Absolutely loved my experience with their staff! Dr. Kindla was so kind and amazing! The team was extremely helpful with helping me pick out two frames and contacts!
They have so many great options with frames for glasses. I can't recommend this team enough.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Haoyang D.West San Jose, San Jose, CA992222Nov 2, 2023
Stay away from this place!!! Their optometrist doesn't know what they are doing!!!
The first impression when walking into the store, it gives you a professional feeling and it fooled me. I decided to drop off my rimless frame to get prescription. The person there refused to take the glazing instruction not just one time but many times. I insisted to leave the glazing instruction in the box to make sure the lab can get it right. However, they refused to do so and assured me that their lab had done thousands of rimless, they would get it right.
Result is that they don't!! They drilled wrong holes and made the glasses into a total different style. So I printed the glazing instruction and brought to the store, they told me it's really close and started to force bend my frame to change the angle. Not only they damaged my frame and the prescription was causing me tons of head dizziness. I didn't try to give them trouble and went to another doctor and they made it right for me.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lisa S.Marble Falls, TX012Apr 21, 2023
Customer service is amazing! I thought I had scheduled an appointment for today and it was actually for next week. I had "something " in my eye. I showed up and they saw me immediately and I definitely needed antibiotics.
I've seen them for several years for contacts and always consistent customer service!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Thomas T.Windsor, CA041Aug 21, 2023
Most expensive 2 pairs of glasses but smear all the time and unbelievable to clean. Nice people but worst glasses ever.

We were customers of Bristol Family Eyecare for over 6 years. Suddenly this year they've decided to start back billing for appointments that's we've had 3-4 years ago. I wouldn't advise going here unless you like getting bills for $75 or $100 years after you've had the appointments and then being treated rudely for questioning it.

Great customer service and friendly staff! Mrs. Carol was very helpful and easy to talk to, and answered all my questions before I made my first appointment. She helped me quickly to get my prescription for my contact lenses filled! I truly appreciated her amazing service and help, and will definitely be coming here again for all my eye care needs!
Bonus: Get a free lens cleaner or contact lens case when you check in on Yelp!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brett H.Houston, TX12501Jun 6, 2022
I thought I'd reviewed this business a while ago, so I'm making up for it now.
Every single person I dealt with here was not only the most professional, but also the genuinely friendliest, people I have ever dealt with when buying glasses. They went over and beyond to help me and I couldn't think of a single thing I could critique them on. I can't recommend them enough.
Sorry for such a short review, but it doesn't take a whole lot of words to tell you this place is awesome.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Shelby S.Downtown, Austin, TX01Aug 23, 2022
I scheduled an new patient appointment; however, they overbooked for the time that I scheduled. That being said, they were very apologetic and did a wonderful job making sure I was taken back for an evaluation as soon as possible. Julia was amazing! She was super sweet and a very easy person to talk to; she made the initial testing go by very quickly!
The only issue I had was that they tested something that was not included in the comprehensive exam--but I was under the impression it was. They charged me $49 for an appointment that should have not costed me more than $10. When I called the billing office the next day, they said that that photo was $39 and not included in the comprehensive exam: I was not informed/made aware of that this would be a separate charge before they proceeded with this part of the exam; however, they could not have been more accommodating about it!! They fixed the charge but reminded me that, next time I came in, to inquire if a procedure is included with the exam-- which I surely will.
Even through the wait and the billing mix up, they have an absolutely FANTASTIC staff working there! I will definitely be keeping them as my optometry provider.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rebecca J.Austin, TX07Sep 17, 2021
Dr. Bristol is a fine doctor, but his office provides extremely poor service for their retail contact lens and glasses business.
I've been waiting for ONE MONTH for new contacts to arrive. I would take my Rx elsewhere to be fulfilled, but I need Bristol's office to assess the effectiveness and fit of these trial lenses before I commit to them long term. Instead of proactively calling me about the delays to my order, I had to call or text the office myself repeatedly to ask for status. They blamed the delays on various the lab, the manufacturer, the holidays, various things, but what they need to recognize is that I can go to multiple different places to have an Rx filled. To stay with them, I need a better experience than I'm getting.
But there's more to this most recent poor experience with Bristol Family Eyecare. On the same day as I ordered my new trial contacts, I also asked for my glasses lenses to be updated in my existing frames (which I bought from Bristol's stock a year or so before). After a two-week wait, I get a text that my glasses lenses are ready. So I drive (pretty far from my house) to get the lenses popped into my existing frames. Uh. The technician comes out to show me that the lenses that arrived won't fit into the frames--they look to be almost 1/4" too wide on one side! How is such a mistake possible? So, in order to ensure they get it right this next time, I surrender my existing frames so that they can send them to the lab. ....
Fast forward 1 month and I finally get a text that my glasses are ready for pickup. No mention of my contacts (which I'm also still waiting for). When I arrive to pick up my glasses, the receptionist greets me by shouting across the waiting room and asks, "Can I help you? Do you have an appointment?" This approach has bothered me on the last several visits--this receptionist asks patients to shout their business across a waiting room/retail area. This is a doctor's office and I have the right to privately disclose my business directly to the receptionist--not within earshot of the entire office.
I write my name out for the receptionist and I wait. The new glasses lenses fit and look are fine. That's good. I give the technician some feedback about the process and she apologizes but says she's only been employed there 2 weeks.
Overall, I am so ticked at the whole experience. I'm so ticked that I forget to ask about my contacts--until I am back on the road about 5 mins away. I call the office and over the phone, the contacts technician says she sees an expected date of Monday (today is Friday), so they'll call me when the contact lenses arrive. I give feedback again about the process and how I wish I had taken my Rx elsewhere. (This is why I get all of my refills from 1-800-CONTACTS.) Now, I'm 20 minutes down the road and late for a work meeting. Bristol's office calls back and says, "Oh the contacts actually arrived 4 days ago. They are ready for you to pick up." You have got to be kidding me. They claim they sent me a text. Prove it. There is no record of a text. Indeed, there are multiple records of me calling and texting them to inquire. There is no text to tell me that the contacts are ready.
I am planning to pick up these contacts on a return trip ... and begin my search for a new eyecare provider. This office is too focused on appearances, status, and courting new clientele in their elite suburban location than providing excellent service and experience to their patients.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
