Broadway Motel

Very impressed by the Broadway Motel. A friend and I have been traveling down the west coast and were a bit skeptical of this location at first due to the location and 'motel' in the name.... 5 freaking star!!! The owners were very helpful in getting us a last min room, even allowing us to check into our room 2 hrs before normal check-in!  

The inside of the room looks like a cute beach feel hotel while the outside protects you and your car behind coded gates. Nighttime is even better... they have those cute Costco lights that hang in-between the complex for a fully lit entrance and exit from your room to your car!  Very happy with this experience... this is actually the 3rd review I have ever left..... That's how the Broadway Motel exceeded my expectations and experience in DT Oakland!!!

Stayed here for a couple nights and it wasn't bad at all! Especially for the price, don't come here expecting a 5 star hotel but nothing was broken or gross. In fact, it looked like they remodeled recently cause it was very mid century aesthetic inside. I'm also a light sleeper and very particular in order to sleep well. The road was not too noisy, blinds were dark enough and bed was firm. Parking is included and gated. Check in was 2pm which is nice if you're into that. I would take the bad reviews with grain of salt, they were written a while ago and seems like they've turned around since then.

I don't know why the bad reviews because my husband & I had a great stay. We stayed 3 nights and recommend this place ! The bed was a good size & comfortable, the bathroom is modern & clean, the motel safe & secure, great location near plenty of good restaurants and reasonably priced. There was a mini fridge, large tv w lots of channels, good wifi & air con/heater for the room. We'd definitely stay there again !

We just had a quick overnight and couldn't have been happier.  The owner/manager is super friendly, the room was cute and clean with a comfy bed, the parking is free and gated (very secure) and there are some really good restaurants within a block or two.  We can't wait for our next stay!

I tried calling to save them 15% commission & they raised the price, then when I called back they asked me to call back in 10 minutes because they were busy: Horrible attitude! I worked at a hotel and never asked a customer to call back. I highly recommend not staying here.

Checked in here for a quick stay. I asked first floor room because I have kids and plus with all the things I have to bring inside. I was given an adjacent room. The rooms are very clean. The bathrooms are big and clean too. Though there's no microwave and refrigerator, it's still a good place to stay for a quick one (that's why I only gave 4 stars).

BOOK ELSEWHERE!!  LOOKS NOTHING LIKE ONLINE PICS.  Stained bed frame (gave bedbug vibes), rug that probably hasn't been shampooed in 10+ years, and poor customer service.  Woke up in the middle of the night due to the fridge buzzing so loudly (incessantly) that it seemed like it was about to lift off any second.  I called front desk and was told to unplug it.  I couldn't go back to sleep because you could hear noise from the streets and other rooms, and cars parking in the small courtyard.  The next morning, the socket in the bathroom wouldn't work.  I booked the place last minute for an impromptu work trip and the Indian man that checked me in told me to call him directly for future bookings. The following morning when I expressed my issues regarding my stay, he wanted nothing to do with me, told me his manager "Nick" would call me, and said said I could have asked to change my room. Sure, that seems like a viable option in the middle of the night, or at 4:30AM when I was getting ready for work. Haven't received any calls from management.  For the price they charge, it's better to pay ~$50 more for a cleaner, updated spot with safe, working appliances and finishings.

Hands down one of the best motels I stayed at for a last minute business trip hands down would recommend to all my friends and family the ambiance was to die for and you can tell the owners of the property take pride in their work!! And staff was very friendly and helpful!

Absolutely disgusting. I was scared to even move the place was so gross. When you pull in it looks like it will work for one night. It was literally directly across the street from the location I needed to be early the next morning, but I couldn't do it. Holes in the doors, mildew showers, clearly unwashed sheets. The health department needs to shut this place down. Cigarette ashes on the mirror, cracked tables, the peephole was missing the cover so they just shoved paper in it. The soap was not soap at all. Steer clear away.

Disgusting place ,seems like there is some kind of illegal activities going on here too ,room was so gross ,I'm not sure if there even anyone cleaning them after each use ,might catch a disease staying here .
