the range of my preferred beers. Â The fries were great as well. Â They're nice and thick and were crispy on the outside so they have a nice crunch to them. Â The sauces are really up to whatever you prefer, and I like mayonnaise based sauces so the ones we got were to my satisfaction. Â You could also request just regular ketchup to go with them as well.
Overall a nice place to hang out. Â The people here were great and the food was delicious too. Â I just wish that we weren't so full so that I could order some more of their other items on their menu. - Deenay D.Midtown, Anchorage, AK44211/13/2022
I tried this place for the first time a couple weeks ago. I had no idea what to expect, but oh my goodness, they blew me away. I had the Traditional Mussels with Frites and I can not stop thinking about them. The mussels themselves were very good, standard mussels but the sauce they came in was incredible! I was practically drinking it by the end of my meal.
They also have an amazing selection of beers and whiskeys. The staff was very friendly and personable. I will most certainly be coming back! - 212224965/15/2022
It's only the best place in town to get amazingly delicious food and an amazing selection of delicious beer. It might look like comfort/bar food but it's all made very well and their specials are finely crafted. Been coming here since 2016 almost weekly and I'll keep comin back until I die or until they close, which ever comes first!
Tim's the amazing chef in the back that is a wizard making these sausages every week. And I just have to keep coming back to put them in my mouth.

I've tried bites of food here, and it's always been great - the breakfast poutine, side salads, chowder, beer mac and cheese with bacon, etc.
This time I got my own croque monsieur (except I added a fried egg, making it a croque madame). I don't think the egg actually contributed much, but I loved the sandwich as a whole.
The edges were crispy and crunchy. The cheese had a bit of flavor without being overpowering. And the high-quality black forest ham was excellent.
I also tried the stoofvlees. They were pretty good. I'm normally not really into hand-cut fries, but these were crispy and delicious. The dish could have used another note as a counterpoint to the heaviness of the stew. It did have some creme fraiche, but you couldn't really taste it.
You can't go wrong with anything on the menu here, and I definitely recommend checking it out.
And if barleywine is your thing, don't miss the hard liver barleywine festival every year here in February. - Doctor K.Bothell, WA851963683/1/2022
This is a place for the beer lover. 21+ so leave your kids at home, but you can bring your dog.
Great fries, steak was good (order it medium rare for medium). One of the better places in Ballard area for the beer lover. - 02251642/20/2022
This place rocks--not only is the beer selection great (I love the range of Belgian varieties on tap), but the food is great too and decently portioned, especially for a pub / tap room and for Seattle's stingy portions standards!
Service was great and attentive -- never felt I had to look for a bartender when I wanted another drink or needed a refill on water! Food was also hot and fresh too! Love the fries here! - Cheryl D.West Lafayette, IN62710/6/2022
Worst service. Extremely rude management. Not respectful at all. Never coming here again.

Huge rotating draft list. Large venue with nice spacing of tables as well as plenty of bar seating. The poutine was the perfect combination of savory and salty all while the fries somehow didn't get overly soggy. Numerous menu items looked appealing, and it looks like the menu is rotated occasionally as well.
